Joe is all pumped up with the NFL schedule set to be released at 8 p.m.

It’s a national holiday. Joe always toasts the first look at the schedule with something ice cold in a bottle that rhymes with “hemisphere.”

Of course, schedule leaks are swirling, and reliable, longtime Bucs beat reporter Jenna Laine is Twittering a big one.

Per Laine, the Bucs will open the season at Atlanta, where Dirk Koetter and Mike Smith will try for the Bucs’ third consecutive win against the Falcons.

Man, that’s a tough season opener in a loud-ass dome with a new defense with lots of new players trying to communicate. Will Adrian Clayborn foil the Bucs by stopping his serial loafing? Will America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, put his stamp on this season?

Check back at 8 p.m.. for the full schedule — and a good chance at a Santa surprise.

Joe…not to mention 2 old ex Atlanta Falcons coaches roaming our sidelines.

Might be a little loud in Hotlanta.

  2. The Buc Realist Says:

Adrian Slowborn whole career is a loaf!!! It is a “hail mary” or playing “outside himself” if he makes a play!!! I cannot believe that a team is paying him a little over 2 million !!!! That was about $650,000 a sack!!!!!

LOL I put in “adrian slowborn” when i looked up his salary on over the cap!!!!!

  3. Kevin Says:

Oh man Koetter is going to slaughter these fools. Koetter and smith both against theyre former team with Jason licht laughing at how they had the right guys just in the wrong order!!!!

    THERE WILL BE BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Tampa Tony Says:

Over under of prime time games? 1, maybe…

You’d think america would wanna see their qb

  9. Trubucfan22 Says:

Only 1 Thursday night game. No real primetime games

  10. Tampa Tony Says:

But he’s Americas QB? Why would the network keep the country’s qb off the air?

  11. Rrsrq Says:

I’ll be there with a great group of guys, the ATLBucs

  12. DallasBuc Says:

I’m pumped about opening in Atlanta. Great opportunity to make a statement early in the season. Ya know, like the statement incompetent Lovie Smith made in the 2015 season opener at home against rookie Mariota and the worst team in football Tennessee Titans!

  13. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I simply can’t be any worse than our opener last year…..humiliating loss to the Titans at home….

  14. gambelero Says:

I could get past the second paragraph; for the life of me I can’t think of a beverage that rhymes with hemisphere

You mean like this beer right here!!!

  17. DB55 Says:

Monday night vs the panthers baby I’ll be there.

  18. SB with Jameis Says:

I will be opening the season on my couch with a bottle of Montana Roughstock. http://www.montanawhiskey.com/whiskey/
It is Pricey but the Bucs are worth it this yr. In yrs past I do the open with some Icehouse! 🙂

  19. DB55 Says:

Well considering its in Carolina maybe I won’t be there. Ha!

  20. DallasBuc Says:

A lot of late games this year

  21. Tampa Tony Says:

Lot of west coast teams coming to tampa

    2 road games to start…

In 2015 only one team made the playoffs with starting the season on the road for two consecutive games

  22. Dave Says:

I don’t get the bashing of claiborne.
He was good his rookie year and it was mostly because of hustle. He got injured. In ATL he’s been decent. One tape showing him letting up and he gets bashed. Ive seen plenty of players let up in worse situations, not saying it’s right, but come on. The guy is known for his effort.

  23. Nole on Sat.-Bucc on Sun. Says:

Lets remember something in the up coming future. When we become perennial winners( which we will here shortly) lets remain humble and exercise a level of humility. I say this because I find it interesting the cats open in Denver. I’m so lovin it I might add, but clearly the football Gods wish to rub it in they’re faces having walk thru the confetti and then have to return and witness them raise they’re championship banner tells me all they’re antics last season did not go over well in the eyes of Some. I know they claim the schedule is done by computer but I find it hard to believe that was totally by chance. IJS. And again I love it.

  24. RustyRhinos Says:

Part Of the ATLBUC crew! We will be at the tailgate and the game.

It should be fun, Both of our coaches have seen the other side of this stadium, they will bring their best A game. Time to start looking for tickets!
