VIDEO: Doug Martin At Practice

Joe’s got video of Doug Martin at practice this afternoon at the sunny practice fields of One Buc Palace.
And Martin was talking in the locker room today.
So what was Martin saying? He’s optimistic about playing Sunday. That was the summary from JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman, Tampa Bay’s only Hall of Fame voter.
Joe saw Martin running and cutting and doing all kinds of fancy stuff during the 30-minute window of underwear football practice open to media. But Joe’s in believe-it-when-Joe-sees it mode.
Clinton McDonald has been practicing a lot on a bad hammy, too, but has been missing games.

Single handily the biggest injury and reason why we can’t hang… No threat of a run game equals NO GAME PLAN GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN (key word here) CONSISTENTLY.

Were 3&5 right now we need to go 6$2 these last 8 games . If Doug can stay healthy it will make it a lot easier . Jaboo , Man Child (mike evans) Josh Hunt , Cam , and Hump this offense will look completely different . Go Bucs

martin is unreliable. he will come back then get hurt again simple as that. it’s the proven pattern of his career once he gets hurt he’s never right again. bad signing should have let him walk

if doug does play I don’t expect much out of him….players are in mid season form…they’re ripping, pulling and poking at the ball…tackling better than they did in week2….I expect him to have a snap count since he’s had a set back and has taken so long to heal but who knows….I expected dirk and smitty to have better results so it is what it is….DIRK=JIM TOMSULA…GO BUCS!!!!

Looking at our division. I see atl,car,and no trending up
Look how well they play this week against philly, denver and kc
Even Saints only need a few more pieces and they will start dominating like their superbowl run
Its too late for car and the saints this year, but i think these 3 is going start killin it starting next year in the nfc…
We have the worst luck. We will be guranteened the toughest schedule every year forth because we play them 2 times every year

common thread in our 3 wins is a run threat. hard to overstate how much that helps our passing game, especially when we are as depth-starved as we are in that department

not sure i’m worried about the panthers long term. aside from the fact that they’ve had the bucs’ number since realignment and that Cam Newton is going to be there a while, i think they have peaked and are on their way into that down-cycle New Orleans found itself in as cap challenges forced them to break up their roster a little. Their OL isn’t great, defense is badly missing Norman, and pretty much since Cam arrived their best RB has been their QB.
