Jameis Vs. Fitz

September 25th, 2018

“Good Morning, Football” debates.

So here we are. Knee-deep in a quarterback controversy. Drama! Intrigue!

Should the Bucs keep starting a once vagabond quarterback or return to The Franchise?

It is such a hot topic that the gang of “Good Morning, Football” decided to tackle it. Joe will offer this space for Bucs fans to swing away as well.

Joe just knows this: If America’s Quarterback,  Pro Bowler Jameis, was the guy pulling the stunts last night that Ryan Fitzpatrick pulled, the howling would be so loud and intense one would have to seek treatment from an ear, nose and throat specialist.

Peter Schrager, who Joe believes is a closet Bucs fan, said something that grabbed Joe’s attention about Jameis and his relationship with his teammates. “I don’t see any loyalty to Jameis.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick….until he plays like Jameis

  2. Bucsdelight Says:

If only Jameis could throw for 400 yds in more than 1 game his whole career. That would be nice. Is anyone surprised that Fitz has the locker rooms support?

  3. Robert Says:

    give it to jameis

I said they would go 2-1 with fitz. jw will have a decent run and then he’ll implode. fitz will lead us into the playoffs when jw either gets hurt or does something stupid off the field or tries to put it on his shoulders and throws 5 INT’s.

so many bad could happen with JW. keep fitz healthy for the postseason. trent dilfer could make the playoffs with these weapons (and if they adjust to the 3-4 defenses)

  4. D-Rome Says:

It’s because Jameis is (allegedly) a franchise QB. Every person with a fake bear in that stadium last night knows in the back of their mind that Fitzpatrick will have a game where he looks awful. They know it and are resigned to it. Bucs fans don’t feel the same way about Jameis, nor should they. He was the #1 overall pick. They are held to a different standard.

Here’s the thing, and I hate to say it, but Fitzpatrick can make throws that Jameis can’t make. He also makes the kind of mistakes Fitzpatrick makes. At this point it’s a no-brainer that Fitzpatrick starts against Chicago. If they win that game, Fitzpatrick should continue to start.

  5. Wausa Says:

    Per espn.com:

Winston has similar or better numbers through three seasons than Roethlisberger had to the same point in his career. One big difference is that the Buccaneers have ranked 28th in points allowed since drafting Winston, whereas the Pittsburgh Steelers ranked fourth during Roethlisberger’s first three years.

  6. D the Bucs fan Says:

How would he see the loyalty? What do you say Joes? Your in the locker room. Players just wanna win. But we were 2-1 last year and we all know how that went. The team seemingly didnt look prepared to play in the first half of any game. Since the Dirk and Jameis marriage. Ie 7 points in the first half. For 3 years.

  7. Bucsfanman Says:

Easy! Play well when his opportunity comes. I don’t know why fans think the Bucs owe this guy anything. We’ve seen 3 years of what Fitz “did” last night with a few good games in between with Jameis. Fitz has played admirably as a backup, even last night down by 20.
Remember, there’s only one person responsible for the 3 game suspension. Fitzy took his opportunity and did well.
These coaches are on the hotseat to WIN. That’s what will dictate the starter.

  8. Joe Says:

    Wausa:

Good stuff. Gotta link for that?

  9. ben Says:

joe ,, why so much love for Winston ????? Has he proved to be worthy of the 1st pick in the draft or has he been passed by by qb’s taken after him on teams with lesser weapons. He is accurate throwing the football or just average with so many weapons? Didn’t he cost his school Big $$ following
female issues with charges of rape .. Did you see Winston (video) in the cafe screaming the nastiest things he wanted done to some female in front of other students . Didn’t Winston “borrow” crap legs from Publix and tried to lie his way out which the employee and publix both said the items were not given to him? Didn’t Winston forget to tell the nfl and team and the incident with the uber driver and then lied saying he was with another guys? Did he put his team 1st and state he is not allowed on uber and why? Did he try to hide from the truth again which got him suspended ? would you want him to be the face our beloved bucs nationally?? humm (just my opinion)

  10. Joe Says:

Ryan Fitzpatrick….until he plays like Jameis

According to the Jameis haters, Fitz played just like Jameis last night. 🙁

  11. NPR SageBoy Says:

This is only a controversy because JoeBucFan deems it so. To me, it’s a no brainier. Play Fitz until the magic runs out or he’s unable to play.

Fixing the D is a much higher priority than some manufacturer “controversy”.

  12. Dubcity06 Says:

One of the joes has selective hearing. Jameis gets so many excuses from his stans its almost like hes never made a mistake in his life. Fitz took advantage of Jameis own mistakes. Dont take him out if team is successful for first time in years

  13. c-spann Says:

I think this is getting skewed. JW hasn’t played with this upgraded line nor the play-calling so it’s crazy to compare last year to this year it’s not fair to JW he needs a shot to play with the same setup the Fitzpatrick has. Also our defense is not giving doing favors for a quarterbacks. The reason why we won the first two games cuz we were front-runners so we’re not winning from the get-go we’re probably going to have issues like we had last night

  14. Eric Says:

I like watching Fitz play, but at some point we have to let Jameis have the team back, so the franchise can see if he is going to continue the great progress he was making last year when he got over the shoulder injury. Also performed well in preseason this year.

What are we going to do hitch our wagon to a 37 year old journeyman? To what end?

Does OBP think this is really the guy to put us over the top? Like were making a run this year? Have they seen our defense?

He should be back for Atlanta. And hopefully for many years to come.

Here you go Joe. It’s a long article on espn.com

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/24774911/nfl-jameis-winston-tampa-bay-buccaneers-short-long-term-dilemma

  16. Joe Says:

joe ,, why so much love for Winston ?????

    Very simple.

    1. He’s the best quarterback this franchise has ever had not named “Steve Young.”

    2. Dude has rare skills.

    3. The hallmark of this friggin’ organization is getting rid of talented players. This may sound naive, but keeping talented players just might be the way to build a winning team.

  17. Joe Says:

    Thanks Wausa!

  18. Wausa Says:

    Joe:

I left a reply with the link, but it is not showing up on comments.

  19. pick6 Says:

Jameis can get you 4 TDs and 400 yards like Fitz can. Jameis can also get 3 INTs and 400 yards like Fitz can. Jameis is 24 and has consistently improved when healthy. Fitz is 35 and has been down more often than he’s been up. Short term the coaches need to read the locker room and decide between the two guys. Long term there is no decision to make

  20. Wausa Says:

    my bad there it is.
    You’re welcome!

  21. Godeep66 Says:

Fitzpatrick played exactly like JW play EVERY game. Turn the ball over then pad your stats by having to chuck the ball all over the field in a comeback bid. The only difference, is that Fitz Patrick has only done this in one out of six starts… JW does it 90% of every games that he starts

  22. First Down Tampa Bay Says:

Start hot Fitz against the best defense in the NFL, give Jameis two weeks to prepare for a worn down ATL defense. It’s all coming together perfectly and for once we’ve got a break here with the bye week. Don’t miss this golden opportunity.

  23. Hodad Says:

Doesn’t make a difference who the Q.B. is with a defense that can’t stop anybody. Teams are completing passes at almost an 80% rate, that’s insane. We have to out score every team we play to win neither Q.B. can keep up that pace. Jameis needs to take the reins back. He needs to prove he’s the franchise, there’s only 13 games left this year, he needs all of them. Fitz was a nice feel good story, but that’s it. Some of the feel good went away with 3 picks in a row. He played lose and had success when no one counted on him, but when expectations grew he did what he’s always done in the past, folded like a cheap suit. Be more worried who lines up at safety, and corner. If we stick with Conte, and Grimes Peyton Manning couldn’t get us to the playoffs.

  24. Godeep66 Says:

JW is a fraud. He will be a cancer in the locker room. He is a quitter, cheater, and a liar. The Bucs will be set back another 10 years if we let this poor excuse of a human trot back on he field. With that being said, I did pick him up on the waiver wire for my fantasy football team just in case Fitzpatrick gets crushed in Chicago.

  25. AlteredEgo Says:

Didn’t take long for the Stat Carriers to roll out the distraction of Jameis’s numbers…. I trust my eyes and Fitz throws a great long ball, throws on time and to the spot.. I think it was an Evans’s quote this morning when he said” Fitz throws the ball so I can do something after the catch ‘ I wish Jameis could show all the above the Fitz has shown and that he gets a chance to prove sometime this season . Say anyone watching the young guns that came out since Jameis and how well they have been doing? While running up big numbers he has been dragging a cart of head scratching decisions

  26. Uncle Says:

He has no support from his teammates in the locker room. That’s why Mike Evans sprinted across the field and started a bench clearing brawl last season in New Orleans. This entire media circus is almost as ridiculous to watch as this Kavanaugh nonsense.

  27. Tampabucfan88 Says:

Goddeep66 wtf really wtf you just need to go root for another team and stfu we worried about winning not f$;()ing fantasy

  28. DaPostman Says:

Folks want Fitz to play until he fizzles out. Then they want Winston in to rescue the season. Too funny. Look either Winston is the QB or not. I can see Fitz starting in week 4 but win or lose he goes back to the bench and Winston is QB 1 at Atlanta in week 6. Players need to know their role not to be put on pins and kneedles wondering what is happening. If Winston is allowed to languish on the bench for weeks then reenter due to injury this may stunt his progress and he may bolt after 2019. If he bolts and wins somewhere else these morons will regret it.

Tells us how you really feel, lol!

  30. D the Bucs fan Says:

Can i ask a serious question? Why does anyone think Fitz can take us to the playoffs when he’s NEVER been? I know Jameis hasn’t but we’re comparing a3yr starter to 14yr journeyman. I’m taking the 3yr starter that also has his own historic record breaking numbers. And has improved every year.

  31. Wausa Says:

Stop it with that logic @D the Bucs fan.

Jamies should be the starter, but it looks most likely Coach Koetter is going to make the mistake of not starting him.

  32. BigPoppaBuc Says:

Koetter’s comments point to Fitz starting. I think Jameis should play, but I can understand why he wouldn’t. The lack of loyalty that Schrager speaks of could be true. I think some players might get a little turned off by his reverend like styler of “leadership”. I think the best thing for Jameis to do is stay quiet and just keep ready. If he gets a chance this year he will shine. If he doesn’t get a starting nod it’ll basically be proof that the organisation is done with JW and he’ll be somewhere else next year. I’ve said this before but my worst nightmare is Winston winning with another team while Ryan Griffin trots out for us on Sundays. Scary.

  33. ATrain Says:

    One Question Joe

Why can’t you call out the great players for this faults

Jamies has to hit the long pass He can’t
Jamies needs to protect the ball he is getting a little better

    McCoy takes plays off
McCoy doesn’t show up when he has to to win
Soft for a DT nobody on the Steelers told Ryn Sorry

I’m all for believing in a player
But come on if either is going to be great they have to fix the faults

Joe talks about other players on here

  34. D the Bucs fan Says:

Does any one not care when we have talented players on our team. And then they go on to win Superbowls with other teams

  35. martinii Says:

I think the definitive sentiment is “He (Ryan Fitzpatrick) cost a lot of coaches their jobs.” Seven teams, has had the hot hand before, 9 inceptions in 2 games, 35 years old, He has a lot of history and everybody with any brains knows that history repeats itself. I Agree with starting Fitz in Chicago, but after the BYE this is Winstons team and his to lose.Carson Wentz came back this week after Noles was SB MVP. Thats the way its done, Big Ben didn’t lose his job when he was suspended. IMO

  36. Deminion Says:

@Joe koetter is an idiot if he doesn’t play JW, if he can play a bum doug martin who possibly cost the ’16 playoff birth and then depend on him again while being under 3 yards a carry. then y not start your starter lol

  37. GOBICS Says:

@Godeep66 would really like us to cut Jameis and sign Timmy Teebow

  38. americasenabler Says:

anyone see Fitzy reaction to the last touch down? Judging from his reaction, he’s not going to step back so easy. I know he’s saying all the right things but you can tell he wants the job full time. I LOVE THAT.

BUT Fitzy did his job as the backup QB. Now that the starter is back, it’s JW’s job to lose now. JW should start in earnest.

If A-aron Rogers was suspended for 3 games would they way until the bye to start him… uh NO. No reason not to start JW against Chicago and let the chips fall as they may.

  39. gusher gusher Says:

maybe fitz should eat a w

  40. miken Says:

@d buc… great point. This says a lot about our #1draft pick that we are trying to prove he is almost as good a a 35 year old journeyman back up .

Ryan Fitzpatrick….until he plays like Jameis… that’s funny!
Everyone talked how great Jameis was in the last game of 2017 vs. Saints that we won. He threw 3 picks, 1td, 365 yards and completed 54%.
Now everyone is saying how bad Fitz played last night.Ok, 3 picks, 3 tds, 411 yard and 60% comp rate.
One mans really good looks like one mans bad.

  41. D-Rome Says:

If A-aron Rogers was suspended for 3 games would they way until the bye to start him…

    LOL!

If you can’t comprehend the difference then there is no hope for you.

  42. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Bucsdelight Says
“If only Jameis could throw for 400 yds in more than 1 game his whole career.”

That is such a stupid remark. Tell me, has anyone else done 4 games in a row like Fitz has? Manning? Rogers? Favre? Wilson? Brady?

Nope. So why hold Winston to a standard no one else in NFL HISTORY has met except Fitz?

  43. TJ Says:

In my humble and honest opinion, there really is no controversy “chicken little.” There could be controversy if Jameis is given the starting job once again and he goes out and craps the bed…and we see the Jameis of the Saints game in 2017: (Completion Percentage: 54.9%; Yards: 363; TD: 1; INT: 3; QB Rating: 59.5) If this were to happen, a lot of people will be clamoring for Fitz to be put back in as the starter. Now you truly have a controversy!

Let’s remember too, Jameis put himself in the situation. He is solely responsible for letting himself, the team, the organization, and the fans to be trudging through this. I believe that because of the steady leadership of Fitz, and seeing other teammates like Jackson and David step up into more vocal leadership roles, the team has rallied together and truly have each other’s back. We don’t need “rah, rah”…we need calmness and consistency. Fitz brings this type of poise.

Fitz on paper has 4 interceptions this year…3 of which could be argued are not his fault.

Interception 1: OJ Howard could not secure the catch, ball pops loose and is intercepted by the Eagles.
Interception 2: Ball is batted in the air by a leaping defensive lineman. Intercepted by the Steelers
Interception 3: Evans runs the wrong route. (Passing is timing based as you know). Intercepted by the Steelers
Interception 4: Fitz overthrows Jaquizz Rogers in the flat. Intercepted by the Steelers. Completely his fault.

He easily could have had 2 other touchdown throws last night, both dropped by Godwin.

All this to say…all I want as a fan is to win. I am very confident the players, coaches, GM and everyone else in the organization want this more than I do. We have to stay with Fitzpatrick until, as Peter from GMFB says, Jameis has gone and earned the job from Fitzpatrick.

  44. miken Says:

The sad thing is the bucs threw away a win. The missed blocks, the missed tackles and the drops. Stinks we lost. Dirk blew it too by not running more time to end the 1st half.

  45. __TGH__ Says:

This is a simple math question.

As long as the Buccaneers are above .500, Fitz plays… he’s earned that right.

If the Bucs fall to .500, enter Jameis.

    Bring on Chicago!!!!!

P.S – Dirk, please have at least 2 people blocking Mack at all times, or the Bears will make the QB decision for you.

  46. Tampabucfan88 Says:

@goddeep66 also fitz played like Jamies hahahahaha hahahahaha that’s a good joke I’ll give u this lets put a three int game against u saying he played like Winston Winston vrs No last Year and fitz vrs pit both games both qb had three interceptions but here’s the interesting so let’s talk about the quitter cause that’s just plain stupid when Jamies Winston was throwing those picks did he quit on his teammates nope he drove down the field I got the 6 and got them the win heck Jamies converts was 4 & 10 from the Bucs 1 yes he threw int just like fitz but would a frud give his own body for a td mind u he was not 100% for a td but I’m getting off subject 3 int but u wanna know the difference Winston ints were not 1-2-3 pick six they were mistakes he acknowledged also I’m not bashing Fitz for the ints I’m nope I’m bash all of u for trying to protect him like he’s a franchise QB or something look I appreciate what he done but he either gotta acknowledged he’s to old and give it up or @godeep66 this franchise will be back to the mcown years and know if any of u real buc fans u don’t want that

  47. BigMacAttack Says:

I don’t care who plays, as long as it isn’t Conte. Just win and stop making careless mistakes.

  48. Ndog Says:

When Jameis walks on this franchise please no one who is ripping him now show any hate towards him as you all asked for this and if they go with Fitz you are going to exactly what you want. And oh btw we will suck for the next 15 years, congrats.

  49. miken Says:

@bigmack… Conte is done for year. Bucs put him on IR and Vance Macdonald Charged with Voluntary Manslaughter.

  50. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I meant 3 games in a row above.

  51. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Why is .500 acceptable???!

  52. Wausa Says:

    Ndog:

I am with you and I think the new agent Jamies hired is a possible indication he is looking to move to a different team. It would be another terrible screw up by this franchise if they let it happen.

  53. JameisWin55 Says:

Hearing Dirk say both QBs are aware of plan leads me to believe Fritz vs Bears then reinsert Jameis after bye week in Week 6 if that’s the case I’m ok with that makes the most sense actually.

  54. c-spann Says:

Conte is on IR and so is his career! We need to go get Eric Reid, he is just sitting there waiting

  55. Jman Says:

I hear Jameis plans to grope that starting job on the way to get some tacos.

  56. D the Bucs fan Says:

I wonder what fans were saying when we had Doug Williams and Steve young. I’m too young to know. Does anyone know?

  57. Jman Says:

Tua is the QB to return the Bucs to glory

  58. Dewey Selmon Says:

D, Bucs, Fans wanted Williams, Culverhouse didn’t want to pay him $800,000 and Young knew he was in a bad place. I don’t know who wanted out more, Young or his agent.

  59. AlteredEgo Says:

D the Bucs both were before the internet and discourse was much more conversation like…. Williams was loved although not without critics his was a Culverhouse prideful BLUNDER… Young it was impossible to tell because he was surrounded by street walkers and took a brutal beating each Sunday when QBs were treated as football players

  60. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

When the coaches went back and looked at the tape and saw that dazed look on the veteran Fitz face and the way he could hardly lift his feet as the magic carpet was literally snatched from under his feet.

They saw Jameis and how he thrives when they blitz…

What irritates me Jameis is still learning, he is young, Fitz WAS operating in a nothing to lose
position so he could play loose…also he is playing after things all the way back to preseason and play calling…while Jameis is being judged for his preformance after about 3 yrs and FITZ
been playing ALL of his ADULT life…

but it will be harder for FITZ against good teams cause they have found his achilles heel…if doesn’t throw down field his BUTT is theirs…

It’s an overthehill ride for Fitz but it is Jameis career! So long Tampa Bay!

  61. AlteredEgo Says:

Nole4…. is it possible for you to say nothing using fewer words?

  62. Bucsdelight Says:

    Bonzai,

I didn’t say anything about having Jameis do anything like Fitz. Reading comprehension. Jameis has only thrown for 400 yds once in his career. Jameis is not an efficient passer. Sure he’ll get you 250 and a TD, but that isn’t winning games. He is the 4th best QB in our division and will never be more. Turn your blinders off.

  63. Buc1987 Says:

Fitzpatrick is a backup QB. That’s why he’s IN Tampa.

Before suspension and after suspension. A back up QB.

Thee end. Nothing left to debate.

  64. VA BUC Says:

This fan base is thee dumbest group out of all 32 teams yall are so stupid every single one of you who thinks Fitz is better than jameis c@use jameis would habe won that game last night…..how bout we talk about BRENT GRIMES being the trash i said he was why he’s still on the team i have no clue the dude is toooo old to be checking these recievers hes a liability and injury prone. ….BUT ITS TEAM JAMEIS FOR LIFE sad this base has turned on jaboo just sad

You can’t just rate Winston and Roethlisberger in a vacuum. How weak!

Guess who else has favorable stats when compared to Roethlisberger’s 1st three seasons. Marcus Mariotta, David Carr, Dak Prescott (2 seasons), Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton.

  66. SOEbuc Says:

They’re giving it to Jameis for the next few games to determine what they want to do the rest of the season and look into the future of both these QBs. If Jameis implodes and goes 1-2 or 0-2 to start, they’re going to put Fitz back in, and if he can continue to get wins and connect, he’ll play the rest of the season.

  67. AlteredEgo Says:

I’d love to know the locker room vibe on the QB debate….as they say actions speak louder than words

  68. Buc1987 Says:

    VA BUC….they are dumb huh?

Been saying that for years…prolly before Sapp said it.

I come here for fun….they amuse me.

  69. WalkdaPlank Says:

It’s still Fitz’s job to lose.

Bench the guy who got you to 2-1 and has thrown over 1200 yards and 11 TD’s

Or bench the guy who hasn’t been with team for almost a month and has not ever in his career put up near those numbers in a 3 game span

    Do the math

  70. Wausa Says:

    @D the Bucs fan

The media and fans were calling Steve Young a bust because he was forcing things and throwing a lot of picks because he was trying to overcome a horrendous defense.
You could see the potential but fans and media kept pushing to get rid of him so the 49ers traded a 2nd round pick for him.

The Bucs traded one of the best WB’s in history.

  71. WalkdaPlank Says:

However Jameis isn’t going anywhere. He’s the *potential* future of this team, but Fitz has outballed him with his performances from last season and this one. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jameis got some playing time against Chicago (unless Fitzmagic shows up again) and then started after the bye.

As for who STARTS the game in Chicago? Fitz

  72. Buchead5588 Says:

This is a Joke ass fan base Jameis all the way Support My QB #3

  73. Wausa Says:

    Geno
I posted what an NFL executive said to ESPN about Jamies.

  74. D the Bucs fan Says:

Those comparison numbers are bogus. How many games was Jameis hurt. You have to include playcalling in the discussion. I’m just amazed this team hasn’t quit on Koetter yet. He is clearly in over his head. Fluke 9-7 season the only time this team didn’t look bad was the oh nevermind i can’t think of a time where all three phases played good at the same time. Someone tell me what game that was so i can watch it for myself.

  75. Jman Says:

JW is not worthy of a $100 million contract in Tampa

  76. Godeep66 Says:

JBoo who. He will be a Trivia question in ten years. And it will be for the off the field stuff.

  77. Bucco 2002 Says:

Fact of the matter. Fitz should start this week, then see how it goes. My guess is that we see Winston at some point in October.

There should be no question that Fitz has earned his shot. There should also be no question that Winston has more upside for the future. If you take Winston’s first three seasons and extrapolate them over a 14 year career like Fitz, Jameis has roughly twice as many TDs and yards. Assuming he get no better from now on.

  78. D the Bucs fan Says:

Wausa. That’s what i kind of figured. I wonder if gruden the foresight to draft Aaron Rodgers a he started right away would he be the same player he is today.

  79. Mightyjoey1 Says:

I am so blown away by how idiotic fans are in this town. The few franchise quarterbacks that we have had (Steve Young, Vinny Testaverde, Doug Williams) we find stupid reasons to go in a different direction/ replace them, etc. Folks, Jameis Winston IS our franchise QB; he stepped up in the preseason, and if this team decides to mess around and play around with this too much, we will be watching Jameis lift a SB trophy for some other team, like we’ve seen before. I am so take back by how short-sided fans in this town are; it goes to just how much we still have to learn in this town.

  80. Buc1987 Says:

Fitz will start on short week…..get his bell rung in Chicago….

Jameis will lift the SB trophy like he lifts crab legs from publix

  82. Issaic haggins Says:

There is no reason to start Fitz unless you think he can win a Super Bowl , Jameis is a better QB hands down and is still learning .

This isn’t even debatable from a football standpoint !! This is almost as bad as the Clueless Koetter and Licht Doug Martin debacle.

Starting Fitz is going backwards , he won’t last and he isn’t winning a Super Bowl . Fitz thanks for the Magic and letting Winston watch what you have learned but Winston’s the Future and Better . Tomlin showed you how to beat Fitz !!

  83. T REX Says:

Why does it seem like Fitz has the backing of the lockerroom?

  84. INSPIRED Says:

I don’t know why you guys think that there are so many Jamie’s haters. There’s not. Same 3/4 little fellas with no job. And look how stupid they are with the little children comments. No worries. The couple of boring commenters just rinse wash and repeat. They know they don’t have anything in reality. They are FULLY AWARE that if Jamie’s had the same O line and Monken was in charge that Jamie’s would have even better numbers. They know that. In reality we need to feel sorry for the couple of haters. It’s clear they are “butt hurt” Mariotta cheerleaders and are SCARED TO DEATH that when the best shows up that their butts will hurt again. That’s all. Wouldn’t you be scared to get your butt hurt again and again? Well sure you would! And please, don’t try to reason with them because you are trying to reason with a couple of guys that simply rinse, wash, and repeat. Nothing special. The Truth of the Truth is a simple question because the owners and the franchise are the real test. The future SB in Tampa Bay or Wash back out for Another Decade with the McClowns of the world. Don’t get me wrong, nice guys but NOT SUPERBOWL CONTENDERS! Where is your sympathy for the BUTT HURT? STOP TERRORISING THE BUTT HURT!!! GO BUCS!!!!

  85. INSPIRED Says:

By the way, our record this year will not be bad enough to get a shot at a replacement 3/4 year project. Well unless we give up the future for 3/4 years to get one. It’s just more basement and the “butt hurt” really like small dark corners to cower in. It is SO MUCH FUN BEING THE LAUGHING STOCKS OF ALL OF FOOTBALL AND STARTING OVER AGAIN YEAR AFTER YEAR! Don’t you all agree that the ownership has made impressive calls in trading away almost ALL of our first round draft picks to watch them go take another city to the playoffs and SB championships year after year. ISN’T IT FUN 👍

  86. BucEric82 Says:

I find it pathetic how people are trying to justify Fitz INTs and mistakes but When the defense gives up 500 yards with 0 sacks in a game or the kicker misses 3 FGs in a game it’s automatically Jameis fault.

  87. Mike Says:

Telling statement by Koetter- “Jameis got his wish, he was the player and the coach at the same time.”

Shows me that Winston is done- much in the fashion of beta male Schiano and Freeman- It’s all about territory. Klueless coward Koetter doesn’t even have the marbles to publicly bench Winston. He’ll let Jay Glazer leak it.

Fire this chump immediately- if you’re too threatened to go with the top dog and ride out his ups and downs, you’ll be out of a job soon enough-

At least Dungy wasn’t threatened by toughness This guys a punk.
If I was owner he’d be walking out with his shoebox in hand before Sunday.

  88. Mike Says:

T Rex- it’s because their all soft and don’t want to be out of a paycheck by these spineless light and Koetter- disloyal coward coaches

  89. SteveK Says:

    may the best QB win!

I hope we can beat the Bears this week. 3-1 at the bye week would be huge.

It is paramount to judge our QBs equally and thru the same lens. No excuses, Which QB makes the best decisions with the ball, and sets up the O for most success? We will find out.

  90. SteveK Says:

    Mike,

Jameis is a member of the team, 1/53. Not a top dog, but rather middling QB in the NFC.

Jameis has a lot of talent, but can he develop? Can he stop turning over the ball so much with poor decisions?

Forz’s turnovers this year 3/4, and 1/4 is on him. We are 2-1 bc we have been taking care of the ball better.

Notice Fitz’s yards? Maybe he presents the ball better than Winston.

I think Jameis can still get there, but he needs to grow up and sit down this week. If Fitz wins this week, start him again. He’s less talented, but a better decision maker and not one suspension away from a lifetime ban.

I will break my Jameis jersey out of the closet soon enough, and I ask that the JW3 supporters judge him equally as you do a Fitz.

  91. Mike Says:

    Steve K

Does K stand for Koetter? Relative? Or is this your handle coach? Is this your voice hiding behind the curtain just like you do behind Glazer?

If these are the points coach, come out and say it publicly like a man.

  92. Posey99 Says:

“Jameis can get you 4 TDs and 400 yards like Fitz can. Jameis can also get 3 INTs and 400 yards like Fitz can. Jameis is 24 and has consistently improved when healthy. Fitz is 35 and has been down more often than he’s been up. Short term the coaches need to read the locker room and decide between the two guys. Long term there is no decision to make”

He has (1) 400 yd game his whole career

  93. Posey99 Says:

There’s No QB debate, we have the #1 offense in the NFL right now. I repeat we have the number 1 offense in the nfl right now! YOU DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON OFFENSE. Please shut up already

  94. Bigbucfan90 Says:

I don’t get why everyone is blaming the defense when Fitz has three of four turnovers on for a pick six take that away Bucs win that game last night the defense shut down the Steelers the 2nd half of the game and held Ben under 100 yards so the defense is getting better and jpp is a animal so again Fitz 3/4 turnovers smh Fitz did great this three hame stretch and I see him starting in Chicago but when your franchise and your job is around a guy who was drafted first overall you have to take that chance fitz has done this many times with 7 nfl teams!

  95. Tc Says:

Cmon man, fitz is almost old enough to be Winston’s father. Luke, I am your father, lol

  96. Blogtalkfootball.com Says:

None of you are looking at the facts. Jameis will not start in Chicago, but he will be in the game by the second half, because Fitz will be broken into a bunch of pieces after the Bears defense drag him around the field.

    Flags?

They won’t care about no stinking flags!

Fitz will need magic to recuperate. So Jameis will come in and settle everything down and bring us back for a win.
