“He Is Taking The Right Approach”

July 25th, 2018

Talking Jameis’ mindset.

Taking new Bucs’ left guard Ali Marpet information, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, is focused on one thing.

Despite in the middle of a new agent search and having the dark cloud of a three-game suspension to open the season hanging over his head, Jameis is taking everything in stride and seems to be focused on the right things, Marpet believes.

That is winning ballgames.

Speaking to the Tampa Bay pen and mic club as Bucs veterans showed up for work today to open training camp 2018, Marpet gave his perspective of Jameis’ line of thinking after being slapped with a three-game sentence by NFL strongman Roger Goodell.

“His mindset is, how can we be the best team moving forward?” Marpet said. “I think he is doing that. We all support him. Obviously, we have been together for a little while now. Yeah, he is taking the right approach since the suspension.”

If Joe were Jameis during the three-game suspension, he would cut a check to Bruce Arians and work out with him for three weeks and pore over Bears tape like a mofo. Arians and Jameis have a relationship that dates back to Jameis’ high school days. Arians, of course, is a legendary NFL quarterback guru who retired after last season.

That, in Joe’s eyes, would not be a “silly” thing for Jameis to do.

    Suspension begins in early September.

That’s the smartest suggestion I’ve read in the 6 years I’ve been here. Joe you have the access, talk to someone.

Addendum to Joe(s) suggestion. Cut a check to Arians AND cut a check to a battered women shelter or similar. I know this is a football site but JW has work to do on the field and personally and I think a well rounded PERSON/HUMAN is automatically a better QB when you mix personal growth WITH professional growth.

Joe you are absolutely right. Hope there is someway to actually make that happen.

Better yet get Arians on a treadmill and hire him next year.

Let’s hope it lasts…he was taking the “right approach” after the Bucs gave him the chance of his lifetime…until he wasn’t.

Again..football is entertainment and so a large part of the overall organization is dependent on PR. Hopefully Jameis realizes he can’t go out drinking and getting blind drunk with losers. He needs to take a bodyguard/babysitter to protect him from all these gold digging cleat chasers that some folks here believe lurk around every corner…LMAO…what he really needs is a bodyguard/babysitter to protect him from himself.

Again it’s not Jameis against the world…it’s Jameis against Jameis. As Buc fans we can only hope the past was an aberration…again and again…and that he has truly learned from is mistakes. Again the most positive thought I can summon about Jameis is that he goes all Randy Moss and turns his rep around.

If Mike Vick can rebound I’m sure Jameis can too.

    @ChanEpic

Incredibly well said, and agreed. (woman shelter comment) – I do think this would be a great move on Jameis’ part, and something that I would think would be within him to want to do.
