Records Dropping

October 27th, 2017

Setting new standards.

It isn’t just America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, who is setting records.

The Bucs offense, No. 1 in the NFL in passing, is on fire of late. So much so the Bucs are doing things few Bucs fans have seen before.

And if the Bucs have success offensively Sunday at the Den of Depression, the Bucs offense will have accomplished a feat no Bucs fan has ever seen.

Per the Bucs’ media relations staff, the Bucs have totaled 400 yards of offense in the past three games, tying a franchise mark. If the Bucs roll up 400 yards of offense Sunday, it will mark the first time in Bucs history the team had four straight games of 400 or more yards of offense.

Already the Bucs have 2,357 yards of offense through six games, which is a franchise record.

But, yeah, the guy responsible for acquiring 9 of the 11 starters on offense, some folks want run out of town.

It is too early to start drinking yet?

    Best article you’ve ever posted

    Buc Nihilist….AWESOME

  4. Kyle Says:

It’s sad when i am starting to actually miss mike shulas offense with alstott and fun and a winning defense compared to this hot mess we.currently have

  5. Kyle Says:

    Dunn, man spell check sucks

  6. Warrenfb12 Says:

IM it really ready to run anybody out of town -except maybe Mike Smith. That said, somebody needs to talk with a D-line guru/CB guru to figure out how to draft and develop players at those positions. These guys stink at it.

  7. Dewey Selmon Says:

And those 3 games? all loses. i’ll take 250 yards and a victory.

  8. denjoe Says:

Do you mean the man who is responsible, for the players on this historically bad defense without a pass rush or a secondary? At least we have a running game, oh wait…… Bragging about an offense that isn’t even balanced? We have some nice pieces yeah but don’t spin it like were some kinda offensive juggernaut. SOME of those yards were in garbage time, because we weren’t even in the game and our opponents were protecting a lead.

  9. sorryitriggeredyou Says:

He called a great game in Buffalo, but only wins count not moral victories. JW has taken another giant step. IMO he’s officially a top 5 QB. Now just get a decent defense and you have a super bowl team s@ht you not.

  10. 813bucboi Says:

passing aint the problem…the problem is not running the ball, scoring in the red zone and playing good defense….we have no problem moving the ball…its scoring TD…we may be #1 in passing but were probably dead last in running the ball and in the middle of the pack at scoring…..

hopefully, we can end this 3game skid…BUCS24 CAR17…..GO BUCS!!!!

  11. C eh N eh D eh Says:

    Windy forecast…passing might be reduced…

  12. bucsnorth Says:

I agree with denjoe. Stats are alittle bit misleading when you ALWAYS seem to have a bad first half and are playing from behind 2nd half. Of course your going to have alot of yards when the opposing defense is in prevent and they are protecting a 2 score lead. I would like to see a stat that shows how much production our offense has when the game is within one score. Good teams seem to come out guns ablazing and actually score on some of their first quarter possessions. We have no urgency at beginning of games. That at least in part reflects on our play calling and the coaches lack of aggressiveness at beginning of game. Not calling for heads to roll but we definetely need to change our approach.

  13. BFFL Says:

Great..I’ll just flip the channel when the D comes on the field

  14. sorryitriggeredyou Says:

@denjoe none of those yards where garbage yards, those yards kept them in the game. Garbage yards are throwing for 200 yards in the 4th quarter down by 3 scores and not scoring.

  15. rrsrq Says:

Lets go Doug and keep our defense off the field

  16. Mike Johnson Says:

What good is scoring 40 points when the opposition scores 41?
    Mayday..Mayday..Black Hawk going down!!

  17. D-Rome Says:

The Bucs are 2-4. Record breaking yards are meaningless and are not contributing to a winning record.

  18. Lord Cornelius Says:

At least there is some silver lining here. Top 10 scoring offense right now in points and it hasn’t been against an cup cake schedule:

Rank in points allowed this year:

    Bears – 13th
    Vikings – 5th
    Giants – 17th
(not including Cards since Winston didn’t play – but they’re bad)
    Patriots – 23rd
    Bills – 4th

So basically the Pats were the only easy match up. The Giants were playing much better defensively going into our matchup as well at the time.

The Bills game just hurts so much lol. We lit them up compared to anyone else and should have won like 33-10 if we had a competent defense.

  19. Mr. Ed Says:

Joes, it’s not too early to start drinking. I’m on my third bloody mary already and it’s not quite 10am on a Friday. The Winston bashing is so stupid but par for the course for the fan base Sapp called the dumbest in the NFL.

  20. Maze Says:

No doubt Joe. Lots of dumb Buc fans out there

  21. pelbuc Says:

Stats are misleading. A lot of yardage is in garbage time when Bucs are trailing by 20 pts. That same GM is also responsible for the atrocious defense, draft picks, FA signings and lack of depth on defense and re-signing/rewarding RB Martin. 2-4 is the only record worth noting. GM is clueless and its showing on defense every Sunday.

  22. Pickgrin Says:

Can we trade those 1200+ yards in for 3 wins instead? Didn’t think so…

  23. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Cam is going to destroy our secondary unless Grimes gets healthy. We are scratching the bottom of the barrel now.

  24. LakeLand Says:

This is the record that MATTERS

    2017 NFC South Standings

    New Orleans 4-2

    Carolina 4-3

    Atlanta 3-3

    Tampa Bay 2-4

  25. Bucs fan #7423 Says:

So I guess all you forgot when we sucked on offense and it was painfully boring to watch.
