Mr. Beasting Is PO’ed

September 17th, 2017

Wanted a goose egg.

A Bucs type told Joe last year there was something with Robert Ayers the Bucs never detected when they signed the free agent defensive end.

“He’s got a little Sapp in him,” the Bucs type told Joe. It was meant as a compliment.

And today, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, shared a story that sort of demonstrates that.

Joe likes to call Ayers “Mr. Beasting” because Ayers loves to use the word “beasting” as in playing good, hard-nosed football. And apparently, Mr. Beasting didn’t feel like the Bucs defense was beasting enough, even though they held the vaunted Bears rushing attack to a grand total of 20 yards. That’s insane.

But it wasn’t enough for Ayers. Jameis detailed that in the shower after the game, Ayers was one PO’ed mofo because the Bucs let a shutout slip through their fingers.

“We have to stomp on their throats!”Jameis said Ayers bellowed.

The Bucs turned in one of their best defensive performances in years. Add to that it was the first game of the season after a long, storm-induced layoff, and it was all the more impressive.

But not good enough for Ayers.

Beasting!

One of the most refreshing statements made in years by a buc. The new bucs give us hope

  2. tino Says:

Remember when Joe thought Ayers invented the word “beasting”?

  5. BuccoDav Says:

  6. R.O. Says:

I thought it was going to be because he didn’t start the game. NS57 did.

he’s a “naturally pissed off person” I get that–perfect attitude for football

  8. DallasBuc Says:

    Define “Bucs type”?

  9. Baz Says:

    @Tino
Yes!!! Then he argued with me because I said I’d heard that word for years and have even used it, and he replied I couldn’t have made it up and no one would have copied me. What??? Lol

  10. DallasBuc Says:

How did Mr Yeasting play today? I don’t recall him wrecking the yard like nearly the rest of the roster did.

Now we get ticked off for not having shutdowns…not too long ago we were hoping not to get shutdown! What a difference two years make!!!

Mr. Ayers is saving the throat punching for the Vikings..Just wait!

  12. Joe Says:

    Define “Bucs type”?

Someone employed by the Bucs with knowledge of the situation.

  13. unbelievable Says:

Improve the pass rush consistently and you could have held them to zero, Mr. Beasting.

  14. NOSBOS Says:

What difference two years make indeed.

    His attitude is commendable.
I wish we had Ayers here, during his prime.

But in the locker rooms I’ve been in, the voices players pay attention to, are the voices of players who produce on the field.

    McCoy,David,Alexander,Grimes.
    And today, Gholsten and Spence.

Everything else is politely heard noise

  16. Capt.Tim Says:

Oh, and Kendall Beckwith! He had the brighest first game any Defensive Rookie has had in a loooong time

  17. Rich's Picks Says:

Do statistics lie? Neither Mr. Beast nor Mr. Swaggy got past zero in tackles, assists or sacks. Didn’t hear either name mentioned on TV coverage either. Not good.

  18. mike10 Says:

I love his mentality. Much needed on the DLine.

Now, any reports of where Mr. Chris Baker disappeared to?

  19. TampaTown Says:

Wait…Joe were you interviewing Jameis while he was in the shower? 😂

  20. Capt.Tim Says:

So tired of explaining basic football here.
Why dont you guys read a book or something

DTs- especially NTs, isnt to get tackles.
Its to hold the middle- forcing RBs and QBs to the edges- where DEs( well, not us) and Lbers wait to feed on them.

They have two great RBs, and had 20 yards rushing??
And you dont know our starting NT played well????
Thats the most clueless thing Ive read here in . . Well, Minutes
