Get Healthy, Demar

December 18th, 2016
Absence glaring.

Absence glaring.

Congratulations Gosder Cherilus, you have for the second week in a row won first-place prize for best impersonation of a fire hydrant.

Cowboys defensive linemen ran past Cherilus as if he was a fire hydrant and he got worked over so badly by defensive end David Irving, that Irving could have urinated on Cherilus and still got to America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

This is the second week in a row that Cherilus was ragdolled time and again.

Cherilus is playing because starting right tackle Demar Dotson is in concussion protocol. There is no way of guessing or predicting when Dotson will be ready. He will play when he is cleared, not sooner.

The way the Bucs offense melted down in the fourth quarter largely do to the swinging saloon doors that Cherilus proved to be, well, Joe suspects that the playoff chances of the Bucs may very well come down to Dotson’s health.

We need to pick up someone tomorrow!

    TOMORROW

  3. Juju Says:

    Cherilus is horrible

  4. Lee Cohen Says:

    Charley Hannah is available.

  5. WeAreLost Says:

Cut him get it done! We did lose by only 6 so that is pretty awesome I guess.

  6. cometowin2 Says:

Golfers is the main reason we lost. RT is now a need over safety and after WR.

  7. ImJustHereForJameisNews Says:

At which point in the game do you just insert Gatorade kooler at RT spot?

  8. Warthog Says:

    Cherilus blew it.

    Simple as that.

Winnable game. Winston had the ball twice in position to go down and win it.

Only reason he didn’t is Cherilus.

  9. Warthog Says:

    Cut #Cherilooser

  10. cometowin2 Says:

    Gosder.

  11. Artemis Rand Says:

I haven’t seen on OL get beat that bad since Jason Odom…

  12. Solinor Says:

You can’t tell me one if our developmental guys would have been worse than what we saw tonight. Cherilus single handedly lost us the game at the end there. It was so obvious they benched him the last drive.

  13. mike10 Says:

Bad news: Dotson has been having a horrible year too. Someone call the Red Velvet Inn

  14. Rojas Says:

We need to find a new RT this offseason asap. Dotson is better than Cherilus but Dot is always costing us with holds.

  15. Architek Says:

Serious issues on the OL with average Tackles (at best) and terrible depth. Future is bright though.

  16. mike10 Says:

Easy Warthog, don’t forget about Evans streaking down the L side alone… overthrown

  17. dee Says:

Yea he got beat so bad #95 hurt us tonite

  18. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

And Joe keeps bringing up Martins running problems when the line is clearly the problem!

  19. DB55 Says:

    Meh. #cher

  20. tdtb2015 Says:

The right tackle was not the only problem. Winston was offf today. The td should have been an int. JW failed in the big stage tonight. We were close though. Our team is definitely solid.

    Go Bucs!!!

  21. Trubucfan22 Says:

Joe, your precious o line lost this game. Stop giving them any praise. An o line is only as good as it’s weakest link. Gosder single handedly lost this game for us.

  22. Warthog Says:

@Mike10 yeah Winston shoulda had that one, but occasional overthrows I can live with.

I cannot live with an RT who straight up soils his pants with the game on the line, leading to his QB taking unnecessary hits.

  23. Blake_bucsfan Says:

I pin this loss squarely on #78. I don’t even wanna type his stupid friggin name anymore. But this man got dominated by a practice squad guy on like 10 consecutive plays.

On second thought. Dirk takes a tremendous amount of blame as well because he should have left a tight end over there to chip that kid the first time The walking traffic cone got put on his rear end. I was literally begging for it, and it didn’t happen. Also would’ve kept trying to go to Brate and Humphries, it seemed to me like each of them disappeared after they scored. So that was lame.

Regardless, apart from a few duds on the o-line, and way too many open guys in our secondary- I’m proud of our team, they played hard and were in it right until the end, and I’m confident they will grow from this game.

  24. Trubucfan22 Says:

I can’t blame winston for a bad throw there. He was getting harrassed and had happy feet. He was juiced up to finally get a chance, and just missed evans. The first half winston was bad on his own. But that 4th quarter is all on the o line. They blew it.

  25. Captain Big Stick Says:

Jameis missed a lot of throws tonight.. not his best game for sure.. still, we played em tough and I will take that!

  26. mike10 Says:

Warthog – He’s a backup that shouldn’t have been in the game after last week. And “occasional overthrows” is a strong understatement. They caused turnovers and prevented TDs. 10 points off those turnovers, we lost by 6.

U gotta get more outta your Franchise QB, which is why Jameis is more concerning to me tonight.

  27. Blake_bucsfan Says:

@ mike10 The young man needs more protection, and more time. If not for #78 getting absolutely beasted, we probably win this game.

I’m REALLY hoping that Licht realizes that he has to target the best Centers and Right tackles in the Draft.

  28. NJBucsFan Says:

Breaking News…Gosder Cherilus signed an endorsement deal with Sun Pass to rename their lanes the Gosder Sun Pass lane

  29. SOEbuc Says:

My great grandmother’s cat could run over Cherilus. Collinsworth, being the idiot that he is, was trying to give props to Irving being so good getting to the QB when it was really Cherilus not being any good getting knocked on his ass all night.

  30. PanthersSuck! Says:

    Leave him in Dallas

  31. BuccaneEric75 Says:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy just get destroyed like that, play after play. He he’d no chance. When Irving signs his new deal in the offseason, I hope he hooks a brother up.

  32. duthsty rhothdes Says:

Laremy Tunsil was top 3 in draft and bucs just let him pass by, that is a huge licht fail

  33. unbelievable Says:

Joe I thought it was all martins fault and we have a fantastic o-line?

I’m confused because that’s what you’ve been telling us for weeks.

  34. mike10 Says:

    Blake, I agree.

However, I saw a rookie make better throws, under a lot of pressure and miss THREE passes all night. I’m sorry buddy but I need more out of Winston.

  35. DallasBuc Says:

Classic ‘careful what you wish for’ with Gos after Dot

  36. Tramu Murse Says:

I love you all, but 75% of you are clueless. Martin is done, get out. GOSEDER CHERRY=LESS LOST THAT GAME, “simple as that”.

Jameis is making things happen with no running game, 1.5 WRs and a decent TE and THATS IT! He’s got nothing!
Dallas O line is huge and dominant. we were half a second late getting to Dak. They ran very well on us. That is all. we lost. now we have to win out. Gosder and Doug were playing mannequin challenge all night.

  37. kent kleist Says:

not a fan of Godser but did ANYONE block last night?
