Rudy The Quarterback!

September 23rd, 2017

QB in a pinch.

Every team has a quarterback in mind if disaster befalls it.

And the Bucs have a plan in place if America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, cannot go, and if backup Ryan Fitzpatrick gets hurt.

The emergency quarterback is Rudy, also known as Adam Humphries.

“Adam Humphries would be our number three,” winning head coach Dirk Koetter said. “He was a high school quarterback. Yeah, he would be our number three. We work on it on Saturdays, so he would be our three.”

This shows folks Koetter’s level of detail. Most coaches wouldn’t worry about an emergency quarterback. Koetter has his working out every Saturday.

In 2013 and 2014, wide receiver Russell Shepard was the Bucs’ emergency “No. 3” quarterback. The past two seasons, the Bucs had a real quarterback, Ryan Griffin, as their No. 3. But he’s out for this season with a bad shoulder.

Let’s not even THINK about that PLEASE!!!

Makes ya wonder if we might see Rudy throw deep to DJax or ME13 off of a fake end-around play sometime this season.

Emergency quarterback / obligatory skill-position white guy

  4. Trey Says:

Brion what does Adam Humphries race/color have ANYTHING to do with this?

Pretty sure Griffin could come back at mid season if the Bucs needed him to. I believe that was the reason for having him on the 53 man roster for 24 hours prior to sending him to IR. So that his designation could be with an option to return.

Please double check the facts on this Joe – it could actually become pretty important if god forbid anything were to happen to Winston.

Trey, some people will turn every topic into a race issue. If the Bucs wanted a white QB, Winston wouldn’t be here. I think that takes care of that.

There is a very successful business model called “New England Patriots” that might enlightening to you folks. Several other football franchises have followed suit. I’m only implying we are one of them.

Isn’t sports supposed to be a refuge from politics?

Warren Sapp was the backup punter for the Bucs – in high school he averaged 43.5 yards per punt.
