Jameis Says He Snorts At Mariota

September 9th, 2015

Jameis talks about being a stud thoroughbred — with another stud thoroughbred.

Joe’s never seen a rookie with so much poise and confidence at a pre-opening-day news conference. Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback, didn’t surprise Joe this afternoon with his comfort before a press corps, but it’s still stunning.

Among other things, Jameis perfectly explained his relationship with Marcus Mariota.

Without the exact quote typed up, Jameis likened his relationship with Mariota to two stud horses at a racetrack. The thoroughbreds pass each other around the stables, Jameis said, and then snort at each other, as if to say, ‘I see those big balls and big muscles, big guy.’

Yes, Jameis made a snorting sound.

It was the perfect analogy, the alpha animals respecting each other and having enough composure not to rip each other’s eyes out.

The score will be settled on the racetrack — or in this case, the football field on Sunday.

The kid is a stud Joe. I just hope he holds up to the blitz like everyone else hopes.

LVD and Kwon need to be going after Mariota on blitzes of their own though.

The Bucs are going to win their home opener this weekend. RJS will be rocking.

87 OK for the dozenth time I’m happy to say yes you told me so and I was wrong. I like to pride myself in never having a problem admitting when I’m wrong. In this case of course it’s made a lot easier because JW is on our team.

If the roles were reversed and JW was a Titan and Mariota was the Buc it might be a little tougher crow to chew but whatever it’s all good.

This kid has an incredible imagination and creativity to go with that positive attitude. He is literally DOING all the stuff I’ve spent the last two decades reading and learning. The kid is truly a child prodigy when it come to the perfect attitude for a QB…or any other position in life.

    @Joe

Don’t know if it’s one of you guys or the interns selecting the pictures. Hot babe are easy…any of us can do that. But that was the PERFECT picture! I shared this with my wife and we’re both still laughing out loud. The kid is entertaining!

And so props to you Joe or to the intern who found that pic!!!

I love that picture posted here at times with Jameis and Marcus “shaking” hands at the combine. Both are looking into space not seemingly really acknowledging one and other. Looking at the picture you wonder if they even actually ever had the full handshake.

Jamies certainly earned my respect when he was asked about Mariota before the bid hyped up college game last year; he said : It is a rare privilege to be on the same field with such a great athelete\player.

Not an exact quote there, but along those lines. That really impressed me. I was under the impression that Jamies was all conceited, and about himself. He did not come across that way at all. The sky is the limit for this kid! GO BUCS!

  8. Pickgrin Says:

We are all hoping this “stud thoroughbred” can become a triple crown winner. I would say looking down the road a bit – that the odds are pretty favorable.

Jameis, Evans and Martin for the trifecta.

    Go Jaboo! Go BUCS!!!!

I could care less about Jameis’ confidence in front of the media, lets see some good play on the field. If we can’t beat the Titans, the team that held the 2nd overall pick and sucked just as bad as us last year, we can’t expect to do much the rest of the year. I’m sick of hearing about Jameis being such a confident genius. Lets wait to anoint him the 2nd coming of Jesus until he shows some good results on game day.
