Wow! You guys literally call out everyone on the team except for the jolly pink giant. Is he truly untouchable especially when you’re talking about lack of effort and pass rush? That’s amazing to me blame rookies and guys leading the league in touchdowns for the losses but crickets when it comes to the 1tackle per game, no pressure, can’t stop the run, always offsides DT. Fair enough I guess.

How many tackles does a good DT get per game in a 4-3 defense. Would love to hear the answer to that.-Joe

McCoy looks to be somewhere around 6th or 7th in the league for DTs playing in a 4-3 system this year. (just looking at solo tackles)
However, the top 3 guys all have 20+ solo tackles. The next few guys only have 15, McCoy is next with 13…
Meh. This team needs a lot of help on the d-line. How long we been saying the same ish?

The podcast continues to be a quality addition to JBF…nice work fellas. I’m afraid we are stuck with Mike Smith. I wasn’t a huge fan of him while he was in ATL ( or that shat eating grin of his )..but was hoping for the best. Perhaps there could one day be the triumphant return of PJ Fleck to the Bucs organization in a head coaching capacity. I’m already concerned that Koetter is mediocre at best. It takes a rare breed to be an excellent head coach in the NFL.

One last thing about LVD. He’s still a beast!
Mike Smith admitted today that he has him playing a different role other than attacking the ball carrier like a scud missle. I noticed on film he is taking on more blocks to clear the MLB to make the play.
But I don’t have to tell you guys that cuz you’re all professionals and I’m sure that was blatantly obvious to you.

So you want to run off a guy who averages a half-tackle less than arguably the best tackle in the NFL??? Really???

Don’t know of too many guys labeled a “beast” who drop goose eggs in a full game at linebacker in a defense set up for him to make plays, but OK.
In Joe’s eyes, that’s taking a day off.

More like 1.85, your math is terrible. And the conversation isn’t about running him off it’s about holding him as accountable as LVD, Ayer, VH3 and everyone else you mentioned.

I think after The Buc Fans and Mngt hav had their fill of mediocrity from Koetter and Smith (2 seasons full), They will actually do a complete heart felt professional search for a Coach. And I do think he will be a great one. We’ve been stiriing in this Hope/wish/pray category for 2 long now. This franchise is not only laughable, its Pityful. If the Bucs don’t put together a 5 to 8 hundred team in a 1yr or 2? People are not gonna care about the Glazers moving the Bucs elsewhere. They’ll actually assist with a shovel!!
