I recommend passing on every play against the Skins. Their D Back situation is horrid, they are extremely vulnerable.

  2. @eric Says:

tough back to back NFC East games and on the road…they need that 1st win badly

  3. @eric Says:

put your big boys shoes up and lace em up……see what we’re made of right away…GO BUCS!!!!!!

  4. Joe Says:

Hhhmmm… wonder why that might be? 🙂

  5. bucbelevr Says:

The “Bye” sucks………..and if we’re not careful, could start 0-3. Objectively.

Mid season to end, a little better. Pretty much, no Primetime games, other than 1 NFL Network game at Vikings (surprise, surprise)…….and those with Brighthouse ………….well, we know……………about that.

PLEASE BRING ON TRICH, he could influence some things,………..

  6. princespanky Says:

I’m not a big fan of having the Falcons and Saints on the road for 2 of the last 3 weeks of the season but at least they tossed the Rams in between at home.

  7. RCH Says:

Its almost laid out the same way as 09 since we have an early bye and playing a back to back to back of the NFC East up front. Hope we can sell out some games this year without having any primetime games at home.

  8. eric Says:

    No Uconn?

    Uh oh.

  9. jb Says:

I don’t like to have to keep playing in Atlanta the last game of the season! Hopefully we’ll hold ’em under 42 points………..in the first half, this time!

  10. canadianbuc Says:

    Great no primetime games.

  11. Justin R Says:

Week 1 vs Panthers is going to be a crucial game. Glad to be opening up at home. Wish bye week was later but overall looks good

  12. eric Says:

Losing streak to 13 before playing rah….

    Ought to be interesting.

  13. Macabee Says:

We’re going to need a heavy dose of discipline with a lot of fundamentals plus we are going to have to be our best selves to prevent going 0-4 before the bye. While we’re giving Schiano all the kudos for his first practice, here’s where he gets to earn it. Go Bucs, I’m with you all the way…that is up until the bye!

  14. bucbelevr Says:

Yikes……………..Looking back over it, (unless teams are drastically different from 2011 performance)…………..seriously think we come in, at 7-9.

    I’m a HUGE “Bucbelevr”……and I think, unfortunately, that 7-9 is a real possibility.

    7-9??…………… 🙁

  15. MikeNice Says:

We have to win against the Panthers..home opener..have to set the town for the season. Go Bucs!

  16. eric Says:

Does Carolina still have that Cam newton guy?

    Grown man team week 2…….

  17. bucbelevr Says:

🙂 Can’t we play the Browns twice?? 🙂

And she’s not Rachel Watson quality up there, right?!??? Not bad. If it’s all hers, BUT……….with the grim schedule, MAYBE…….some Rachel Watson “beach” pictures…….”Joe” @ admin…….???????

    @ admin?????????

  18. simeon Says:

bye in week 5 means=slap in the face and nobody cares about the bucs. Lets prove them wrong.

  19. bucbelevr Says:

Kinda makes you think about real “importance” of draft (and picks) in 2012 season. Maybe 2013???……..7-9 in 2012?

  20. canadianbuc Says:

    @simeon why?

  21. Larry Says:

December 2nd in Denver could be cold and wet! At least not in Green Bay the last week or two.

  22. Big Picture Guy Says:

I’ll be in Altanta Dec 30th with quite a few Tampa transplants.

To quote Bart Scott: “CAN’T WAIT!!”

  23. MikeWilliamsLiver Says:

I like the schedule b/c nowhere does it say “London, England” and love RG3 coming to Tampa plus the Bucs D-Line will end Payton Manning’s dismal comeback

  24. eric Says:

Both mannings. Brees. Newton. Rivers. RG III.

Ok joe your right. Draft the corner.

  25. Joe Says:

    eric:

Both mannings. Brees. Newton. Rivers. RG III.

Ok joe your right. Draft the corner.

Yup, and you forgot Matty Ice as well.

That’s 10 games right there with strong quarterbacks. With the secondary the Bucs have, at best you are looking at 2-8 against those guys.

  26. 941-Bucs Says:

7-9 or 8-8 this year would be fine with me. I don’t want this team to pull a 2010 and over achieve thus raising our expectation right off the bat.

We all knew going into this year with a new regime it was another rebuild type year. The team was left in worst condition then when it was found. Plus as bad as i wanna win NOW. We could really use the help of being closer to the top half of next years draft to fill the final few pieces to take us on Super Bowl runs.

At least that’s my thought. But i know how the NFL works now… It’s a “Not For Long” You either Win and win now or hit the highway.

Looking at it carefully i see us with an 8-8 record by seasons end. IF we can split our division games right down the middle. It’s a rough schedule but we should have at least a competitive product on the field this year.

  27. 941-Bucs Says:

    @ Joe …

Don’t forget Romo and Vick too.

  28. 941-Bucs Says:

Literally every team (minus the Chiefs) have an outstanding QB. The Chiefs have an outstanding Run Game.

I’m Sorry i love Richardson too. But we need to go all defense all the way in the draft and try to stop some of these other power houses. I just don’t see Freeman and our offense being able to out shoot all these elite QB’s and their respective potent offenses in a single season. We NEED Defense Badly right now.

  29. 941-Bucs Says:

    I’m Sorry i almost forgot 2 teams.

Raiders…Who have Palmer=Meh and the Vikings who have A.P, who kind of makes up for the lack of other talent.

  30. eric Says:

    Bradford isnt a slouch!

  31. eric Says:

No wonder tockstar got some fools gold.

  32. 941-Bucs Says:

    @ eric

I semi agree. but just like with Freeman.. After last year. I’m Not so sure. S. Jackson had to carry that team on his back. Bradford didn’t seem to be able to do much last year. But i still give him some credit i think he will end up being a great QB in his career.

  33. Papawill13 Says:

Let me get this right? The Bucs play the Saints at home on Sunday then play the Vikings on the road on Thursday then have to travel across the country to play the Raiders?

  34. Papawill13 Says:

The only good thing about this schedule IMO is ending the season in Atlanta, last year was fun (mostly because I already knew the Bucs would lose bad and the fact we went to the Peach Bowl the night before).

  35. bucbelevr Says:

    @Papawill……

Like PFT said, NFL scheduled all 32 teams having a “short week” game, like Bucs do on Oct. 25th, at Minnesota, after Sunday at home with Saints. All teams, have one of those.

Plus Oakland’s game is like 10 days later………

  36. ElioT Says:

That’s a rough start and a tough season period. The Bucs better be “ready to deal” cause it’s in the frying pan right away.

The realist in me thinks they’ll be lucky to end at .500…

That being said, I hope they smash everybody! Go Bucs!!!

  37. bucbelevr Says:

Overall, like others have said, because Bucs are (thought of like they are), we were disrespected big-time with our Bye week.

Lookin tough overall, only feelin good about Chiefs, Rams, and maybe Vikings games. Other than that………….wow.

  38. Jerry Says:

    6-10 at best.

  39. Rickster Says:

Dude!! Every qb we will play is elite, or a high first rounder!
Except for cassel, who we dont really know much about from last season, and palmer who started in the middle of the season, and once was pretty damn good….
    Anybody still want t-rich?

  40. 941-Bucs Says:

Not me… Defense all the way in the draft this year for the win !!!

  41. patrickbucs Says:

    @bucbelevr@simeon

The new darlings of the NFL (Detroit Lions) have a week 5 bye week to go along with 5 nationally televised games. I wouldn’t read to much into that. I recall the very popular Bucs in the late 90’s and early 2000’s having at least 1 bye week in week 3 or 4.

It’s a very tough schedule that is for sure. Hopefully this team is able to get out of the gate a bit and continue to build and get better throughout the season. NOt going to predict anything for them at least until training camp starts.

  42. quiet8302 Says:

I’m calling it 1st 11-5 and we win the NFC South!!!! GO BUCS!!!!!

  43. Patrick Says:

We need defense first, but Trent Richardson seems like a much better than Claiborne. I think he’s a much safer pick.

I don’t know, I keep going back and forth on who I think we should pick.

  44. Papawill13 Says:

For the record, 2012 NFL teams that play a Short week on the road, followed by another Road Trip and why the Bucs Unique in their schedule
    * Thanksgiving game, I do not count this as it happens EVERY year…
Tampa – At Minn, At Oak
NE – *At NYJ, At Miami
Hou – *At Det, At Tenn
CIN – At Phi, At Pit
Cle – At NYG, At Balt
Pit – At Cin, At Tenn
Ind – At Jax, At NE
KC – At SD, At Pitt(Mon)
NYG – At Car, At PHI
NO – At Atl, At NYG
Sea – At SF, At Det
Den – At Oak, At Balt

Now if you go down the list you will notice one team has no Division games in this 2 game fiasco. Only Denver comes close to the travel in uneven weeks of football.

Tampa not only has to travel the farthest (which mean MORE days on the road, for instance when do you think the Bengals get on a Plane to travel to the Eagles and Steelers, they might as well take a Bus or Train) they also do not get to play a division opponent. In it Much easier to prepare for a Division opponent in 3 days than a team you might play every 4 years.

This is the 2nd year in a row the NFL has put every road game for the Bucs at the worst time with NO help around it. Why could they not put they not put the Rams and Redskins to sandwich those two road game while replacing At Oakland with At Carolina?

    Every team here will get

  45. Papawill13 Says:

I wish there was an Edit button (oh well), IMO this schedule looks much more manageable and a heck of a lot fairer.

    Carolina
    At NewYorkGiants
    At Dallas
    New Orleans
    BYE
    Chiefs
    Washington
    At Minnesota
    At Carolina
    St. Louis
    At Oakland
    Atlanta
    At Denver
    Philadelphia
    At New Orleans
    San Diego
    At Atlanta

  46. CannuckBuc Says:

Hey all you guys crying over the quality QBs we will see this year and wanting MC wouldn’t be nice to keep them off the field with a great run game GO TR
