Special Teams Has Schiano “Very Perturbed”

You want to piss off Greg Schiano? Either mess with the thermostats, fumble the football, or allow a blocked field goal.
Today at One Buc Palace, Schiano said he’s “very perturbed” by special teams failures this season, specifically two fouls for roughing the kicker (Adam Hayward against Oakland and, Joe presumes, Dekoda Watson against Dallas), and the Raiders’ blocked field goal last weekend.
“I don’t gloss over it. I’ll tell you that. I’m very perturbed by some of the things in the kicking game that have happened that shouldn’t happen,” Schiano said. “There’s no reason for a blocked field goal. I don’t care how great an effort Oakland made. That does not happen, and it did.”
Joe’s notes say the blocked field goal primarily was Jeremy Trueblood’s fault, as Lamarr Houston busted through between Jeremy Zuttah and Trueblood. (Here’s the video.) Trueblood got stood up at the line of scrimmage awfully fast. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s still in that role come Sunday.

I will be amazed if trueblood is still a Buc come April time.
If we resign him for next to minimum then he’d be decent depth.

Trueblood got knock in the backfield Joe. That’s pitful for a once starter for 5yrs. A 6’9 300lb linemen C’mon man! Looks like he did the ol olay. JT might be a little angry. He took a pay cut then got his starting job took. Wow. Look at the field goal Connor missed Trueblood gave the same effort.
Joe it’s kinda bias to rub tarnard jacksons’s name in the dirt and hold Ahmad Black hand through his pot case. I will say it again if tjax was taking hits off the bong he was better then biggers/mylew/wright/mack/grimm and sean jones on a high day. Im not defending drug use in sports so don’t go there. I agree with you and many others advice. Make millions get high as you want after its over.

I believe it’s almost to late to save his job for another year here in Tampa. It’s almost like when they cut his pay , he cut his play. Very dangerous way to go. Joe has he been practicing on the line this week? Time to fish or cut bait. Go Bucs!
