Whiff Of White Smoke For Ayers?

Tips off status?

Tips off status?

Of course, we won’t know the status of defensive end Robert Ayers for a few days, maybe not until inactives are released 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday in San Francisco.

But could Ayers have tipped off his status yesterday?

In recent weeks Ayers, who Joe thinks is a cool cat, has told several Bucs reporters he wasn’t inclined to talk on the record at all until he was able to resume playing in games. Ayers wasn’t trying to be an arse, he just thinks other players should get attention while he is sidelined.

Just before the bye, Joe chatted briefly with Ayers in the locker room and Ayers told Joe he would be happy to talk when he can resume playing. No harm, no foul.

So yesterday, Joe noticed with interest that Ayers spoke with Jenna Laine of ESPN on the record. The brief wasn’t about Ayers, but still, he spoke.

Now Joe has no idea why, but Ayers self-imposed ban on speaking to reporters has come to an end.

Is this because he has a green light for Sunday?

Herb has been proven by Israeli doctors to be a great anti-inflammatory and to be a great at treating concussions.

Josh Gordon should be allowed to smoke herb.

Painkillers can kill you! Herb cannot! SCIENTIFIC FACTS!

I thought America was supposedly built on reason, science, and logic??

Go read the “Age of Reason” by Thomas Paine to get hip. (he was a founding father)

The real motto of the US was “the new secular order.”

Christian morons changed it in 1954 to “In god we trust”

Me? I say bring back logic and reason to our dumbass nation!

teacherman777, sadly we can’t bring back logic and reason. Everything seems to be about feelings these days. And, I’m sure you’ve seen student’s scores in math and sciences. I agree with your sentiment. But, for the foreseeable future we’re more likely to see the Bucs in the SuperBowl this year than than any increase in logic and reason. (Yes, I have degrees in math and in physics.)
