Brain Injury Symptoms Still Slowing Bowers

November 14th, 2013

Yes, concussions are brain injuries. Look it up.

Half-sack-man Da’Quan Bowers missed practice again today as a result of concussion-like symptoms. Bowers reported his problems to the team following the Monday night’s comeback win against the Dolphins.

Will Bowers play Sunday? That’s unknown. Would it matter? That’s unknown, too.

Bucs defensive ends are struggling mightily this season to get to the quarterback, but the Bucs still have a stout run defense, ranked fifth in the NFL on the heels of being the NFL’s best last season. Bowers doesn’t play much against the run.

Joe hopes for Bowers’ speedy return. It would be nice if the Bucs would just let him play a lot in the final seven meaningless games. It would be great to evaluate Bowers. We’ve already seen what Daniel Te’-O Nesheim has to offer — seven tackles and one sack in 10 games this season.

We all had high hopes on Bower’s potential 2013 showing. He was touted by the coaching staff as a sure thing on the DL. Reality has a way of smacking one in the face, as Bower’s ineptness continues.

So does the stupidity of both Coaches- and posters!
Bowers has been to one training camp. This year.
He had a horrific knee injury when he got here, that dropped him from top 3, to second round. While Returning from from that, he had an almost complete Achilles tear. The slowest leg injury to recover from- I know from experience.

He’s missed over a season of games. Is still gimpy. He showed “flashes late last year- because he is very talented!

But anyone who expected him to be a “Force” this year, should go get “Stupid” tattooed on their Forehead.
Clayborn is probably 80%. Coming back from an ACL year every bit as bad as Revis. It occurred later- if I’m not mistaken.
And Claybourns knees take a lot more abuse that Revis!

This is yet another failure by Dom and Schiano, expecting two young Gimps to provide pass rush!! I don’t care when they were drafted! Injured is injured.

Anyone who can’t understand that- or expected any other result- is truly a charter member of the Clueless Zombie Squad

    …and he has a concussion.

    (couldn’t resist)

  4. SG5821 Says:

Concussion is an excuse to not let him play by Schiano in the next game. Remember if Bowers plays, then number 50 (schiano Man) has to come out

    “Sarcasm involved….”

greg shiano said bowers was going to be a “force” he said if he did not get 10 sacks it would be a disappointment.

  6. Fritz50 Says:

“he said if he did not get 10 sacks it would be a disappointment.”

One would presume that was predicated on Bowers getting and staying healthy.
