Bucs Return To Practice Tomorrow

October 25th, 2011

Wondering what the Bucs’ bye week schedule looks like?

Well, Joe’s got a handy dandy email from the Buccaneers laying out what’s next.

The team will practice Wednesday morning (tomorrow) and then get the next five days off before returning for work on Tuesday of next week.

Before you start hyperventilating because you think Raheem Morris is going too soft on his young squad, there are league rules in place that demand players get a certain number of consecutive days off. How many that is, Joe doesn’t know.

As for Joe, as regular readers know, there’s no bye week on these pages. Joe brings it every day, and Joe is planning a couple of bye week surprises.

New collective bargaining agreement requires coaches to give their team at least 4 consecutive days off, with 2 of those days being the weekend. Teams coming off their bye week have not faired well so far this season.

  2. Mauha Deeb Says:

I’m imaging a little break is needed after a week away from family in another country. I doubt the coaching staff is getting much of a break anyways. At least not Morris and Olsen.

    No complaints here.

I seriously hope the staff is dissecting every bit of game film they have this seasonso far and figure out a way to get this team moving. Lets not waste this bye week just lounging around the house like everything is all right, lets get some work done because the second half of the season is critical.

These new rules seem to be detrimental to younger up and coming teams. Less practice time, less hitting, etc…

Hopefully Josh and the WRs work a day or two because they need it

My prediction: at least 1 buc gets arrested or violates a keague rule like a drug test or something before the Saints game. I’ll take even money that Talib does something stupid like gets a DUI.

@thomas 2.2 No stupid act Talib could perform could equal the stupidity of the majority of your posts. I’ll take even money that you make another stupid post before the Saints game…..

Thomas 2.2 how can you say that about Talib??? Get it right, the man is going to go postal or something. Probably road rage like whoever that Buc years ago was who attacked someone at a Taco Bell drive through. Alchohol is not his gig its stupidity. He drinks from the fountain of it. The guy has anger management issues. At this point I am hoping he get in an on field fight with a big tight end like Mercedel Louis who promptly knocks him out and then hopefully Goodell will suspend him for the year. Thats how bad I think we need to dump him. His negative plays at this point way outweigh his positive ones and I am not even going to include his thuggish character. The most disgusting thing was when Raheem went over and whispered in his ear after the personal foul. What was he saying “I got your back man just don’t cuss at me in front of the press again.”

  8. Brad Says:

You will win that bet Bobby. I haven’t seen a post from Thomas that wasn’t stupid. As far as days off, I really hope Raheem is not giving these guys an extra day off. That’s the last thing this team needs. I think the soft training camp and the new practice rules without being able to practice with pads is ruining not only the Bucs but the NFL as a whole. Goodell has ruined the game. I have turned more games off this season than I have the entire time I’ve been watching football. (many years).

They are down to one center and they let go of the long snapper. whats going on over there? Earnest Graham is on ir who’s going to fill the void. a ball that gets pulled from a recievers hands is concidered an interception spurlock and Williams both let balls get ripped from thair hands which end up interceptions for Freeman!!!! Williams and Winslow keep dropping passes. everyone is placing the blame on Freeman Flaco faced the same situation last night with the best defence in the league they lost to jacksonville one demensional teams don’t win consistantly

  10. Eric Says:

Getting them a break from Rah is good medicine.

  11. rickster Says:

Is it bad that I kinda hope crybaby k2 gets arrested and suspended for a game? I just think k2’s absence would get Freeman going again…

  12. frige bob Says:

Haha, are Penn and Bennett(?) doing the Tango?
