Historic Jameis

October 31st, 2015
NFL history.

NFL history.

Joe knows there is a sad sect of Bucs fans that work over their rosary at night hoping and praying for America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, to fall flat on his face and fail in the NFL.

Joe thinks these trolls are just a disgusting lot, but they exist. Trust Joe, they exist.

So the following is likely to ruin their weekends.

Per multimedia maven Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com, it seems Jameis has made NFL history already.

Rookie QB Jameis Winston’s last two games have been his best, but there have been positive signs in all six of his outings so far. And he certainly has brought steady production to the passing attack. In fact, again according to the Elias Sports Bureau, Winston is the first player in NFL history to throw for at least 200 yards in each of his first six games.

Uh, oh. Peyton Manning didn’t do this. Nor Andrew Luck or Tom Brady. Nor Ben Roethlisberger, nor — pick your quarterback.

But Jameis has. And like any other rookie, he’s still learning. Shoot, he’s not even halfway through his rookie season yet.

Joe almost pities the haters. Almost.

That’s what happens when your team has to play catch-up so often. Like Bortles with Jags putting up big numbers this year.
I wish Lovie would turn the kid loose earlier in games

  2. WalkdaPlank Says:

If only he had a competent defense and a coach.

  3. ben Says:

I now think the bucs may have picked the wrong coach and still believe the bucs will have picked the wrong qb after a year or two.

  4. Buccfan37 Says:

Where is Jameis on TV commercials? I’ve seen Mariota twice on different ads in the past ten minutes. I guess he is the media darling.

  5. LargoSamIM Says:

    KIRK COUSINS > JAMEIS WINSTON

  6. The Rockstar Says:

Kirk Kissing Kousins > Bucs defense. The only thing that held Winston back was Dirk Koetter and everyone seems willing to live with that for now.

  7. M It Smyth Says:

Get over it haters, Jameis seems to be the real deal. I for one sure as hell hope he is. Now if the Bucs Brass keeps Lovie “I don’t really want to score points” Smith, then they need to hire a competent defensive coordinator. So we can stop being Debacled all the time.

  8. JAB83 Says:

    Dan Marino!!!

    JAMIES IS ON HIs way

  9. Clodhopper Says:

The haters aren’t the type to deal with rosaries. They deal more with sacrificed virgins and goats blood

  10. JAB83 Says:

Ok, hope the change of perspective helps changes some Fan of Depression s minds and sends them into tomorrows game slightly upbeat… This way they can practice being a Fan of Inspiration during tomorrows game vs a TROLL!!!

QUICK REMINDER OF THE NEW FOUND HOPE (perspective).

Lovie was advertised as a Defensive coach but instead has done all we could hope he would do if he was advertised as an offensive coach… Perhaps his time in the basement made him change and adapt his style of building a team… He has turned offensive structure first then D on us… Only makes since because the thing our beloved decade long run of awesomeness lacked was our offensive short comimgs… Think as if this was the plan all along… Take my word for it because its true…

Anyways, this game tomorrow is really gonna test The Pride of Tampa Americas QB JW…. I am excited to see him get ALL his guys involved and keep the presser on… Take a little pressure off The Musel Hamster, Road Runner (Simms) and The Rain Man (Bobby R)

I look for them to start off fast again and put the game in the D’s hands again… Sometimes the hardest and best lessons are learned the hard way… A trees Roots grow faster during a storm then any other time!!!

31-17 BUCS!!! All Day if Trolls stay in their Fan of Depression mindset and Fans of Inspiration stay strong!!!

Its gone be fun NO MATTER WHAT….

Simple as That ~ It really is!!!!

Mr. Winston is doing very well as far as I see it. Yes he has had some unfortunate bad games but has also managed the game very very well with our Running game getting going much more often than we have seen in some time.

Sunday, I get to see the whole team sail into known hostile waters. Ready for us to Bring it for 4 quarters.
    Go Bucs!

  12. sick of losing Says:

    Buccfan37

Too much controversy fot Subway, especially after that whole Jared ddebacle.

On a side note, could the Mariota tv ads be any drier? I kinda giggle imagining the director trying to pull more out of Marcus on the day of the shoot.

  13. Danati74 Says:

Its going to be hard for Jamies to have as good as a game the last few. I mean he has M. Evans to throw the ball to and both backs. I hope they flank C. Sims out to the WR spot or slot. Just maybe ASJ will come out of retirement to play. I don’t believe we can keep up with the Falcons, but would be nice if we could do it for Koetter.

  14. Buc53 Says:

Wait…there are still anti-Winston Bucs fans? Y’know what, if they are this ignorant about the game of football then they can go root for the panthers. There’s no denying the promise Winston is showing. He has better stats, more w’s, and is healthier than Mariota with a worse O-line. Winston is completing throws that the Titans aren’t even letting Mariota attempt. If you can’t see that, you are an idiot or an a-hole. We don’t need either.

    There’s the door.

  15. NCBuc Says:

OK….. I’m not a hater! Let’s get that straight! But you can’t count rookie ratings from over 10 plus years. It was a different league back then. WRs were getting killed for trying to catch the dam ball! Use some better examples Joes!

  16. Clodhopper Says:

    NCBUC,

What about last year? Two years ago? The year before? Or every single year EVER. Luck Wilson Kaep Newton, RG3. You can go as far back as you want or as recent as you want. Doesnt matter. Hes equal opportunity. Name any quarterback from any point in time. He beats them all. And Especially Mariota.

  17. JAB83 Says:

Andrew Luck is a good example….

Tomorrow is gonna tell us a lot about JW… If he can excel under these circumstances guys on offence are gonna play to win for a change and hopefully that will spill over to the D!!!

  18. NCBuc Says:

Ummmm I think you missed the point there hopper! Spread qbs as of recent are 1 hit wonders. When you bring up Brady, who didn’t start as a rook…… Wait? Why am I explaining something to somebody who didn’t actually read the post?

  19. Joe Says:

But you can’t count rookie ratings from over 10 plus years.

Joe never cites quarterback ratings. And likely never will.

Might want to re-read the post.

  20. Clodhopper Says:

Your right I did miss the point. I don’t understand why it mtatters when a qb was rookie if its every rookie ever

  21. Clint Says:

He hasnt’ hit 300 yards yet

  22. I'm tired and 87 is right Says:

This story makes me think of the “hello” song by adele. See he is on the verge of being a great but don’t let somebody tell you hello. Be the hello how are you? Bucs beat the Falcons. Simple as that.

  23. MadMax Says:

Im still very happy with JW. Glad we picked him. I dont know what happened to Mariota after that first game against us but clearly we have the better QB. The offense is going to be fine. We could use another addition to the O line, hopefully finding a gem like Marpet. But its our D suffering so much right now. We need to address DB/DE. Plus the coaching there just sucks….all on Lovie.

Be ready for a disaster on D against the dirty birds. Im predicting we’ll score about 21-28 on them….it just wont be enough.

  24. Simpleasthat Says:

What a bunch of crap. We won’t really know until a couple of years. Fireing Lovie and promoting Koetter would help.

  25. Jbeachbuc Says:

Wasn’t sure if this article would bring out the hater/troll, but it definitely brought out quite a few idiots.

  26. TampaThom Says:

I have calculated the new percentage of “haters that are gators” at about 83.3 percent. It was 41.6 percent at start of season.

  27. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

No offense Jab83, but you may want to google words before you type them out. I am amazed that you and many others seem to think that the words offense and defense are spelled with a C.

  28. LargoBuc Says:

Lovie needs to let koetter do his thing out there. We’re almost at the halfway point. Time to give Jameis a chance to finish teams off. Cause our defense just isnt getting it done.
