Groin Still Straining Mankins

October 21st, 2015

mankinspracticeThe Bucs’ $7 million-per-year left guard wasn’t ready to throw on pads and hit people at practice today, the Bucs’ lone padded practice of the week.

Yes, Logan Mankins’ groin still seems to be trouble — and Joe doesn’t know anyone concerned.

How times have changed. Second-year man Kevin Pamphile, coming of his first start at left guard, looked like a keeper against Jacksonville and certainly was more athletic than Mankins.

Of course, Mankins is not ruled out for Sunday in Washington, but it’s never a good sign when a guy has a game and a bye week off and can’t go when he returns.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins was a spectator today, too, though Joe did see him dancing to some of the rap blaring at Bucs practice.

He can sit on the bench next to EDS!

  2. Brett Says:

This will be his last year and Evan Smith’s last year with the Bucs.

    Joe,

Do you know if Banks was a “full go”?

Maybe we can keep Mankins on as a coach for next year. Sounds like he’s helped Donovan Smith and Pamphile quite a bit.

  5. Howard Cosell Says:

We should probably keep those two guys for depth.
Have any of you ever heard of “depth”?
    Obviously the Lasers never have.

Mankins is also a great teacher, mentor and role model.
EDS is a dick, but he would make for great depth.

ASJ is such a soft a** man. Do your job!!

  7. James Walker Says:

    AJS is injury prone, sadly.

I would let EDS go and try to restructue Mankins for depth & experience….we have the money now that we are not hemorrhaging it on free agents…..

Calling him injury prone is one thing, but calling him soft is quite another. Would you tell him that to his face? If the answer is no, then you are a coward. You call him that and let’s see who’s the soft one. Gotta love these internet tough guys! CLOWN!

    Well that’s still good .
Pamphile gets another week at LG too prove too the staff and fans that he deserves too stay at LG the rest of the year . Rather seethe young guys get reps than the old slower guys anyways . Age on the line isn’t experience it’s called tired and worn.

Does he still BBQ? Now would be a good time for him to catch up. Have a few sodas, rest up that groin, eat some steaks… See ya next week bud.
