Someone got a little testy at the end there, but even so, I still don’t agree with you that it is essential to draft any of these 2nd round talented QB’s with our first pick. Unless you can guarantee me that Johnny Football is an Andrew Luck, he should not be our first pick, ….period.

You can’t guarantee he can be a difference maker this year, but a Jake Mathews, or an Sammy Watkins or Kalil can. These guys can make an impact right away. This is what we need and it would be foolish for L&L to waver and take a huge risk on a QB who may never get it or can be a surefire 1st day contributor. Especially when your jobs are on the line. Just like WR’s the QB class is deep this year, with lots of equal potential that can be had in the later rounds.

Manziel’s real place on the board should be late 1st round early second round. Same goes for BWater and Bortles. There are at least 7 QB’s who are really lumped together at the top of this class that are late 1st rounders to mid 2nd rounders. But none stand shoulders above the other. They all have way to many flaws in their games so far to be labeled elite. I’m not saying someday they won’t be elite, but we need players that can make an immediate impact now, not 2-3 years from now.

Generally, teams picking in the late first round don’t need quarterbacks.

I agree. None of these QBs are viable 1st round picks.
    Great show this week.
