“Microwave Savvy”

Bucs rookie WR Kenny Bell

Joe can only imagine what old school, ex-NFL players must think when they watch the following video of Jameis Winston and friends.

America’s Quarterback and fellow Bucs rookies were sent to cooking school recently by the Buccaneers team nutritionist, presumably to learn how to cook healthily during their summer break. Heck, even Jameis himself says he wants to shed the seven pounds he’s gained since the NFL Scouting Combine.

The players got hands-on with chefs and feasted on fancy food. No more two-a-days, no hazing, bigger salaries, fancy meals at team headquarters, and now this.

The video is below. The organizer explains that rookies a usually just “microwave savvy” and need the guidance.

What Joe really wants to know is why Kenny Bell isn’t wearing a hair net?

FUK that! I would just go over pitmaster Mankins’ house!

  5. Buc1987 Says:

I do all the cooking in my house. To say my wife is a terrible cook is an understatement.

People always ask me, if she doesn’t cook, what does she do? I always say she cooks in bed and that’s quite enough for me.lol

It showed up on my screen! ROTFLMAO! I am afraid, though, that if I repeat it, Joe will ban me. :^(

    @Joe ,
Any truth to the rumor that they would not let Lovie in. For fear that he would brake some plates, burn the food, and set off a grease fire on the fryer!!

Of course if that happened he would have fired some chefs, and some would say that he planned to ruin the dinner in order to get better groceries next time!!!

I feel that your love of the Rockstar, refusing to call him a poor GM, much like the BigDog’z love for the JF5.

Lee and Steve, you all are some bad ass writers, thank you so darn much for having a free site that calls it like it is. Best damn Tampa Bay Team Sports Blog, bar none. I also like when you comment on BucsNation, thank you for all you two mofos do! 🙂

Happy 4th of July everyone and safe travels!

  16. Charlie V Says:

Folks, y’all missed the point. There was competition involved and Jameis’s team did not win. He had his normal smile but where was the energy? He was Pissed! He was media savvy enough to give a politicly correct response, however, it seemed he was disappointed his team wasn’t 1st. . Imagine that.

  17. BuccaneEric75 Says:

I second SteveK, this site is the best!

@SteveK that sir is an understatement!

@Realist…I’ve been waiting for you to throw something out there about the whole tanking theory. I was getting worried there for a bit, but you came through.

Some fans on here just don’t realize how important Realist is to this site.

    The dudes a trip!

  19. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Jameis was pissed that his team didn’t win! I love it!!! Competitor!!!!

A team “nutritionist”? They couldn’t spring for a licensed dietician? I guess they provide dental care through the team toothiologist?

  26. Joe Says:

Can we please get a piece on the Bucs drafts with Dom vs. Licht’s?

Can’t. Unfair for both. One guy was around four years. The other just one.

You can dig it up if you wish — Joe linked to it — but rated Dominik’s drafts the past five years better than Bill Polian.

  27. Capt.Tim Says:

Looked like a fun putting. Probably a good idea
Good lord, Donavan Smith is a HUGE human being!!!

  28. Buc-A-New Says:
