Vea Should Be Active

September 30th, 2018

NFL debut expected today.

Rejoice Bucs fans, that day appears to be here.

Per Adam Schefter of BSPN, the Bucs’ first-round draft pick this past spring is expected to make his NFL debut against the Bears this afternoon on the bank of Lake Michigan.

It will be the first time Bucs fans will be able to get a look at Vea wearing Bucs gear as he suffered a mysterious calf injury early in training camp and was out of commission for nearly two months.

For those that embrace the notion Florida is to hot for Vea, note that the temperatures for today’s game are expected to be in the low 60s.

    OMG!!!!!!!!

Are we actually going to see Bigfoot play today??????

I will be absolutely shocked if he plays more 10 snaps because they don’t want him to retweek that mysterious calf injury?????

……………no the icing on the cake would be if ROJO actually plays too????

  4. Easy Says:

Good luck big guy. Wish you well in your first start and hope you have a decent showing clogging up run lanes for a run heavy team.

  5. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

According to reports, Vita looked strong in practice. Excited to see what he has. He was a monster in College.

  6. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Also according to Greg Auman, “Bucs inactives we can anticipate: DT Allen, QB Griffin, OLs Liedtke and Cappa, DE (likely Spence), CB (Elliott or injury) and one more”

Does this mean RoJo might be suiting up today?

  7. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Also, it looks like Justin Watson might be suiting up in place of Freddie Martino.

  8. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Yeah

I’ll tell you what…….ROJO and VEA could actually be X factors today because the bears don’t have any tape on those two

  9. Miguel Grande Says:

    VV Microbus!!

    Beep! Beep!!

  10. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

……And safety Godwin Igwebuike did not get on the plane to Chicago which is a good sign that Jordan Whitehead will play and start today.

  11. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Martino is just big mystery

He looks great at times and then awful at other times

Watson plays like mike evans but with less speed….he’s more of a possession receiver

  12. THETRUTH Says:

Hey Buc fams lets be excited and stop being negative !!!!

VV Do your thing big boy

Rojo hice hin The ball and let’s see a 40 plus yard run

Please don’t run outside don’t thjbk we have gained a yard trying that all season (include preseason)

VEA & ROJO – MERRY CHRISTMAS PEWTER PEOPLE!

    @AlabamaBucsFan
Why would they bring Igwe along? If they wanted to activate him to the main roster they would’ve already done that after Conte got put on IR, instead they went ahead and signed a short, no name safety who used to be on the Giants.

  15. TheBucsAnthem Says:

I think Jason Licht has done a great job as our GM for the short time he’s been here

…….but now I’m starting to think he, the whole scouting department, and mike smith do not know how to spot Defensive backs

We’ve been dealing with the same crap for over two years…….this has to stop

  16. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

@OneBucPerson – “Why would they bring Igwe along?

Conte is out on IR and Whitehead was injured. Igwe was next in line to fill out the safety spot.

Glad to hear V V may be active. Wish his first action wasn’t on a sloppy wet field, that can’t be good for the worst calf injury ever.

    Go Bucs!

  18. Buc believer Says:

God I just hope he hasn’t gotten influenced by GMC and became a big ol softie… oh wait he “hurt” his calf first week of training camp and he also can’t take the Florida heat (even though he is from the South Pacific)

  19. JabooBuc Says:

BucsAnthem- what are you talking about? Evans, Davis, Stewart and Whitehead all look like quality players. VH3 was starting to look like something as well before his injury. WTH are you looking for?

  20. DBS Says:

Oh man Bopeep will really be pissed if they dress Jameis. And ifhe plays?

  21. 1sparkybuc Says:

Vita was raised on the west coast in a temperate climate. The heat and humidity of Florida is definitely NOT what he is used to. He will adapt.

  22. ATLBucsfan Says:

I think that he had a hairline fracture of the tibia, the non weight bearing bone in the calf. would take 6 wks at least to heal

    Just an FYI:
The tibia is the big bone in the lower leg, the one most people refer to as the shinbone. The fibula is the smaller bone on the lateral (outer) part of the lower leg.
