Schiano’s Seat Is Broiling

October 13th, 2013

There’s no mandatory room temperature Greg Schiano can order to cool the broiling hot seat under his read end.

An 0-5 start is never acceptable, especially when it’s part of a 1-10 stretch dating back to the previous year. And especially when the head coach told everyone that would listen that he had all the “components” to win now.

Winning is the ultimate intangible in every sports — for coaches and players.

The Bucs are loaded with talent and can’t find a W. Today, the Eagles came out on their opening drive and appeared to have clearly outcoached the Bucs. Their scripted plays left the Bucs defense scratching their heads. Touchdown Eagles.

Backup QBs should spank you in your house.

Sloppy penalties again hurt the Bucs. How fitting was it that Akeem Spence’s offsides penalty on 4th-and-inches late with three minutes left in the fourth quarter all but sealed the game for the Eagles? Isn’t discipline the hallmark of the Schiano regime?

The NFL is a no-excuses business– and Schiano doesn’t have any.

I’m rooting for wins, but I’ll settle for Schiano getting fired as the consolation prize.

  2. JSmalls Says:

    Understatement of the season

  3. Jason77 Says:

I waited 8 months for this SHIT!!

  4. D-Rome Says:

Clearly this loss is on Josh Freeman.

    FIRE SCHIANO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. McBuc Says:

I say fire him before the sunsets.

  6. gotbbucs Says:

“I waited 8 months for this SHIT!!”

    Understatement of the century.

  7. PRBucFan Says:

Whether Schiano is right for the job or not D-Rome.

Freeman was not part of the solution.

  8. Hawaiian Buc Says:

My prediction is if he is going to get fired in-season, its going to happen tomorrow. I just don’t see any way it’s going to work with this guy leading us. He is horrible beyond words. Absolutely no adjustments made whatsoever. 5 games and 13 total points in the second half!!! That’s insane! It’s not the players, its the coaching. Some will try to make excuses for Schiano, but I literally can’t see any legitimate excuses at this point.

  9. Illuminati Says:

Seemed like a normal game to me. I didn’t see anyone getting “outcoached.”

    We just lost.

But I realize a lot of you douchenozzles have an agenda to push. You think every loss is a coaching failure.

  10. Architek Says:

I don’t think he will survive the season at this rate. They are getting out coaches and display no discipline – all translates to losing and firing.

Still love my Bucs but we just are not well coached.

  11. JerseyBucsFan Says:

    something needs to happen….like soon

  12. P'cola Buc Says:

What’s so sad is that this team has so much talent with no results. So much hope at the begining of the season. Excused the preseason and still had hope. Then maybe after the change at QB …but the season continues to disappoint. ( however I like Glendon’s progression- May still be best to draft a QB in 1st round next year). What is really the sincere answer to this dilema? Not an angry response. The sincere answer to this?

  13. Killian Says:

This loss was clearly on Tiquan Underwood and our garbage offensive line. This was not Schiano’s fault. He cannot stop players from making boneheaded plays in game.

  14. Illuminati Says:

    @ Hawaiian Buc

What adjustments would you have made?

Please, enlighten us with your vast NFL coaching wisdom and knowledge, lest we stray further into the depths of the lost.

  15. bucrightoff Says:

It is a coaching failure when penalties and breakdowns lead you all your mistakes. Glennon’s only mistake was totally on Underwood.

  16. Ian_620WDAE Says:

The Schiano era is over, Glazers need to do the right thing by the fans and fire him now to send a message that this type pf embarrassment will not be tolerated in Tampa.

Raheem might have been bad but was simply young and over his head. I rooted for Raheem until the end but Schiano makes Ray Perkins look desirable.

Glazers, open the war chest and get Bill Cowher in here now!

  17. Tampabaybuctfan Says:

I am now officially “discouraged” and I will join the crowd looking forward to next year. Sure, we could win a few games…but the season is all but lost.
The only bright spots were Glennon & Wright…we may have something there going forward.
Our defense got seriously burnt today….looked like last year’s pass defense.

  18. coach80m Says:

Douchenozzles? What’s that? No need to get personal. One plus today is they finally involved a TE. That’s all I’m saying about the game. I want to see what happens with this leak business. Maybe the Glazers will have a legitimate reason to fire him without paying him.

  19. bgolfdoc Says:

Two weeks to prepare and once again we score three points in second half and can’t stop them when we know they are going to run the ball. We need a coaching change. Schiano is over matched in the NFL. Want to see Glennon progress during the rest of year so we don’t have to use first pick on QB. I can at least hope.

  20. Warrenfb12 Says:

Shouldn’t be hot. Should be fired tomorrow.

  21. JH Says:

I find myself routinely checking your site to see that glorious headline, “Schiano Fired.” The anticipation is becoming overwhelming.

  22. Jfsolst Says:

Please put us out of misery. Fire Shiano. Now. Please.

  23. RastaMon Says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQbADgGZRmw

  24. oviedobucsfan Says:

I cannot understand why we are not making adjustments at halftime? All five games we do good in the first half and fall flat in the second half. The eagles two play scoring drive was embarrassing. Nick Foles should have been knocked down, hit or pressured at least every play. The guy was airing it out against our vastly improved(?) secondary. This guy is the eagles back up QB? I like Schiano and I think he has doen a great job with the defense but our O-line, our “Strong Suit” has been awful. Everytime I see a hand off to Martin its 1-2 yards and a cloud of dust. No holes, penalties, terrible. Even Joseph got pushed around today. Last week Penn was slapped around. I don’t get it. Our QB play has improved, TE position showed improvement and our O-Line has regressed. This sucks.

  25. Free's A Boob Says:

I didn’t realize that Schiano was the $1 mil corner that can’t cover in the end zone for a second straight game. O line and secondary both sucked big time. Banks was schooled and Goldson was invisible.

  26. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“Seemed like a normal game to me. I didn’t see anyone getting “outcoached.”

    We just lost.”

    ——

Really? 3 points in the entire second half against a horrible Eagles defense and you don’t think we got outcoached? Perhaps they made adjustments and we didn’t? You don’t think that’s remotely possible? Funny how Ronde Barber said as much, but I guess he has an agenda too right? We still use our $16 M CB in off coverage, when he’s probably the best press corner in the history of the NFL. That’s okay with you right? That’s not coaching I guess. Perhaps Revis chooses to play in off coverage, right? Penalty after penalty after penalty (most of the stupid variety), but that has nothing to do with coaching to you? Did I mention that we were held to 3 points in the entire second half by the Philadelphia Eagles? But nah, I have an agenda all right. I have an agenda to not go 0-16. Apparently you don’t care, because Schiano is a good coach in your opinion. He’s looking fantastic at 0-5, with a road game in Atlanta next. Let’s give him some more time, right?

  27. Architek Says:

And with the second pick of the 2014 NFL draft – the Tampa Bay buccaneers select”

  28. Pirate Phil Says:

So who is starting the fire schiano now website?

  29. Sheen Says:

    *vomits repeatedly*

  30. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“I didn’t realize that Schiano was the $1 mil corner that can’t cover in the end zone for a second straight game. O line and secondary both sucked big time. Banks was schooled and Goldson was invisible.”

    ——

Do you even watch the game? He was supposed to have safety help from Barron. Maybe you were at the game and didn’t get the luxury of a replay, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. Trust me, Barron was late giving help.

  31. NY Buc Says:

well at least the one positive we can take away from this turd of a game is we now know that Vincent Jackson is able to catch a ball with his hands much better than he can with his feet. Have to find some good.

  32. bucsdeluge Says:

Of course Joe could not wait to write this column. Looking at your early columns you were just setting yourself up, hoping the Bucs would lose, so you can keep pushing your agenda towards the coach.

This loss sucks, but Glennon looked to have progressed very well. This was a game lost by the defense, and I say that knowing the defense carried us for weeks. 2 weeks to prepare and they gave up the big passes.

Joe, you and the rest of the local media just keep doing what you do best.filling the fans heads up with crap.

  33. blackmagic00 Says:

This season is…….. In the tank. Imploded. Fried. Nuked. Just done. Glad I was so excited for the season to start.

  34. Free's A Boob Says:

Thought the million dollar man didn’t need help. He doesn’t impress me at all. And yes I watched the game and his IMO lame excuse. Again secondary played awful.

  35. dee Says:

I dont care what the stats say 0-5 fire the coach.

  36. Deminion Says:

It’s like there are no adjustments in 2nd half… And all this zone D crap is annoying and revis didn’t give up tht touchdown it was a busted coverage

  37. Illuminati Says:

The season was lost when we started Freeman. That’s on the organization, not Schiano.

Now, Schiano is finally rid of the horrible albatross around his neck that was Josh Freeman, and you expect every game to be a win?

I think we’ve all seen that Glennon is already better than Freeman. It’s not Schiano’s fault that that the organization had to give Freeman every last bit of rope to hang himself and prove that he would never be good.

Relax. You knew this season wasn’t going anywhere when we started Freeman. Now, we have a real QB.

I’m the first to say that I don’t think Schiano is a very good game-day coach. That’s why I was happy to see Sullivan call plays from the booth today. This offense needs Sullivan to be able to operate independently of Schiano on game day for our offense to be effective.

  38. Frank Pillow Says:

Every game teams make adjustments at halftime. Every game we don’t make adjustments to their adjustments. HC needs to be canned. The team is at an all time low. Every single day there’s a damaging story/allegation tied to One Buc. That too is on the GM…not to mention the collection of damaged-goods, over-priced OL, no 3rd WR, TE, DE, Freeman debacle. Right now, we make the Jags look stable.

  39. JonBuc Says:

A phrase I never thought I’d hear let alone say…but here goes:
We want Wanny! We want Wanny! Have fun the rest of the season and begin the new administration search immediately.

  40. PRBucFan Says:

“Thought the million dollar man didn’t need help. He doesn’t impress me at all. And yes I watched the game and his IMO lame excuse”

    Idiotic statement

  41. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“Thought the million dollar man didn’t need help. He doesn’t impress me at all. And yes I watched the game and his IMO lame excuse. Again secondary played awful.”

    ——

then talk to your defensive coordinator. Defenses are drawn up to give help in certain areas. It has nothing to do with “needing help”, yet has everything to do with the play design.

  42. Patrick in VA Says:

It would be one thing if he were sticking to his principles and other things just weren’t coming together but we are terrible at all the things he hangs his hat on. Discipline-none to be found. says he wants to run first and take shots down field-neither are being done effectively. Core values of trust and accountability-spills medical information and dumps quarterback when he’s the reason for our losses. If he can’t cone through on the things he supposedly focuses on then what exactly are we supposed to hold out hope for

  43. oviedobucsfan Says:

@ Hawaiian Buc – Atlanta has had two weeks to prepare for us same as we had 2 weeks to prepare for the eagles. This will be a telling game as College coach Schiano faces an expirenced NFL coach. Mike Smith will be ready, game plan, adjustments and all. It is going to be hard to watch.

  44. Bobby Says:

Barber didn’t say anything except penalty were killing us. Today we did something that we haven’t done all year…we gave up the big plays. You can have a good defensive scheme but if your players don’t execute it then you are going to lose. Our safeties were terrible in help over the top today. I actually thought Cooper should have been flagged for interference since they flagged Underwood for basically the same thing but regardless, the defense just didn’t hold assignment today. Philly’s offensive line moved our defense all day long. We just got beat. The one bright spot I thought was Glennon. He was put in some bad situations today and he led us down the field and put points on the board. The O-line cost us the game in the second half. How many holding penalties did we have for crying out loud??
They were at critical times and Glennon still seemed to overcome most of them. I think he shows a lot of promise.

  45. Adam Says:

Glennon did everything Schiano could have asked. Schiano was out coached at halftime again. Not knowing schianos rep, I would watch this team and say what we need was a discipline type coach.

  46. Robbie_G Says:

Schianos D was crap. DUMB @$$ NO MORE ZONE!!! #8 played very well, and yes we did see why the cut Underwood how many times now? Mr toes on the line if I see any more flags I m going to VOMIT. TIme to go back to North Western Dental College

  47. P'cola Buc Says:

    @Archetek
….and now picking 2nd in the 1st round the Buccaneers pick a Rutgers player no matter if Clowney, Manziel or Bridgewater is available.

  48. Couch Fan Says:

As much as I am for giving Schiano more time. It just seems inevitable that he will be fired at some point in-season or afterwards. It’s unavoidable at this point. This community was so hopefully coming into the season and right from the very first pre-season game this team has been awful.

I hate to say it but it appears we are now heading towards another rebuild. Glennon looks good though!! GO BUCS!!

  49. stanglassman Says:

    We need some Quenos

  50. Jbeachbuc Says:

What is the use of a HC if he can’t in game coach or game day coach ???
    Useless !!!

  51. Splengo Says:

    Illuminati,

You are not illuminated! You are in a river somewhere in Africa. You are “in da Nile”. SMDH.

  52. Robbie_G Says:

I HOPE and PRAY a REAL coach can take this talent and make a turn around like KC!!!!

  53. oviedobucsfan Says:

Frank Pillow said – Every game teams make adjustments at halftime. Every game we don’t make adjustments to their adjustments. HC needs to be canned. The team is at an all time low. ————————————————————————————–

We make the Jags look good. Are you speaking of the over priced DE as Daquan Bowers? I agree. TE crabtree was supposed to play so what happened?

  54. Illuminati Says:

I’m pretty sure we won’t lose another game this season. 11-5.

    Glennon’s already got it together.

    The defense is fired up.

Schiano clearly sees that it’s best if he lets Sullivan sit in the booth and make the offensive play calls.

We lost today, but we learned a lot.

Undefeated the rest of the way, and playoffs. You heard it here first.

  55. PRBucFan Says:

I’m glad we seem to have found a stud in Glennon,

Can’t wait to see how he progresses this season.

I don’t think Schiano will be the answer.

Not because of the media garbage but because of the L’s.

I hope our D can keep it’s swagger once he’s gone.

  56. AmbushBuc Says:

Neither of our “high status” safeties can cover worth a damn. We get outcoached every single game. Time to fire Dominik and Schiano and reboot.

  57. BucPower Says:

Simply put, fire him now!! Reminds me of the Raheem days, the players are not playing for their coach anymore

  58. JK Says:

Hugh Culverhouse must be smiling at all of this.

  59. Frank Pillow Says:

Guys, temper your praise for Glennon…the Iggies D is terrible. Yes, he looks more accurate than Freeman, but his deep ball is lousy and his shoes lined with cement. I’m not discounting his grit…in some ways he reminds me of Brad Johnson…but the days of the pure pocket passer are waning. Look at what Foles ran today…I’m not sure Glennon can do that. This is a scoring league predicated on a dynamic QB. Schiano came here wanting to run the ball and play D…and taking a shot here/there. Not a bad plan for last century’s football. Kelly and guys like him are the future, like it or not…

  60. stanglassman Says:

You guys can still blame it all on Josh. You know we would have been further along at QB etc.. if it wasn’t for him.
Who will feed Belichick all those players if Schaino is gone?

  61. oviedobucsfan Says:

    @ Illuminati

I hope you are right but we still have road games at Seattle and New Orleans and Atlanta and Detroit as well as San Fran coming to town. I will settle for winning our remaining home games and a split on the road.

  62. RastaMon Says:

Fire all the coaches….let the captains call the plays on offense & defense….

  63. Robbie_G Says:

Butch Davis where are you.. YOOHOOOOOOO

  64. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Illuminati,

You should really just stop. I’m sure you are joking, but it’s hard to tell when you say things like it has nothing to do with adjustments. Schiano won’t win 11 games in his entire tenure in Tampa.

  65. Illuminati Says:

    11-5.

    Done.

  66. PRBucFan Says:

    @Stanglassman

Freeman was clearly part of the problem.

He was not part of the solution.

Glennon already in 2 starts is showing more than Freeman had been showing.

  67. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Let me know what you’re drinking.

  68. Splengo Says:

    PRBucFan,

    Welcome home, Brotha!

  69. PRBucFan Says:

I DO NOT want Butch Davis to be our next coach.

    No thank you.

  70. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Today’s loss had nothing to do with Glennon. He played like a NFL QB. He was accurate and made good decisions. It’s not going to matter with Schiano.

  71. Robbie_G Says:

Freeman QUIT , end of story. Time for Schiano to GO!!!.

  72. PRBucFan Says:

    @Splengo

    Lol, What can I say…

    The L’s are inexcusable.

  73. iamtheone Says:

    Glazers, hear your customers?

You wont for long if YOU dont fix this.

To quote the coach, this is a performance based league in a recent personel decision.

  74. Illuminati Says:

Look, we all know Schiano is kind of a douche that buys into his own little philosophy before anyone else does.

I just think it’s unfair to judge a man without giving him a chance to realize his vision.

Freeman was not Schiano’s vision. Glennon is. And, so far, I have to say Glennon looks to have way more fire and football savvy than Freeman ever had.

Coaches become inextricably tied to their QBs. Freeman was foisted on Schiano. Now that Glennon is behind the wheel, things could be way different.

Basically, Schiano’s tenure as a real coach only started when Glennon became the starter.

  75. richmondtxbucsfan Says:

    Lovie! Lovie! Lovie!

  76. Eric Says:

We’re not “loaded with talent” except in some fantasy universe where Mark Dominik is competent.

Here in reality he has put together a very bad football team in his fifth year at the helm.

Naturally the coaching sucks, chosen by Mark Dominik also.

And, our defense also ain’t good. Not at all.

Sad state of the Bucs. Worse since before Tony.

  77. buc4lyfe Says:

We’ve gone from 9th ranked offense to 31th AFTER a whole off-season of evaluation and two weeks to prepare for the 31st ranked defense and he was worried about who’s the future at quarterback! lol the season is already over so why stick with this guy that clearly can’t coach….chip Kelly clearly has a vision because he implemented it immediately. He got out coached again by a rookie, no halftime adjustments no vision. People kept bragging about our defense but wrong again. We have good defensive players not a good defense because the scheme is stupid…playing off the receiver 5 yards in the Damn redzone even thought it didn’t work against the cardinals. Just like the offense teams figured out the defense and they refuse to get creative like I don’t know man press coverage. Whatever schiano is garbage and I love to say I told you so, so I will. QUARTERBACK IS NOT THE ISSUE, GLENNON IS CLEARLY AN UPGRADE BUT PLAYCALLING SUCKS ON OFFENSE AND DEFENSE

  78. Harry Says:

First the good – Glennon was not too bad, made some very nice throws. VJ looked good again (they said they were working together, apparently they did). Even Dougie had his moments…

But the coaching is awful; a lot of talent on the D and they got burned continuously. Revis was scorched by Jackson, I assume the safety was supposed to pick him up…? Why are the other teams RB always able to get yards when EVERYONE knows he is getting the ball at the end of the game, but we can’t get Martin loose prior to this game? How does a F&%king back up QB get a 133+ QB rating????? How do the Bucs get all these freaking STUPID penalties at the worst times (like 4th freaking down with a minute to go – plus many others)???

There are so many more things it is ridiculous to waste time on them. I believe in giving someone the benefit of a doubt, but this guy is so over his head it is beyond question. Does that answer your question Illuminati?

  79. PRBucFan Says:

It’s real frustrating that when the defense is on the offense is off and that when the offense is on the defense is off.

That’s the most mind boggling thing for me.

Our defense has been stellar the play calling defensively was out-witted by the Eagles offensive play calling today.

I also think that after Revis’s injury in toward the end of the game that man coverage was no longer an option.

  80. PRBucFan Says:

Yes we are Eric, plain and simple.

  81. chickster Says:

I think the players will quit now this is a mess and I am done

  82. Nate Says:

13 points total in the second half of the games this season, with only 1 touchdown and 2 field goals is embarrassing.

  83. k1ngadroc Says:

    ^^^that is absolutely not correct^^^

  84. chickster Says:

This glennen praise is not worth while wait until a real defence get to him wow what loosers

  85. Couch Fan Says:

I’m just gonna sit back and enjoy the rest of the season. I’m for giving Schiano more time but i think he’s as good as gone now. Hopefully our next HC is offensive minded.

  86. Mr. Patrick Says:

Buc’s may have the most overrated and overpaid O-Line in NFL. Is the trade deadline coming?

  87. stvcl Says:

Will another one walk the plank? After being so hopeful at the beginning of the year this season is over. Stay tuned Bucs fans…I’m sure this won’t take long.

  88. Hawaiian Buc Says:

It’s not the lack of talent. We have talent. Revis, Goldson, David, GMC, Martin, Jackson just to name a few. You probably thought KC had no talent too. Funny what a coach can do.

  89. AceOfAerospace Says:

I’m no expert and don’t profess to be but I believe Schiano is fired within 48 hours. 1-17 is unexceptable. The vast number of penalties falls on the coaches lap, period. We’ll coached teams do not make this many penalties week in and week out.

  90. Eric Says:

1-10 does not equate to “loaded with talent”

    Far from it.

The eagles have more and they are middle of the road at best.

Glazer boys, your GM stinks. I know he’s your lap dog and does whatever you want without question – and probably saved you money – but this team is going absolutely nowhere with him in charge. Do us all a huge favor and get rid of the man, and his horrific coach too.

  91. Pewter Bullion Says:

Schiano, it would behoove you to start taking all of your personal pictures off of your office wall & desk NOW.

That way you’ll be better prepared for your “transition back to college” where you BELONG.

It’s been known to rain often in Tampa during autumn. When the axe falls, I’d hate to see you have to pack up all of your stuff in the middle of a rainstorm during the night like Tony Dungy (A REAL COACH).

On second thought, I WOULD like to see that.

Keep plugging along with your spy cams, secrecy, lies, and misuse of talent.

When you finally leave Tampa, we will add a footnote to Bucs history next to your name as “MEDIOCRE AT BEST”…

Back to PISScataway, NJ you go…

  92. Tampabaybuctfan Says:

Glennon couldn’t win the game for us today…but he certainly didn’t lose it. Our pass defense looked like last year’s…and although we put pressure on Foles at times….I think only one sack & that was LVD…..where are our DEs?
We got outcoached and outplayed today.
Isn’t it odd that when our offense finally starts to wake up our defense fails?
I know most want Schiano fired now, but other than throwing the carcass at the hungry lions…what good wil it really do. If he loses the locker room & the team quits on him, then…firing is in order.

  93. toy4life Says:

    Is schiano fired yet?

  94. Eric Says:

    Our oline stinks
We got basically one receiver and average number two in Willams
Very good running back but just one
    No tight end
Our QB is hardly among the talented by nfl standards

Our dine has a great player in Gerald otherwise iffy
    Linebackers maybe slightly above average.
Secondary just got shredded by Foles and has given up huge plays in close losses.

    What great talent???

All nfl teams have a handful of very good players including jacksonville. The teams we get beat by each week have more than we do. And better coaching.

  95. 911bucs Says:

I’m changing my tune as well. Schiano needs to go. It’s going to be a shame if we continue to lose and have a good draft pick next year. Then that pick won’t be coached properly.

  96. Jbeachbuc Says:

Cool thing about the section of the 4pm local broadcast is getting too watch Talib’s fast Ascension into the Revis/Sherman convo 🙂

  97. PRBucFan Says:

Genius, just because one has talent doesn’t mean one is guaranteed to win.

Stop making yourself look like a fool.

  98. jb Says:

Schiano has sapped every bit of enthusiasm from this fan! I KNEW walking into the stadium we were gonna lose, and all this loos today did, was make me realize we won’t win another game until he’s gone.

The big problem beyond that is…that if Dominick’s still here nothing will change, he’ll just end up hiring whatever lameass college coach that will take the job.

But what I do understand is the REAL fans that have been going to RayJay and the Sombrero before it, have had all excitement and enthusiasm fly out the window with every loss and every tidbit that is revealed about what a control freak joke this guy is.

I love how some of you are trying to pass Mike Glennon off as our savior at quarterback. Rest assured, once we get a REAL NFL head coach with the top three draft pick Schiano’s gonna leave us with, we’ll finally be able to draft a real NFL Franchise type quarterback.

    Flame Away……..lmao!!

  99. jb Says:

    loss! lol

  100. gatorbucs77 Says:

Then why did he take the job? Kelly looked at Freeman and turned around and walked away. Oh wait, he took the job because he knew that this would be the only NFL offer to come his way. He took a bad program and made it below average, never won a thing.

Genius, just because one has talent doesn’t mean one is guaranteed to win.

Stop making yourself look like a fool.

    Eric,

Did KC have talent last year at 2-14? How about SF under Singletary?

Firing Dominik (which I know is what you really want) is completely justified. Nobody is free from blame with this debacle. But to say we don’t have talent is stupid

  103. Couch Fan Says:

I swear there is about 2 or 3 people who must comment on about 15 different names. They all say the same idiotic thing, which just happens to be a lie. Lol, oh well. Let the children play I guess.

  104. D-Rome Says:

Of course Joe could not wait to write this column. Looking at your early columns you were just setting yourself up, hoping the Bucs would lose, so you can keep pushing your agenda towards the coach.

Just so you know it’s common for journalists to have a few articles or posts ready to go in case a certain event happens especially in sports or elections. It’s humorous when the wrong article is published on occasion.

  105. Eric Says:

    @hawaiian,

Welll I suppose to be fair about it I have to say the talent level is uncertain, cause we don’t know without a good coach. Your point is well taken.

But it’s also true this trumpeting all our “loads of talent” is unproven. We might be the 49ers and KC or not.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

    Thank You!!
How can ANYONE that calls themselves a BUC FAN, defend the indefensible of Schiano’s nonsensical schemes and archaic coaching? HOW????

I know right LoL. I see the poon of all poons infamous for all his usernames and drunken unintelligible rants has made an appearance, no doubt after posting with a couple other usernames prior. It’s pretty comical lol. He hasn’t yet realized though that I no longer will give him the pleasure of a response. Unless it’s to call out his wishy washy ass on a new username. He’s easy to spot lol.

    Thank’s Hawaiian, point made 😀

  109. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Eric,

I don’t know if you can say it’s unproven. We are loaded with Pro Bowlers, which seems to me would mean that they are proven. That doesn’t even count future pro bowlers in David, Foster, and Barron. It’s about having a coach that can pull all that talent together. We sure don’t have that.

  110. ed Says:

You look at this team every week there are individual players that flat out play badly and help the team lose. Today there were 3 players that absolutely sucked, in no particular order: Jonathan Banks lets a benchwarmer like Riley Cooper catch a 5 yard pass, misses the easy tackle and he’s running away like Joe Jurvecious. Jeremy Zuhtah’s 2 holding penalties that take away drives. Underwood, giving up on a perfectly throw.slant and Eagle DB getting the easy pick.

When you have individual players making mistakes every week you will lose. Enough has been said about Shiano, yes he is over his head, yes he js a really bad game planner.

The real issue is that this team continues to beat itself but not playing smart football and as the head guy its Shiano’s job to put players on the field that execute.

Schiano has sapped every bit of enthusiasm from this fan!

    —————–

I’m actually surprised that I even WATCHED the game. After the 4th week loss I officially “tuned out” from the Bucs.

This is coming from a guy who during the offseason, soaked up every little tidbit I could about the Bucs.

If a Bucs player farted in the wrong direction against the wind, I was trying to figure out “why?”…

Now I could really care less, because I realize that the problem is with the coach. As long as Schiano is leading, the Bucs are no longer worth my time. I don’t even follow the NFL as much anymore…

I’ll watch the BUC games (on TV, I will no longer buy a ticket) but I will also no longer be INVESTED DURING the week, like I was before.

    It’s not worth it…

  112. coach80m Says:

Glennon is not the answer. He was thoroughly overwhelmed in the second half especially near the end of the game. He is in a difficult position brought on by a coach who is in over his head. But at least he was in control of his emotions today on the sidelines, which is very unusual; usually he is freaking out, or screaming at somebody. By the way, where has Claiborne been lately. I will have to watch the game again later, and see if I can find out for myself.

  113. Pete 422 Says:

I agree 100% Joe. A very indisciplined team indeed. Those holding calls ( I remember 3) killed drives inside the Eagles 30 were the difference in my mind. This is too talented of a team to be 0-5, all the more reason Schiano has to go. The sooner the better.

  114. ColdBuc69 Says:

    0-5 good God 🙁
After Freeman was given no support since the end of the season last year, and then Schiano picked the 6th rated QB in the 3rd round( his Guy). That was the end of Freeman in the Bucs long term goals, but was told he would have the year to prove himself, which in Schiano eyes are 3 games. As the ship wreck continues we will now have another Head coach and a rookie QB that he never picked.
    Proven coach
    Dungy= success
    Gruden= success
    Unproven coach
    Morris = disaster
    Schiano=disaster

    Solution = LOVIE SMITH

The talent on this team is too good to be coached by clowns. If we can find a guy a guy who can build an offense like they’ve done in Indianapolis or SF that’d be just great. Unfortunately i doubt their oc’s will be leaving

  117. Kreator Says:

The jury’s gonna be out on glennon for a while; however it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out Shiano is getting out coached every game.

  118. Thomas Medina Says:

The coach is supposed to put his players in a position to succeed. The Bucs are unprepared to start every game, then make no halftime adjustments. There needs to be a head coaching change.
