A Jameis Christmas Story

America's Quarterback and a Christmas story.

America’s Quarterback and a Christmas story.

Yes, Joe knows Christmas, at the heart of the matter, is about kids. Christmas may mean more to those in grade school and younger than any other group in society.

And not coincidentally, it seems young NFL fans, especially young Bucs fans, are drawn to America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.

Joe remembers vividly how in the bowels of Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, there was a group of 40 or so kids, none more than 7 years old, who shrieked when they saw Jameis walking to the team bus after the loss to the Colts. “JAMEIS… JAMEIS!” they yelled.

Remember: this was in Indiana, not Florida. Jameis (remember: Bucs had just lost) took as much time as he could to sign autographs with the kids and chat, as the team bus was about to depart for the airport.

Well, below is a Christmas story about a family celebrating, a treasured new family member, and Jameis’ appeal to our future NFL fans.

And people actually wonder why Joe has glossed Jameis with the correct moniker, “America’s Quarterback.”
