That should hold a great deal of influence with TMax….

  2. mark2001 Says:

But seriously, who doesn’t like Dirk? He is the very picture of a players coach. When we get problem children on the field and they continually start, it isn’t Dirks fault…he is a nice guy. When the D collapses, isn’t the coaches fault…”we bad”…next. When we can’t get a TC with first and 10’s inside the 10 yard line? Dirk feels badly….can’t be his fault for play calling that doesn’t work? Who wanted Rah fired? Nobody…I heard he was well liked. Unfortunately, when you can’t win games, being a nice guy doesn’t count for much.

    LOLLLLLLL….mark 2001….

  4. Dewey Selmon Says:

I’m sure Dirk is a great guy to have a beer with, but he said it last year. The only thing that matters is wins and losses.

  5. AlteredEgo Says:

Dewey….gotta have the horse….we all know how many holes there are in the roster both sides of the ball OL-DL- CB-RB….coach that !

  6. DB55 Says:

    I’m not a loser or a sucker

I beg to differ. Apparently McIceCream is picking up comedy now too. 🤡

  7. crazy Says:

So how many wins would Gruden have chalked up with this team from beginning to end this year?

  8. mark2001 Says:

Crazy…I’ll give you a guess….nine wins, seven losses….or maybe better. But then, he would probably be running an Offense more advantageous of Jameis’s considerable talents, and he would have cranked up the D to play like they have the last few games, during most of them this year. And he would have moved faster on the Kicking situation.

  9. mark2001 Says:

And BTW…I’ll guarantee you he wouldn’t have run a “sugarplum and candy cane land” training camp.

  10. mark2001 Says:

Altered…aren’t you among the guys that told us that this team was so ready to go, the sky was the limit this year? That thought I was smoking something when I said we needed to sign another RB in the off season or we could end up in the basement of our division? This D does need one or two pass rushers, the O a talented center, a running back, and another one or two CB’s. But there is good talent on this team. And now you talk about how “talent deficient we are” when I don’t remember such talk in pre-season. Or was it someone else that was saying all those things?

  11. Mike Johnson Says:

HEll, I’m a nice guy. My boss says my work is great. My boss told me, Mike everybody in the office loves your work ethic. When I asked him about a Xmas Bonus he said, Let me reflect on that for….next year!! You see as section chairman, I took several hits for 2 under performing staff who were eventually..FIRED. Dirks a great guy. We all shower him with Love. 4-12 brings him ..the Hot Seat. Nothing is Dirks fault. Its the players, the Defense..the calls..
WHere is the captain of the ship? Come on Dirk, We can’t fight alone against the monster. Stand up and take your severance pay!!!

  12. AlteredEgo Says:

    Nope mark….

  13. Hodad Says:

You know what they say about nice guys? They finish last!

  14. mark2001 Says:

Don’t remember you standing up and saying what I was saying…we were few and far between. But maybe you were. I’m saying this team isn’t as “talent deficient” as you think. But without strong coaching, we will never over perform….and overall, our talent level is about average….better talent than most on the O side of the ball, weaker on the D side. And I don’t think we are the forth or fifth worst team in the league.

  15. derrickbrooksforGM Says:

@mark2001 so well said. Might I just add that a few folks on that team wanted Shiano run who wasn’t a players coach. Inmates are running the asylum here in Tampa indeed. Anyone remember the scene in Apocalypse now at the Do Long Bridge? That’s the bucs right now LOL

  16. Mike Johnson Says:

We fired Lovie because we thought Koetter was better. Now we want to fire Koetter because we think Gruden is better. To be honest guys? I wish we could fire the GLAZERS!!!!!!!!
I’m not a Koetter fan. However he should be given one more yr IF..He agrees to Fire his comrade..DC Pressbox Smitty!! if he does not agree then..have his severance check ready too!

  17. Rod Munch Says:

Mike, if you remembered the Culverhouse years then you’d love the Glazers.

Also I don’t think there is any doubt Gruden is better than Dirk – it would be an amazing reach to think Dirk, who has won nothing, is better than Gruden or that they would be tied somehow. I’m not a big Gruden backer in the least, but it’s a silly notation to think Dirk is the better coach. The question is if Gruden is worth the expense and the time it will take to retool the team – and paying Lovie and Dirk and Gruden is quite the expense.

  18. BucEmUp Says:

As Ive said a million times….the man has one losing season. ONE!!!!!!!

It’s unheard of to fire a head coach after one bad season.

The only way I’m happy if Dirk is fired is if

    A. He refuses to part ways or/force coach Smith to change the defensive scheme.

    B. John Gruden comes for the HC position (Don’t want Arians really….don’t hate it but don’t love it, would take over scenario A.

Hopefully Koetter will stay OC with Winston because anyone who’s not a complete moron knows Dirk is a great play caller. If Winston was doing a better job winning games nobody would be bitching about the playcalling. Hell most winning teams have predictable playacting but they execute.

  19. Mike Johnson Says:

Rod Munch..then lets bring on Gruden. Anybody! I’m so tired of Losing. I just see teams plugging in players from injuries and keep winning. And I see us..Every Sunday, there is something..and you just know..we are going to lose. if we win Sunday, we knock ourselves out of the 5th pick race. And we need to stay there for a chance at Chubb. He’s not the answer alone. But a great start on our Defense.

  20. Kevo Says:

Of course he’s saying he likes koetter. Chucky comes in gmc will have to step up or he’ll be outta there

  21. Kevo Says:

Gruden will tell gmc he doesn’t care bout stats he wants quarterbacks on the ground
