Evans Busts 1,000-Yard Plateau
November 27th, 2016Mike Evans already has Pro Bowl stats — with five games left to play.
Against the stud Seahawks today, Evans racked up 104 yards on eight catches and two touchdowns, and Richard Sherman was running around looking for Kleenex.
Through 11 games, Evans has 73 catches, 1,020 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Un-freakin-real!
Evans is cruising toward franchise records in all three categories.
You really can put Evans in the elite-receiver conversation. And now the nation knows it with this performance against mighty Seattle.
It’s three 1,000-yard seasons for Evans in his first three campaigns. The guy is 23 years old.
Just imagine what happens next year when the Bucs put a legitimate receiving threat on the opposite side of the field.

Wow, what a great game. I am speechless!

Evans was totally ridiculous. Made Sherman look average

ME’s the real deal. We’ll get to see ME and JJ the two best WR’s a lot as the NFC South is loaded. Benjamin is no slouch!
November 27th, 2016 at 7:13 pm
I love this guy!!!!!!!!!!! And he’s only going to get better
November 27th, 2016 at 7:13 pm
Love this kid. 23 years old. Jameis is 22. Marpet, Smith, and Pamphile all young. We are building something down here in Tampa I tell ya.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:19 pm
And to think…last year and this off season, idiots around here were saying he was a bust.
You know who you are…don’t make me prove it.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:21 pm
As long as he’s not taking a knee anymore during the anthem Im good…and he said he wont, so its all good. Good job ME13.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:22 pm
Wow. These Bucs are progressing faster than I thought. At the beginning of the season I thought 8-8 would be overachieving for their talent level.
If they build right, Bucs are 2-3 years away from being the Patriots.

Mike Evans is a MAN simple as that… he owned Sherman. watching Sherman bitch to the refs for getting a taste of his own medicine was priceless.

November 27th, 2016 at 7:37 pm
THAnks for Ky hands
November 27th, 2016 at 7:37 pm
Yep Kobe Faker this guy is average.
November 27th, 2016 at 7:39 pm
Already at 1000+yds for the year and passes Michael Clayton’s career total. Will the comparisons now cease? Probably not, haters have to hate.
He is one of four players in NFL history to achieve 1000yds in their first 3 seasons and most likely on his way to the Pro Bowl. Criticism at this point is really pointless. Give it up!

Amen,tmax,Amen ! What an awesome WIN !!!
November 27th, 2016 at 7:42 pm
Don’t know if any of you saw this as it occurred off camera, Richard Sherman crying to the refs after Evans 2nd td…..priceless
November 27th, 2016 at 7:42 pm
Look fellas, Im man enough to admit I made a mistake.
I watched a lot of Texas A&M highlights back in the day, and I was so anxious for a QB that I wanted the Bucs to draft Manziel… Thank lord Mr Licht was wise enough to look at the other end of the plays and take a top 5 WR with a premier draft pick.

I’d like to see Pryor come to TB
November 27th, 2016 at 7:53 pm
NJ,
I would like Pryor as well. He is big and fast!
November 27th, 2016 at 7:54 pm
And to think, someone wanted Jonny I’m outta Football…just kidding around, Joe. Keep up the good work!
November 27th, 2016 at 7:55 pm
And keep in mind, Evans did this not only against arguably the best corner in the NFL, but also without any real other “threats” at WR. At times, you could see he was being triple teamed!

Congratulations to Mike Evans. First receiver drafted by Tampa to reach the 1000 yard plateau in each of his first three seasons. Of players drafted by the Bucs, only Kevin House reached the 1000 yard receiving mark more than once (1981 and 1984). Mike Evans is also the 4th NFL receiver to start his career with 3 straight 1000 yard seasons. e is joining some elite company.
