Bucs Lead The League In Passing

October 23rd, 2017

The Bucs stink right now, but at least every aspect of the team isn’t failing.

Hey, it’s something on a depressing Monday. And no, Joe isn’t talking about leading the NFC South in defensive complainers.

Joe’s fingers are tired of typing about Tampa Bay’s many defensive ailments. (What edge rush?) It’s exhausting. So let’s jump to the passing game.

Your beloved Buccaneers lead the NFL in the following categories:

Passing attempts per game – 40.2
Passing yards per game – 312.3

The Bucs also are in the upper tier of the NFL when it comes to sacks allowed (10) and touchdowns (13). They’re even 11th in the NFL in completion percentage at 63.5 percent. (What Sapp and the glory days Bucs wouldn’t do for that kind of offense. Damn.)

Sure, stats rarely paint a crystal clear picture. But there’s quite a trend here, one that really blossomed yesterday against a very strong, real-deal Bills defense: the Bucs can sling the rock and spread the ball around the field against any NFL defense.

It’s as if the Bucs are about to become the 2014-2016 Saints. Those New Orleans teams scored massive points but finished 7-9 each season.

This summer, formerly winning head coach Dirk Koetter confidently and comfortably said on the Ira Kaufman Podcast that the Bucs could definitely throw for 5,000 yards this season but that would be no panacea.

“I mean, if we wanted to go out and throw for 5,000 yards, I’m confident we could throw for 5,000 yards, but I can’t guarantee you we’d win any more games,” Koetter said.

That take from Koetter at the time was a real eye-opener for Joe. Only one team threw for 5,000 yards last season and nobody did in 2014 or 2015.

That team? The Saints.

They also lead the league in coaches that have zero accountability on and off the field. Half of the D is out partying the night before the game and partying hard in Tampa all week long. Remind me again why they would draft a kid (Heargraves) in the first round that is from Tampa!?!?!?! Every GM in the NFL knows that this is a rule that you should never break. Although, this GM also moved up in last years draft to take a kicker when we needed help on the D-Line.

  2. FR Says:

Damn stats all the time, how about the W and L stats how about those stats.

  3. tmaxcon Says:

rankings are irrelevant if you are in the basement and annually watching the playoffs on the couch. rankings mean absolutely nothing almost as meaningless as pro bowls.

  4. Not there yet Says:

This is when stats lie especially when all that matters are wins and losses

Passing attempts per game – 40.2- Winston isn’t accurate enough so we shouldn’t be leading the league in this category

Passing yards per game – 312.3- actually we have no choice but to throw especially when your 2-4 getting blown out in the first half of games

Check the stats again I bet we’re last in the NFL in running and passing yards in first half of games

  5. ME13 Says:

Thanks for trying to stay positive Joe !! We need support right now not just being kicked when we down

  6. OneBucPerson Says:

I’d rather Jameis be the league’s greatest game manager with tons of wins than a record breaker whose great play can’t compensate for the poor play of his defensive teammates and push his team to the playoffs. (i.e. Drew Brees)

  7. JameisDungy Says:

Only team that flat out beat us were the Vikings.

    Jameis blew the Patriots game.

    Dirk blew the Cardinals game.

Mike Smith blew the Bills game.

Lets hope they all got it out of their system.

  8. Bucsfanman Says:

AND…it looks like we have a kicker that can KICK!
    Positivity abounds!!!

  9. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Been screaming the OL is garbage since licht passed on laremy tunsil and picked up vernon…….donovan smith is an average OT probably a RT and marpet is not a center, another classic licht move….licht has run this organization down to a few working parts, but a GREAT coach like a sean mcvay and what he has done in LA needs to come here….the bucs still squander and middle while the eagles and rams ascend to great heights

  10. TOM Says:

    Jameis lost the Patriot’s game??!

  11. Joe Says:

donovan smith is an average OT probably a RT

First, Donovan Smith told Joe to his face he cannot play right tackle. Explained in detail why. In short, NFL is not PlayStation and you can’t pick and plug players. Remember how the Bucs tried Demar Dotson at left tackle and it was a disaster? Second, in case you haven’t noticed, there is an offensive line crisis in the NFL. The Bucs have (at least) an average left tackle who — and this is a critical point — has never missed a snap in the NFL. Teams aren’t motivated to get rid of average players who always answer the bell, especially at a position where you can very easily blow up the position in an attempt to upgrade.

So anyone who was pining for BongMask to get drafted by the Bucs to be a left tackle, your cries fell and will fall on deaf ears just like Joe is seeing some suggest the Bucs need to draft a quarterback in the first round next spring.

Unless he destroys a knee or turns into a complete Jeremy Trueblood-like turnstile, the Bucs are not in a hurry to replace Donovan Smith.

  14. Lord Cornelius Says:

According to 813 and a bunch of other idiots Jameis is regressing though because of Koetter.

Yes 813 I’m not hiding. I also am not going to go to JBF with a boner of excitement immediately after a loss so I can engage in a circle jerk with all the other miserable people that post here.

Seriously how f*cking sad is that. You were SUPER excited to come here after that loss. Think about that and you probably need to re-evaluate your life and why you even watch football.

Newslfash 813 – you didn’t predict any of this. You didn’t predict the defense would regress into being terrible. No one did. The defense was top 5 in the league in points given up and most other categories the final 8 weeks of the season while facing mostly top 10-15 scoring offenses.

Why the f*ck would the same unit with the same coordinator come out like this? If you can link me to some prediction you had of this then cool – kudos. Otherwise you’re just a b1tch reactionary troll.

Right now the defense is killing this season. There is no hope in playoffs or even a good season if this is the product we’re going to see. Kudos to anyone that predicted Mike Smith returning with the same unit that played so well over the final 8 weeks of 2017; with the same if not better returning talent; would regress so much.

I didn’t see ONE post predicting that in the off season by anyone. So F*ck ANYONE who says they saw this coming or want to talk sh1t as if they knew. Seriously go F*ck yourself. You suck at life.

  15. Joe Says:

  17. BucFanFromOH Says:

You’re right. How about having a kicker that actually makes his kicks! That was a pleasant surprise. Trying to stay positive this morning…

    trying…

  19. Lamarcus Says:

Qb and coach always get the blame from every team when struggling. So when u guys come up with a excuse that doesn’t involve the coach or qb (cuz this clearly not the case) then we can forward of rightING this ship

  20. Hodad Says:

Losing head coach Koetter, hopefully soon to be fired head coach Koetter’s teams have been piling up the passing yards in garbage time. Tell it like it is Joe. Losing head coach Koetter is an offensive genius when the game is out of control, and the opposing defenses are in prevent with their back ups. Losing head coach Koetter has not won a game that mattered let alone a title, or playoff berth of any kind. Losing head coach Koetter has to win two in a row to get back to .500 coach Koetter.

  21. Bucsfanman Says:

@Lord C- NOBODY could’ve predicted THIS meltdown on defense. Heck, I would’ve thought we’d be slightly improved with the additions. It’s a head-scratcher!

@BucFanFromOH- No more kicker woes! Strike that ONE off the list!!! 🙂

  22. Big Stinky Says:

How many games has Jameis won when he has thrown over 40 times? You act like those stats are a good thing Joe. I wish we ONLY threw the ball 20-25 times and ran the ball more. We need a RB like Blount to wear defenses down and the yards will come in the 3rd and 4th quarter. We abandon the run EVERY game like we are too far behind to keep running it. The ONLY thing that is going to make this defense any better is to bring in a NEW defensive coordinator. I could be wrong, the players are pretty bad too. We’re NOT going to win many games though throwing OVER 40 times. No more excuses! Playoffs or Bust! Go BUCS!

Exactly. So for anyone in here b1tching I would love to see a link to them predicting the defense would be so bad. Otherwise just admit you like to go online and cry and b1tch with strangers because it gets you off. Just admit that’s your thing. It’s pretty obvious because there is no other logic to living like that.

  24. NewTampaChris Says:

Unfortunately, the only stat I care about is “2-4.” The defense is atrocious. We need more points in the first half to at least take teams out of their run game.

  25. Lamarcus Says:

    Big stinky

Joe wasn’t referencin his stats and put a positive spin. I took Joe info as said that we are the Saints. All air raid cuz if defense letdowns spotting points u can’t run yhe ball

  26. ClodHopper Says:

I’ve been hard on Jameis last week but he deserves praise today. I think he had his best game as a Buc yesterday. And not for nothing but I think Dirk also called his best game as Buc yesterday.

That TD pass to Evans was just like Rothleaburgers TD pass to Santonio Holmes in the Super Bowl to best the Cardinals. I said then that was an impossibly accurate pass and it was yesterday too. Magnificent!!

Defense deserves every ounce of blame for this loss.

  27. Wewantgruden Says:

Same old Bucs fan base. Tricked into thinking next year might be promising when they win a few games at the end of the year when playoff teams are resting players or teams even worse than the Bucs (hard to believe) are starting some of their younger players in hope of developing them. How can you not see the yearly cycle. Fire the GM and defensive coordinator NOW. Keep DK as the offensive coordinator and bring in Gruden to GM and head coach. DK night just learn something.

  28. webster Says:

Jameis blew the patriots game? Did the kicker not miss 3 field goals? Some of you are truly clueless.

  29. Bucsfanman Says:

@BigStinky- That’s my contention as well. Over 40 attempts and we’re toast. Big Ben threw the ball 24 times as the Steelers thumped Cincy. Our play-calling is STILL too predictable. Get Martin a legit FB and commit to running the football. I guarantee the passing game will open up.
We are waaaay too pass happy! I’d be a lot more comfortable with a 3,000 yd Jameis, a 1,000 yd HB and MORE WINS than 4,000+ yds passing!
I put a lot of this on coaching. Help the youngster out. GET A RUN-GAME!!!

  30. Wewantgruden Says:

LOL: The early line on the Buccaneers/Panthers game is -2 1/2 Buccaneers.

  31. Wewantgruden Says:

LOL: The early line on the Buccaneers/Panthers game is -2 1/2 Buccaneers.

And @webster: JW needs to score touchdowns and not settle on a soccer player to kick field goals to win/lose games.

  32. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

    @WeWantgruden

Oh you mean like how Tom Brady settled on a soccer player that won him his 1st 2 rings?

Kickers are paid to maid field goals, Field goal drives are scoring drives too.

  33. LakeLand Says:

When you lead the league in passing

    That’s a bad stat

    Drew Brees

  34. tmaxcon Says:

everyone should have predicted this meltdown…. that is what gmc led defenses have been doing for 8 years melting down and quitting when it matters most. wake up fools it’s so very clear.

  35. LakeLand Says:

Russell Wilson, 2486 pass attempts in 86 games

    60-25-1 record

    2 Super Bowl appearances

    Has never missed the playoffs

  36. webster Says:

    @ wewantgruden

When you can show me a qb that scores all touchdowns and no field goals, I will agree with that clueless notion. Btw…for all you Mariota lovers coming out of the woods, Tennessee just won a game 12-9 (for those who can not add, that is 4 field goals). A win is a win and missing 3 field goals do not help the buc’s cause. You cant score a touchdown everytime. I thought this was common knowledge but I guess not on a buc fan site.

  37. webster Says:

    @ lakeland

Wilson has a defense. Unfortunately the bucs do not have the type of defense that can afford the offense that security. Jacksonville has won 2 games this year without bortles throwing for over 100 yards. The bears just beat carolina with 7 pass attempts. Those defenses made that possible. And some of you are full of it because when dungy was here, you moaned about not throwing the ball more. Now you want the bucs to put the lambo in the garage? The buc ran the ball 25 times. How many times should they run when the defense is not stopping anyone? As joe has been saying, the defense has to play better.

  38. 813bucboi Says:

LC….well well well….ITS ABOUT TIME YOU AND YOUR BOOTY PARTNER @REALIST COME OUT OF HIDING!!!!!

AND YET YOUR WRONG AS USUAL!!!!!

if I remember correctly, it was myself, mikejohnson and bighog who said smitty and dirk were bad hires….

you @realist and others claimed that this team got better over night with lovie walking out the door….but first they had to coach the lovie out of players….then they needed time to gel….now HK is to blame…BS…DIRK has a mess on his hands!!!!

the only thing I predicted is that if dirk doesn’t win 10games and gets us to the playoffs he will be on the hot seat and should get fired!!!…so far, it aint looking good for your coach!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  39. Mike Johnson Says:

ALL…thar matter is..WINNING. See Jameis throw for 500..See Jameis throw beautiful spirals..See..Out bucs lose!! Sick and tired of it!

  40. buddy Says:

And still the only stats that matter are…..Wins and Loss. Hows that label of “winning coach” Koetter working for you now JOE???? This guy is in WAYYYYY over his head, needs to go back to being a Asst where is he was good at it.

  41. Tony from Los Angeles Says:

    813
It doesn’t make your words smarter when you use a bunch of exclamation points.

    To the above posters:
Jameis is not regressing at all. He is markedly improved in almost every area this season.

To those saying fire Koetter. Yes – that’s a very wise sentiment. Teams that keep replacing their coaches every two years have proven to the the most successful franchises and the ones that always bring home the rings. Really smart thinking!!

    So just so I’m clear:

    We get rid of Jameis
    Cut McCoy
    Fire all the coaches
    Hire another random coach
And then we’ll be great again!!
    Right??

Get a grip guys. Stability brings results. This is the first half of year 2 under Koetter. I’m glad none of you are even near a decision maker for the Bucs.

  42. Lord Cornelius Says:

“the only thing I predicted is that if dirk doesn’t win 10games and gets us to the playoffs he will be on the hot seat and should get fired!!!”

Wow what a bold prediction lmfao. “If the coach doesn’t do well then he’ll probably be on the hot seat” NO sh1t sherlock.

You don’t have any balls dude or any actual conviction with any of your predictions or analysis. You hated Dirk/Smitty and were SUPER happy when we were losing last year early.. similar to this year. But when we had success last year and you changed your tune; didn’t own up to being completely wrong about your 2016 predictions; and now you’re changing your tune again as if you’ve been consistently hating on this staff since they were hired. Not the case dude – you weren’t hating on them at all when we were doing well / winning. You change your tune based on what happens. You’re a reactionary troll. Everyone here can see it.

And wtf do you think I’m hiding from? Sorry dude but I spend my Sundays enjoying football and life with my family and not a freaking message board. I come here sometimes during work – you could tell that if you saw when I typically post. I don’t sit on my computer on Sunday ready to masturbate to every Bucs loss like you. Go F*ck yourself.

  43. LakeLand Says:

I have always said that it takes a COMPLETE team to win. Yeah Russell Wilson has a defense. But also he don’t put pressure on the defense with dumb turnovers. They don’t make stupid penalties, nor do they make many mistakes. You have to click on all cylinders to win in the NFL. Russell Wilson is a GAME MANAGER, and that’s what it takes to win in the NFL. 48 INT in 86 games, 99.3 career passing rating, 2853 yards rushing, 14 TDS. You actually don’t have to throw the ball 40 times to WIN in the NFL. There’s a million other ways to win.

  44. webster Says:

    @ lakeland

When your defense is poor, you do have to throw a lot. Why do you think brees threw so much? Because his defense stunk the past 4 years. Come on guys, its not that hard to understand. Btw..jameis has only had 2 games this year with turnovers. Are we now a fan base that expects no turnovers on offense? The defense is horrible.

  45. LakeLand Says:

I said that the Bucs should have fired Jason Licht when they fired Lovie. People here call me crazy and clueless. But now, all of a sudden, the Bucs are poor on defense. People are calling for Mike Smith job. People are complaining about the lack of a pass rush. People are whining about the lack of talent on the team. People are crying about the poor play of the high draft picks. Yet they still believe in Jason Licht. this is a joke, it’s laughable.

    In “Licht” we trust

    Clueless Buc Fans

THE PATRIOTS SHOULD TRADE TON BRADY FOR MITCH TRUBISKY NOW IF THEY EVER WANT TO WIN ANOTHER SUPER BOWL !!!!

BEN ROETHLISBERGER SUCKS. HE COULDN’T EVEN BEAT BLAKE BORTLES THIS YEAR!

What is frustrating is the Pats and Bills games were ours for the taking… and we just couldn’t do anything. Pathetic.

Also how did our defense play better against the Pats than against the Cards and Bills? It makes zero sense… especially considering we got LVD and Kwon back….

  49. 813bucboi Says:

    @tony….I use !!!! to mock @realist!!!!!

@LC….ive been critic of this staff from the jump….the only thing I did was give credit when credit is due….during our 5game streak I gave the players, dirk and smitty credit…..I never changed my tune…Ive always thought dirk was in over is head and smitty played a soft defense…that is what got him canned in ATL…..

you and @realist maintained that dirk has all the time in the world to get this team to the playoffs….NEWSFLASH!!!!…HE DOESNT!!!!….with us winning 9games last year many expected playoffs this year….not regression!!!!….

no one is a troll….I just hate to see my favorite team ruined by incompetent coaches….just like when you hated when lovie was here…..

you are a cowart that loves to post after a victory but hides after a lost when the men you say are clear upgrades cant figure out how to win….with more talent than morris, schaino, and lovie ever had!!!!…..im a diehard fan so everyday is a BUCS DAY ALL DAY!!!!….I know your butt hurt(and who cares!!!)…go screw you booty partner @realist!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

  50. Jeagan1999 Says:

I have to disagree with Coach Koetter….respectfully. I think the Bucs defense is SO BAD that the only way we are going to win games this season is to throw the ball 40 times a game and score 35 points+! Otherwise, just continue to loose games the way we are now.

  51. LakeLand Says:

Everyone is trashing GMC, VH3, Mike Smith, Dirk Koetter, Jameis Winston, Bucs defense etc. But 90% of the posters on this site are giving Jason Licht a free pass. The reality is, the Bucs are 19-35 since Jason Licht has been GM. He’s terrible at drafting. He sucks at signing Free Agents. He continue to keep the same trash on the team. 100% of the Bucs failure should fall on Jason Licht. He’s responsible for getting talent on this team. The run game is poor, because he neglected it during the draft and free agency. The defense is poor because he refuse to add a decent Edge Rusher during the draft and free agency. He refused to draft a CB or add one during free agency ( except for another ex-Falcon garbage player). He had the power to hire Sean McDermott as HC. So many good RBs he passed over in the draft, knowing that Bucs needed a running game. I can go on and on about his stupid decisions. But it would takes hours to type all of it.

  52. sorryitriggeredyou Says:

I know everyone is bumming but got to take some positives away from yesterday’s game. They are some HUGE positives. That performance by KOETTER was remarkable. He fixed his bonehead playcalling when close to the red zone. It showed that he’s no longer forcing JW, he actually worked a game plan to JW’s strengths. The 2nd to last TD drive was masterfully called. Pitch to Dougie then 2 play actions. JW responded and played one heck of a game. I was calling for JW to ignore Koetter at points and he did just that. Case in point Koetter likes to go empty backfield around the opponents 30ish yard line. The first drive that resulted in a sack fumble, so the next drive Koetter calls that again JW audibled and moved Sims over to block. I know that’s not a big deal to some but that’s an awesome audible by JW to protect the ball and the savvy to still make it a play I think that play was the 10 yard to Brate on 3rd and long. The young man is getting so much better. Once that D gets straighened out, this is a playoff team no doubt!

  53. LongSeason Says:

If partying is a problem for all or part of the team, I as a general manager or coach would lock them down. No partying. None. As a matter of fact, there would be no junk food, no alcohol, no illicit drugs, no performance enhancing drugs or women allowed (wives and steady girl friends allowed). They need to dry out and walk straight. Otherwise I identify the ring leaders and start looking for their replacements now.

  54. Pickgrin Says:

    312.3 X 16 games = 4996.8 yards

Coach was right. Relying too much on the passing game – even if its working pretty well – does not = wins.

Defense has not played well enough to win in 3 of our 4 losses.

  55. Lord Cornelius Says:

    “but hides after a lost”

Yet here I am the day after a loss. Spending time with my family on the weekend isn’t something I consider as “hiding from 813” you freaking weirdo.

Do you realize how f*cking bat sh1t insane you sound lol? Do you realize how you come off when you get super excited after our team loses to come on here and gloat? Do you realize how pathetic that is? Spin it how you want but it’s so obvious that’s what is happening.

Everyone here knows your schtick. It’s tiresome and you’re an unreasonable human being that can’t even have a regular conversation or make a logical point. You invent things I say to argue against because you can’t actually argue with the real things I say (me supposedly saying “Dirk has all the time in the world” – never said that at all lol.)

Obviously if we had a 4-6 win type season then something went bad and we can re-evaluate. Right now Mike Smith is failing and if it doesn’t change he’ll have to go; but I’m not jumping ship on Dirk right now like you have been wanting to do since he was hired.

You 100% come off as someone who WANTS the team to fail JUST so that Koetter is fired. I at least supported Lovie initially until he proved he doesn’t know sh1t about fielding a good defense in the current day NFL. I argue’d with Realist about Lovie needing another year. They ended his first year playing decent defense although against a WAY easier schedule than what we had last year. But it was obvious Lovie failed at what he was supposed to be good at – defense. Koetter wasn’t hired to fix the defense.

You from day 1 rooted for failure to justify some weird jaded anger you had about Lovie being ousted for him.

Koetter was hired because of his offensive background and investment in Jameis. So far Jameis is having his best year as a pro and the offense just put on a show against a top 3 defense in the league. So no I am not going to call for firing Koetter right now. Spare me your “eye test” “quit on the team” subjective nonsensical bullsh1t too. Those aren’t actual arguments that anyone can debate; but that’s the only type of sh1t you can spew.

from day1 you and @realist have been claiming this staff is light years better than the previous staff…and you have been flat out wrong!!!….simple as that!!!

Im a season ticket holder(sect.140 row s seat 1 and 2) so im all in with the bucs…always have been always will be….the only thing that hurts worse than a bucs lost is watching them being coached by people are clueless….

face it…you and at @realist have no ammo when the bucs lose because after every victory you brag about how great these coaches are and how they are a breathe of fresh air….when we lose, you find every excuse under the sun to defend this staff instead of holding them accountable….

well the “REAL FANS” have had enough!!!…no more excuses!!!!…he has his coaches, his QB and talented players…..get us to the playoffs or go fishing with lovie!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

The stats are nice but if you break them down by first half/second half, what you find is the offense doesn’t do much until they’re down by 2 to 3 scores, then they come to life – and that’s due to Dirk’s generally horrendous play calling (although in fairness he did have an excellent second half yesterday on offense).

Truth is Dirk isn’t head coaching material and Mike Smith shouldn’t be a DC in 2017. Just fix the issue… make Mike Smith HC, move Dirk back to just being the OC and promote someone within the defense to run it that will do more than sit in a soft zone with the corners 30 yards off the line of scrimmage and wonder why the other teams offense just moves the ball at will.

Yeah yeah, I know it won’t happen, teams NEVER do anything new, you have to pretend not to notice Dirk is in over his head and you can’t possibility demote him because it will hurt his pride. Well they do that to players all the time and you do what is best for the team. What is best for the team is to get Dirk back to doing what he does really well, and that is running the offense from the booth. Mike Smith also is a very good head coach. It seems like a match to me – a change you can make in season that doesn’t tank your season.

If you put 27 on a D like the Bills, then you should win 100% of the time – this is not on Jameis or the O at all…

We played 1 drive with fire – the rest of the game, SOS, can’t or won’t get off a block, can’t make an open field tackle, DL making a tackle 6 yds downfield and chest bumping when they get up, just disgusting to watch…the MLB missed more tackles than he made FOR SURE…call it rust I suppose…Grimes getting burned over and over against second rate receivers…safeties that can’t take an angle or make a tackle, rotate them all day, it doesn’t matter, they all look lost and confused

Ward – STFU – you have burned 3 times at least since you got here – we all see why the Horsies cut your butt….time to retire former ProBowler…

If not for LVD, we lose by 20

VHIII, celebrating after every dropped pass or missed throw…dude you made 1 play all day but at least you get to mug for the camera against the second worst O in the league…you still are a bad NFL player… quit celebrating nothing jackwad…

This season is toast, NO WAY this D comes around…

Time to spend all 7 picks on D, plain and simple – 3 DL and 3 DB, throw in a LB for good measure…

    6-10 here we come

Seen the reverse of this in the past. Great defensive coach Tony Dungee who couldn’t win. Fired. Replaced by an offense of coach Jon Gruden and won Super Bowl

Now offense of coach who can’t win. When will he be replaced by a defensive coach so we can win another Super Bowl?

@Webster is 100% right. This defense is a joke right now. They are the sole reason we have lost the last two games.

@Jameisdungy The kicker lost us the Patriots games btw. Not sure if you watched the same game I did if you think that game was on Jamies.

    @wewantgurden
How do you know that the defense is out partying…? Lol. The stuff most of you come up with, truly amusing.
