Well said. That is exactly what I wrote. Its not that Glennon gives us the best chance to win. Its that we know what we have in Free, and he is not our future. So we need to find out what we have in Glennon.

  2. Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

LOL, Freeman would have given us the best chance to lose, IMHO.
A win tomorrow stops all the negative press about Tampa.
I think we will beat Arizona, but like PJ Fleck said, we need to address our offensive scheme.

  3. buc4life24 Says:

EXACTLY!! We will know which direction to go in the off season. May create a spark on the offense as well. Who knows?!

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Advantages to timing…..

    Possible Freeman Trade
Glennon debut at home against a weak team with defensive injuries
    Bye week adjustments for Glennon
Shake things up while there is still a chance

  5. Walter Says:

Not even sure if I should watch the beating Glennon is going to receive tomorrow.

  6. Splengo Says:

Ok, I buy the look and see theory. But what coach will do the looking in the offseason? I see the Cards, Bills, and maybe the Eagles as wins this year. Does anybody really think that after a 7-9 season and a possible 3-13 season the Glazers are going to let this guy ruin another QB after spending a fortune on a win-now team?

Please! The guy is going to make Morris look like a Lombardi with one giant freckle. CBSSports and WalterFootball has us picking 2nd in the 2014 draft. This look and see experiment is exactly how the Frankenstein monster was created. Lol

Walter, I’ve been wondering the same thing. I think we agree on this. I respect Troy Aikman. He’s obviously not a Freeman fan & could probably break it down why, play by play. Freeman’s numbers gave this organization the ammunition it needed to justify making this move to Glennon. But the Cardinals have a lot of talent, not as weak as people want to believe, as the Bucs have talent & are not as “weak” as they might be perceived, but each team’s weaknesses don’t exactly cancel each other out. It’s all about matchups, which I give the advantage to the Cardinals, no penalties, which the Bucs have had many, no turnovers, which could be the difference. It’s surprising that Troy isn’t down on starting Glennon right now. Even Troy struggled as a rookie. IF Freeman gets traded, the Bucs will easily be the losers in that deal. Glennon is far from ready. That’s what we will find out.

  8. Sharon Says:

Kind of like the beating the freemanite a have been taking lOL

  9. Mr Lucky Says:

Sorry but Freeman couldn’t generate any excitement or energy on the team and that is EXACTLY what a QB needs to do.

Do I believe the Bucs win tomorrow? Nope; but hey I hope I’m proven wrong.

Remember Shawn King was only a rookie and he took the team to the playoffs – even with his “small hands” (hopefully Glennon won’t let the ball ‘slip’ out when attempting to pass.

Let’s face it folks, it’s time for the defense to step it up and win a game for the team. It’s time for Dungy ball!

  10. Barry Says:

    Cardinals 35 Buccaneers 6

  11. Tony Says:

Great analysis Splengo, as always. Oh, and funny.

  12. OviedoBucsFan Says:

Trade Freeman to Vikings for Jared Allen who is also in the final year of his contract and clears salary cap space for salary cap strapped Vikings.

  13. OviedoBucsFan Says:

Freeman for Allen……………..Can play the position currently vacated by Daquan Bowers.

  14. Chad Says:

    @barry-

Really? Have you seen our kicker, no way we get two field goals. Lol

  15. JEB Buc Says:

Barry. Wrong website, you clearly typed in cardsfan not bucsfan…please refrain

  16. TrueBucFan5599 Says:

He wasn’t talking about 2 field goals. We will score a defensive td but our kicker misses the extra point

  17. McBucs Says:

Support your team and stop with the loser mentality. Glennon may come in and play well, no one really knows.
