Dashon Goldson Will Visit Tampa Bay

March 12th, 2013

The Bucs will court superstar 49ers free agent safety Dashon Goldson in person, so Twittered BSPN NFL insider Adam Schefter moments ago after the free agency bell has rung on the 2013 offseason.

@AdamSchefter – 49ers free-agent safety Dashon Goldson is scheduling a visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For those living in a cave without NFL Network or NFL games, Goldson is a hard-hitting superstar who made the last two Pro Bowls and will command huge money. He turns 29 in September.

Hopefully, the New Schiano Order will be able to sell him on being the savior of the Bucs’ woeful secondary.

Last year, Team Glazer busted out the corporate jet to pick up Vincent Jackson and Carl Nicks to woo them in Tampa. Joe expects Goldson will get the same treatment.

  7. Pete 422 Says:

Don’t let him leave without signing a contract.

  8. Buddah Says:

The Dominator is at it again. He’s never let one leave town unsigned. Revis and Goldson will make us a popular pick for NFC South Champs.

  9. ShutTheBucUp Says:

I love the idea of Goldson and Barron lining up together to punish opposing offenses. Hope we can get a deal done!

  10. Kuriius Booy Says:

Make it happen Bucs. Him and Revis will make me happy with any other mood we make

  13. You Go Joe Says:

Goldson and Barron this would strike fear to any opponents WR.

  14. BigMacAttack Says:

Dom won’t let him outta Tampa without a contract.

  15. Jacko101 Says:

I watched his film he is a bruiser but not a ball hawk like reed. He fits the Shiano Mold but I’m not moved by this deal

  16. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Damn…Revis and Goldson. Dominik rollin’ like a G.

  17. BucFan20 Says:

Put VJ in there to talk to him. He won’t leave.

  18. killian Says:

Tell me about Dumerville being cut by Denver…screw Avril if we could get him!!

  19. Gus Says:

Jacko101 He got the nickname “The Hawk” in san fran for a reason. He is a physical, bruising safety that plays VERY well in single high coverage. Which is what Tampa will ask him to do.

  20. J 2.0 Says:

    Do. Not. Let. Him. Leave.

  21. J 2.0 Says:

Who has the link to the website that has all of the NFL reporters twitter feeds again? I can be on my phone for twitter at work.

  22. ElioT Says:

Tampa should be Golstons first and LAST stop in FA. Sign this dude and let’s get at least two CBs and an OT as well. Maybe re-sign Bennett please???

    Go Bucs!

  23. flmike Says:

According to the man network Air Glazer is in the air and heading west to pick up Goldson

  24. ben Says:

    Bring delanie walker with him

  25. Jacko101 Says:

@ben Walker already signed Buddy to the Titans. And @Gus yes I know his nickname and its because he is the highest and last line of defense, I understand he is good no doubt, he typically lays the wood after the catch is made( not a bad thing), but I’m talking about the hawk that is there to contest the catch ya know?

  26. Gus Says:

I know what you mean and I think Goldson is just too good to pass up

  27. White Tiger Says:

Dominik Wally would be a Rock Star if he landed Goldson, Revis and Avril…

…and maybe some questions about the Aqib Taliban trade would be answered if Mallet were also added via trade…?

In my mind, a 2 this year for Revis would be great…and hopefully (maybe) they’re are some fish hooks leftover from the Taliban trade that help acquire Mallet for some proper competition for Freeman!?

This is better than the draft!

Dominik has played his salary cap, two drafts, and two FA periods like a BOSS!
