Uh, oh!

Be careful out there Mike Evans. The Bucs need you.

Be careful out there Mike Evans. The Bucs need you.

Joe knows the following will give Bucs fans such a scare and shivers up their spine, they are going to race for the nearest bottle and begin chugging, whether it is the end of the work day or not.

Remember when Connor Barth, playing in a charity basketball game, blew out his Achilles and was lost for the season and never again for the Bucs?

Well, someone Bucs fans adore was caught by TMZ.com doing his best Dominique Wilkins moves. It is none other than Mike Evans. Joe loves hoops but thinks slam dunks are the most overrated play in sports. Joe saw 6-3 farmboys in the 1970s dunk in high school games, so pardon Joe if he yawns when taller professional athletes in top physical condition dunk.

Joe just hopes Evans doesn’t get too wild. The Bucs need him. On the football field.

  3. Jolly Bucs fan Says:

Joe your intro scared me more than the article, nonetheless I found the nearest bottle (I learned its always good to have one nearby if you are a bucs fan) and its too late to stop chugging.

  4. BucFanInArkansas Says:

Jolly Bucs Fan is MY kind of fan!!

  5. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

This is clearly Jameis Winston’s fault. Draft Mariota.

  6. INDYbucsfan Says:

    Not cool joe

  7. HawaiianBuc Says:

Most of these guys play basketball. I played with Sapp, Brooks, Dunn, and a bunch of other players at the Y back when I was in college. It’s how they stay in shape. ACL tears are so much more common in football it’s not even funny. Besides, Mike is going maybe half speed, probably more like 25%, and he clearly isn’t playing against elite talent. It’s gonna be ok, but that headline really did scare the crap out of me.

  8. Jimbo Says:

The guy always has played basketball off the field, big deal. Probably has a little something to do with his great footwork. The fact that this was posted in such a manner is laughable. Unfortunately, I was one of the suckers who clicked on it. You should go grab a bottle and call it a day Joe.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

This is what happens when you have “Dunkaneers”…..we don’t have to worry about McCown anymore…..

  10. Buc1987 Says:

    Uh Oh!

Jeez Joe nice headline….and it’s not even April 1st yet.

  11. bucrightoff Says:

When kickers (non-ahtletes) play other sports (like say, Connor Barth…), then we should worry because they aren’t athletes and are prone to hurting themselves doing things like picking up the newspaper in the morning. But Mike’s a strong athlete, he’ll be alright.

  12. TheDon Says:

He better stay healthy. Jameis needs him

  13. Eric Says:

He its better than when he jumped over the car at the Miami nightclub.

  14. Stpetebucsfan Says:

Jolly Bucs fan and Bucs fan in Arkansas

Put the bottles down and go back to the last thread and refuse Joe’s advice.

Go ahead an inhale. Mellow you right out and no hangover afterwards.

Of course you need to be in Colorado or Washington. I mean I’d never advocating breaking a law. Especially laws that make as much sense as our weed laws. OK snark font off now.

  15. buccinfan Says:

hey at least this time around is better than what tmz caught on camera last time he made headlines

  16. Dooley Says:

Joe it’s sounds like those farm boys we’re dunking on you, no hops no hope?

  17. Ray Rice Says:

    @ Hawaiian

I once wrestled with Jimmy Superfly Snuka at the local Boys & Girls Club back in the day. Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Koko B Ware were there too.

  18. K.G.S. Says:

He could come down on someone’s foot so easy and break his ankle or even a bad sprain and be out part of the year. Plus he’s a big guy and it takes forever for big guys to get back from foot problems. So put the basketball down! Go play some competitive pool basketball! Lol but for real that would ruin the season before it started! And I just bought your jersey. I at least want to see you play here for 5 full years before we trade you or lose you to free agency. Then I’ll be sitting there with my old Evans jersey while you win a championship with the Patriots! Lol

  19. Capt.Tim Says:

Despite articles overhype, I’m following Jolly Bucs lead. A bottle of wild Turkey by the computer/iPad/iPhone in case of emergency. Which, as a Bucs fan,is the norm- not the exception

“Lovie refuse to improve O- line” chug
“Bucs may not draft QB with first pick, leaning toward kick returner” chug
“GM feels team is ready to win as is- no More FAs”chug
    Eventually, it stops hurting

  20. Sapp, STFU Says:

    Hey Joe,

Show some mercy when you mess with us. Sneak in a Rick Roll.

  21. cmurda Says:

Yeah it’s scary seeing M.E. playing bball but dizam can he throw it down with ease or what?

  22. Mike10 Says:

Winston Apologists, here’s my disclaimer: THIS IS NOT HATE

… but Joe, I hope you’re ready to write these same articles on Winston next offseason when he’s working out with a MLB team

  23. jo_mama Says:

If we win 5 more games as last year, we will still be in last place in our division.

  24. BoJim Says:

I once played baseball with Jeter and A-Rod. Neither one of them could hit my curve.

  25. Matt Says:

I don’t see it as a problem . He was playing against high school kids . Looked like he was teaching them how too play against bigger guys . It keeps him in shape too . I’m all for it , throw vincent Jackson out there he was looking flabby a month or so ago. Barth came back just fine . He tore his Achilles playing basketball but it was a charity event he was trying too help people. Not everyone should think so negative about things

  26. Matt Says:

Oh and tbh this is his career and his life if he wants too go play basketball it’s his risk his life!!! Nobody else really should get a say about it
