Bucs Win Honor For Leading In Customer Service

February 17th, 2016

Team Glazer was applauded by season ticket holders

Take your head out of the toilet. Stop digging a basement.

Your Buccaneers are doing great things, even if you don’t see them in the NFC South standings.

The NFL surveys season ticket holders to gauge their satisfaction, or lack thereof. And on these scorecards, Tampa Bay is dominating. Per an official team announcement today, the Bucs led the NFL in customer service among “Season Pass” buyers last year.

And guess what? The Bucs also took home the gold trophy in 2012 and 2013.

The NFL’s “Voice of the Fan” is a league-wide report that provides extensive analysis of the in-game experience obtained through independent site visits as well as polling of fans at games throughout the season. Included in the annual report are individual team rankings in a variety of key categories related to the overall experience of attending a game.

The Bucs will tell you that a massive (and expensive) re-dedication to customer service in 2012 deserves much of the credit. Hats off to Team Glazer and the Bucs for taking great care of the people who take great care of them — the season ticket buyers.

Yeah, prices went up this year. But that doesn’t take away from the strong customer service, and after no ticket hikes since Chucky was head coach, fans should realize Bucs remain an excellent value — one that will increase significantly if the team actually wins home games more than they lose them.

First off I want to thank the Glazers for the upcoming season!!! Its been so long since I have been excited to see some Buccaneer Football!!! I was talking to someone who said their excitement was from ” this is the first year that we finally step out of the 90’s shadow, no more holdovers, leftovers, and throwbacks”!!!

It is a refreshing start, finally from over 20 years ago! a new direction!! and I am excited!!!

    Go Bucs!!!!

  2. Mike Johnson Says:

I would sincerely like to thank the Glazers for consistently giving us many years of..Losing and embarrassing football. Its truly been great to joyously sit back and watch us occupy the bottom of the barrel on such a consistent basis. Our losing is like that..sweet smelling stain which refuses to leave our toilets no matter how much cleanser we use. Thanks Glazers..Keep up the good work guys! We lead in customer service allright. The church service may be fine. But we can always be assured of losing on Sunday. May we get some customer service in Winning or at least getting back to the playoffs? Customer needs assistance in..sporting goods Mr. Glazer!

LMAO I was lied to by my ticket rep. She stated, that if I renewed my season tickets back in August, that there wouldn’t have be an increase in 2016. My tickets increase and when I spoke with her, she stated, that was never said. However, she had been receiving calls all day from customers that had the same “misunderstanding” as I.

What a great customer service experience!

  4. ndog Says:

This is 100% a joke as we have a lousy product on the field, the worst jumbotrons in the NFL, horrible sound system, zero ability to work a cash register on the upper deck and half the time they run out of food. Oh yeah and the surveys were a week before they announced the ticket price increase. And yes they did say your price would not go up but as I was “mislead” as well. They “forgot” to tell you only the prorated portion would not go up, I guess they just forgot.

  5. The Buc Realist Says:

Just think of the ticket price increase as a ” Good Coaching Tax “!! Then it won’t seem bad at all!!!!!

  6. NewDayInTampa Says:

Really, what a joke they raised ticket pieces after another losing season I guess someone has to pay Goodell salary

  7. mac Says:

When you lose 75% of your games you better be good at kissing the fan’s ass…

  8. Tiny Tim Says:

Some of you bi$xh about everything. So what ticket prices went up. I was paying $45 dollars a ticket for the past 8 years. Now i gotta pay $55. Thats neither going to put me in the poor house or the rich house. The bucs are still like the 5th cheapest ticket in the nfl. The market value for nfl games regardless if the team sucks or a contender is already set and the glaziers did not set the market value. The fans set the market value due to our appetite for the game. As business men, they had to raise prices. You wouldnt sell your car if it was worth 20k for 5k would you? I guess you would if you are a crackhead and the last i checked, the Glazers are not crackheads. Its a business. Get over yourselves.

  9. mac Says:

    @ tiny Tim

When you lose 75% of your games the tickets should be half price…

And how do you know if the Glazers smoke crack or not? Have you seen the list of coaches they selected before Koetter?

  10. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ mac

Thats not how buisness works. You are lucky. The bucs had not raised prices since 2008 when the market value dictated they would be well within their rights from a buisness perspective. Winning or losing has nothing to do with market value. Thats why people pay 10k for a stupid super bowl ticket regardless if the game is close or a blowout. Take a few buisness courses and then you will understand.

  11. Espo Says:

This past season my season pass wouldn’t scan at the gate. New pass, same problem. I had to walk to the opposite side of the stadium and wait in line for a paper ticket. One of those times, the paper ticket didn’t work. We have 3 tickets on the account. Mine was the only one that had trouble. They finally fixed it 4 games in.

  12. softastissueMcCoy93 Says:

    @ Tim,

The ticket increase is not the big deal, it was the lie that was told. What would have happen to ticket sales if people would have waited after week 1 to renew?

  13. Dan Says:

I had season tickets for the first time this past season. Other than the guy who sold them to me the rest of the experience was very subpar. Plus a 6 and 10 team increases my cost by 20%. Try winning some games guys. I’ll see you on tv next season.

  14. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ soft

That may be your issue, but most of the fans crying about price hikes are crying because the bucs raised the prices while putting a losing product on the field. Many that are crying do not even have season tickets or even go to the games. As for my experience, i was not told anything from the rep one way or the other. I can not relate.

  15. Pickgrin Says:

Just because the Bucs ticket prices are at the lower end of the “NFL spectrum” (even after the increase) does not mean that it is a fair price. The “NFL experience” is flat out too expensive. Once you have paid $25 for parking, $50+ for a decent seat, $10 each for a couple cans of beer, $7 for a soda, $12 for a sandwich or mini pizza, $4 for a bottle of water – etc etc – it costs at least $125-$150 per person to be “entertained” for 3 hours.

Or I can sit at home and watch the game on my big screen (with the ability to pause, re-play, slow mo, etc) in the comfort of my own environment, drink $1 premium beers, eat a $5 Subway sandwich and smoke as much herb and as many cigarettes as I want without fear of reprisal or missing the game – and save $140 every Sunday that there is a home game.

    Hmmmm. Tough call.

I used to go to a lot of Bucs games – rarely do anymore. The Bucs and the NFL in general have priced themselves out of the average person’s budget. Oh well.

I guess its all good until they start forcing every NFL fan to pay way more for the “product” via pay-per-view (which is coming – mark my words).

  16. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ pick

Thats an nfl issue and not a bucs problem. Who is the root of the problem? The fans because we are obsessed. You cant be mad at the nfl and the bucs when we are the ones driving the demand. You do not see the wnba charging crazy prices. You know why? There is no demand. Its as simple as that.

  17. LifeOfABucFan Says:

I don’t care they raised my ticket prices..there’s no better feeling than being around a bunch of crazy, loyal fans…I am usually the only sober one at the end of the game..lol…but I wouldn’t trade my Buc fans for anything in the planet…

My best friend can no longer go to the Patriot games..she said for the prices up there, she believes she should get lap dances from Edelman, Gronk and Danny…

    Actually that’s not a bad idea..j/k..but I am a female!!

  18. Classyfreddyblassy Says:

Even with the watered down beer? I guess it has more to do with all the leg room people have because of the empty seats around them.

  19. LifeOfABucFan Says:

I just HATE, really HATE visiting teams with their obnoxious fans in OUR seats..In my HOMETOWN..can’t wait to see the wait list days again…

I ran into some Bear fans, like 20 of them in a bus after that game..and they were seriously a bunch of tools..

  20. tmaxcon Says:

Are you sure the survey was not from opposing team fans who bought tickets and benefited from Lovie Smith’s embarrassing coaching job.

  21. Mike Johnson Says:

Tmaxcon..We are in this SpIn cycle like the movie where Tom Cruise keeps waking up only to get killed repeatedly over and over again. That’s us with the losses. Don’t put it all on Lovie. Our Bucs were losers Way before him buddy. Your wonder boys Licht and Koetter also share in the responsibility as well. I mean they were/are a part of the Bucs family right? Chop off the head and keeping some cancerous parts does not compute. I’m with Poster..Mr Pickgrin here. I got a 60 inches brand new curve TV. I’m gonna kick back, have a few libations (you need’em watching the Bucs), make my own cheap snacks and hope and pray..we Win some games. I’ll not give the Glazers one more dime of my hard earned money until we can field a team capable of making it to the playoffs. And I don’t care if the tickets are 5 bucks.
We are tired of Losing and buying into the new hyped up 2 yr hopes. SHOW US YOU CAN WIN. Its that simple. NOTHING..else matters..Period!

  22. cmurda Says:

LMAO @ Pickgrin. “smoke as much herb and as many cigarettes as I want…”

    Well done. +5

  23. MartyB Says:

Truly shocked by this. My customer service experience was so bad that I “voted” by not renewing my Club Seats after having season tickets since 1988.
