Money!

What can Joe say. Cameron Brate continues to come up huuuuge!

He made the big fourth-quarter catches today, including a touchdown on the second-to-last drive and the big 26-yarder to the Giants’ 13 yard line to set up the winning field goal.

The Harvard man was money, and he’s rapidly becoming a clutch performer, in addition to a model of consistency.

Ironically, before the game on the Buccaneers Radio Network, general manager Jason Licht told Gene Deckerhoff, “I want Cam to be here for the rest of his career.” And that was after talking about Brate is one of the team’s elite work-ethic guys.

Mr. Licht, make it happen!

Brate is a restricted free agent after this season.

He’s going to get paid. Best hands on the team!

  2. Walter Says:

    We’re lucky to have him

  3. King C Says:

    Player of the game
Best catch of the day at the biggest possible moment

TE’s usually play their best against NYG
Both Brate and OJ played well

  4. Mike in LOL Says:

    Making Tampa Brate again!!

  5. Kstoges Says:

Adam humphries is a beast as well and guys how great did it feel watching americas QB perform in the most clutch moments obv could have played better in the second half but he came thru when it matters most and it was amazing to watch and guys half our freaking defence was out well not half but key players the D will get better Im stoked rn

  6. Blake_bucsfan Says:

2 TD’s between our 2 TE’s. Love it when a plan starts to come together.

Where’s the “Shoulda drafted Cook” crowd after today?

  7. Gencoimports Says:

I would say Brate made a good case for being the Chevrolet Player of the Game

  8. Casual Observer Says:

Brate is underrated. Sign him now!

  9. Kstoges Says:

right blake! I also hated how just after 2 games everyone’s like shoulda got cook and stuff I loved how OJ showed them what’s up our weapons this year is a damn beautiful sight to see

  10. BFFL Says:

Time to scrap this desean BS and use hump, brate and OJ more. Only use desean sparingly when D over committs to or other weapons

  11. Pete Mitchell Says:

    Best hands on the team?!?!

Dude dropped a touchdown to end the first half and dropped a huge slant pass on fourth down. I’m glad he caught that one in the two minute drill but c’mon man, if he catches those earlier balls we’re not even in that position.

  12. LakeLandBuc Says:

Good win against a 0-4 team. 7-9 is coming for the Bucs.

  13. LakeLandBuc Says:

It don’t matter who they draft, they’re still a 7-9 team at best.

  14. buddah Says:

That was a pro bowl catch. Best receiving tight end in the NFL not in New England. Clutch.

  15. DB55 Says:

    Shoulda drafted Cook.

  16. Saskbucs Says:

Whoa Pete, Collins made a play to break up that pass on 4th Down but when you see Collins covering Brate you don’t throw there! Guy is Giants best defensive player. Cam is awesome and I pray the Bucs keep him and OJ for the long haul.

BFFL, DeSean is very useful to this offense and if Jameis didn’t throw behind him multiple times, he would have had a respectable stat line. That slant in the first half may have gone to the house if Jameis put a well placed ball in there.

  17. webster Says:

I have been asking all day….where are the arm chair gms crying about cook? We have a two headed tight end monster while cook is out for the season. Guess what arm chair gms….the dougernaut comes back on thursday but lets waste a 1st round pick on a running back instead of drafting a tight end who is an elite blocker right now and one who will become a tremendous weapon in the passing game. Arm chair gms are too funny.

  18. Destinjohnny Says:

Plus what he can teach Alabama 80
    Is uber valuable

  19. Saskbucs Says:

Lakeland, why not enjoy this W and cease being so pessimistic! I certainly don’t expect a superbowl run with this Dline but if that side of the ball can get healthy… 10-6 is still attainable. As we have seen the last couple weeks, anyone can win on sunday. Arizona coming up sans DJ, Carolina without Olsen, the Jets.. who got Miami after a west coast trip and Jax after a London trip… many winnable games still on this schedule. Go Bucs

Hey Joes……….Go drink some! Quit writing will ya!

    Shoulda drafted Cook.
    ……….
In case you didn’t notice he is already out for the year. Yeah that would have been great for us.

  22. Make America Brate Again Says:

I have had this username since joining Joebucsfan over a year ago now. This is exactly why it will not be changing. America has a lot of questions right now in its leadership. We need to make America Brate Again!!!

  23. Buc1987 Says:

Pay Brate and start another kicking comp.

    Folk you effing blow too!

  24. Aristotle Says:

    Pay the Man!!!!

  25. SB Says:

Totally agree with you Brate!. Glad he is on my FF team. I took Bell over ME when I had the chance and I am not regretting it yet. A C note today!

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Eli Manning was 5-0 against the Bucs before tonight! That monkey is off our back!!

  27. DB55 Says:

    SB

You ain’t lying but still draft cook.

  28. SB Says:

DB, Hunt would have been the Much better choice but then we wouldn’t have Evans or Beckwith? Same with Cook. Hunt all day.

  29. Buc1987 Says:

Then if Hunt gets hurt next week….

  30. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Forget Brates’ catch. What about that throw? Clutch!

  31. JimBuc2 Says:

Alright ladies. Tell me that red-hot Jameis-DJax connection lights up? Still waiting… Glad we got OJ. Maybe DK starts to call some more two tight end, 12 formations. Stoked for our 19th pick, a real draft gem.

  32. SB Says:

Geez 87…….way to go to the Nth degree.

  33. SB Says:

Licht whiffed on his second round pick last yr. If he moved up for Cook and he was already out for the year fans would be calling for Licht not to be able to make a Second round pick next yr.

  34. LakeLandBuc Says:

See me in January 7-9 Bucs

  35. SB Says:

    Awesome Team spirit Lakeland.

  36. LakeLand Says:

SB, You know what, I’m dropping the Buc. Going forward, it’s just LakeLand. I no longer will carry the Buc.

    LakeLand

  37. Ocala Says:

I agree he needs to be signed to a long term extension at the end of the year not just the one year restricted offer.

  38. SteelStudBuc Says:

    Awww

  39. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Lakeland, awesome posts after a win. You’ve got team spirit. I’d hate to see you after a loss. Since you dropped the Buc, why don’t you drop on out of here, then? You can’t be THAT upset after a win. I’ll bet the Titans/Mariota fans would have taken our win today. Titans blown out like a Lovie squad and thier QB injured AGAIN! Sucks to be a Bucs fan, right?

  40. Blake_bucsfan Says:

    @LakeLand

You are just a hater plain and simple.

Who cares if you drop the buc, drop the LakeLand too while you’re at it and stop posting.

    No one needs your negativity.

  41. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

LOL at Pete! Dude you may not know this but those defensive players get paid a lot of money to make plays. That was hardly a “drop!” The defender made a nice play and knocked the ball loose. That was a good defensive play all the way and not a knock on Cam. So annoying to read posts from guys that are so clueless. Rewatch the game I guess so that maybe you can figure this out.

  42. Greg Says:

Both the guys passes a Brate missed were 90 mph fastballs from Jamies, although the 4th down play the defender made a nice play to help break it up. Jamies always seems to throw behind the receivers, it’s like he can’t lead them!

  43. Brendle Says:

    GMAC needs help

  44. FortMyersDave Says:

Man Lakeland is the biggest troll on the BB today, he’s unhappy Tampa won and had to change his prediction from 6-10 to 7-9… Man you simply say the same thing over and over again: Bucs, stink, Bucs stink, bla, bla, bla..

Heck,I’d rather read posts from Roy Buford bragging about how he and all the other club seat holders are selling their tickets to opposing fans but that he still “supports” this team though he hopes that RJS is full of Giant and Pat fans….. Joe lets just about anyone post here so these guys aren’t going anywhere but I do wish JBF had a mute option at times…..

  45. PRBucFan Says:

I remember when people here tried to tell me Brate was just ordinary and “average” lol. That he couldn’t become elite. Whelp it’s happening and don’t be surprised if the NFL’s leading TE in TDs last season becomes a probowler this year.
