Lovie: “Nobody Wants To Hear About The Hurt”; Doug Martin Has Knee Injury

Doug Martin has a new injury

The Bucs are banged up left and right, up and down.

Most NFL teams are.

Doug Martin, with a long history of injury, was back on the injured list today. He sat out with what Lovie called a knee injury, but Lovie said Martin should be fine. However, Lovie said yesterday that any time a player misses practice it’s a significant injury.

Considering Martin’s injury woes in 2013 and 2014, plus a relatively light load this season for a featured running back, Joe is concerned.

The NFL season is a long grind, and Martin has been running very hard, including against the Texans last Sunday.

The Bucs need Martin to be close to the rookie star he was this season. That might be a lost dream at this point. Martin is an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Regarding banged up players, Lovie said, “Nobody wants to hear about the hurt.”

Good thing they cut Mike James….

  5. Buccfan37 Says:

Maybe you should just report who is healthy and ready to go, that would be a shorter list.

Great point about the field. Why the NFL let them put fown fake tutf right before the game was stupid and dangerous.

Not only am I concerned about our backs, we got a lotta other issues as well. Can our Bucs win without Martin? Maybe..But if our Defense does not wake up its gonna be a long season Buc Fans. Been a fan from the start. Whey back when. Now If our Bucs truly want to make a statement? Beat Carolina. And in order for us to even have a chance. Our Defense has got to man up and play. Our D has had two performances where they were, Manhandled. We shall see how far our Bucs have come along Sunday. Cause Cam Newton is runnin and throwing..well thus far. Contain him and we got a very good chance. If Martin cannot go? No excuses. Next man up. You never know which Buc team is gonna show up. Lets see if we can finish the qtr 2-2.

All we want to hear from you Lovie is that it was a nice win on Sunday. That’s all I want to hear you talk about on weekdays.

  14. SOEbuc Says:

If we do go 2-14 again, they better go all D in 2016 draft and gets some freakin names in trades and FA. Im willing to give L&L another year but we gotta produce some names that can produce. I dont wanna see another 2 year and out coaching and GM situation!!!

  15. P'cola Buc Says:

Look for the Bucs drafting RB in 2016 draft.

  16. ToesOnTheLine! Says:

Doug will be good to go Sunday, dude knows he’s in a contract year. Nothing against Jameis, but at this stage in his career (rookie) I’m guessing teams are more focused on taking the run game away on top of the fact the Bucs so far look like a mediocre run blocking OL

hope we beat cam and the boys this week…GO BUCS!!!
