Sapp Cops Plea, Spared Jail

October 2nd, 2015
Spared jail.

Avoids jail.

Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp, one of three Bucs players to have his number retired, took a plea deal from Nevada authorities yesterday over a hassle with his former girlfriend which saw him pinched earlier this year.

Per the Associated Press, Sapp must keep his nose clean for a period of time and do community service so he doesn’t get locked up in a Nevada cage.

The 42-year-old former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders defensive tackle pleaded no contest in Las Vegas Justice Court to one misdemeanor domestic violence charge, court officials said.

A judge fined Sapp $345 and ordered him to pay $2,555 in restitution, log 48 hours of community service and six months of counseling, and stay out of trouble for six months. Two other misdemeanor domestic violence charges were dismissed.

Sapp also has to stay away from the victim, prosecutor Lisa Luzaich said. He faces six months in jail if he violates terms of the deal.

This is good news. The last thing Joe wants to see from a Bucs great is him tumble out of control. Hopefully, the counseling Sapp gets will help.

    Warren,
Remember that every new day is an opportunity to start a new chapter in life.
Whether you like it or not, you are a role model. You have children.

Mr. Sapp meet Miss Karma! You can’t go through life treating people like crap and not expect it to come back and bite you in the a$$. Everything always comes full circle! Just eat that slice of humble pie & hope you come back strong with a new outlook on life.

I don’t think Sapp did anything wrong. The whores solicited him because of his name and then tried to extort him. Creepy bitches.

Why are you people leaving messages for Sapp? Do you think he’s going to read this site for advice? Weird.

@joedunn..I agree…I hate sapp…I remember my dad taking me to a bucs practice at UT back in the day and stood along the fence with others waiting for practice to end and sign autographs…I had on my Jaquez Green jersey..players started coming out and I received autographs from just about everyone including Tony Dungey who skipped me because my pen ran out but came right back and said,”got it workin young fella?”…he signed it and walked off…the only two players that hadn’t come thru yet was derrick brooks and sapp…sapp came out walking with derrick and the crowd went wild..then sapp looked at derrick and said,”i aint signing sh$t” and looked at me and others in the crowd and laughed as kids were screaming, “sapp sapp sapp”…myself and a few adults including my dad heard sapp and we were looking at sapp with disgust…derrick promptly came over with a big smile on his face and said,” hows it going little man, where you want me to sign?” I said any where and he signed it and went down the line signing stuff for people….ever since then I couldnt stand sapp the person…he was an a$$hole then and he’s an a$$hole now…I wish the judge gave his broke a$$ 2years in prison…F U SAPP!!!GO BUCS!!!
