Raheem Inked Through 2012 Season

January 8th, 2011

Team Glazer has slapped Raheem Morris on the back and inked the head coach to two more years in Tampa, exercising the option on the head coach’s contract, so reports Rick Stroud of the St. Pete Times today.

Stroud claims Raheem will earn $4 million over the 2011 and 2012 seasons, with a shot to up that total to $7 million with incentives. Chump change compared to Jim Harbaugh, but Joe’s not crying for Raheem, who will be just 36 when this deal ends.

Joe’s excited about another two years of core beliefs, being your best self, and mentality before reality. And Joe can’t wait for training camp, when the Bucs again will take off their underwear, put on their big boy pads and put their face on people.

It all seems to be working quite nicely.

Great move! I just hope the entire coaching staff remains with the team throughout Raheem’s tenure! Well maybe D-line coach Wash could be replaced. He is the one coach that has not impressed me.

    Go Bucs!
Go Raheem! Coach of the year!

  2. MVPFreeman Says:

    JOE

Don’t forget, we are young, hungry, and the best team in the NFC.

  3. Patrick Says:

    Great move!

Maybe we can bring Tom Cable to our staff as an assistant? That’d be a good addition

  4. MVPFreeman Says:

    lol^

  5. gitarlvr Says:

Buc You and Thomas are going to run to their mommies and cry when they see the news.

  6. Buc You Says:

Joe, you were right all along. The Glaziers were only going to exercise the option. Those owners are smart and savvy businessmen I tell ya.

For a coach who just went 10-6 and winning with rookies, the owners just got away with murder, paying the poor fella only 4 million over the next 2 years. 🙂 Raheem can earn a few more bucks with incentives.

Raheem absolutely deserves to coach another year going 10-6, but it is apparently clear that the Glaziers know his team won with luck and an easy schedule, while also being concerned about his lackluster attendance draw power. So all they did was exercise his option.

You rah lovers should be pissed about this slap in the face. I’m sure him and Mike Tomlin aren’t celebrating a measly 4 million dollar 2 year option after going 10-6. This is yet another dis to Raheems performance.

  7. Dew Says:

Happy for Rah. Depressed the season is over.

  8. McBuc Says:

    Buc You…You are nuts.

  9. Squadoosh1 Says:

I’m picturing Buc You in his white uniform typing on the community computer in the state mental asylum getting his lifes pleasure on Joe Bucs fan. I have to admire his persistence though no matter how asinine his comments are.
Raheems here to stay buddy….give it up! They will be even better next year as all of these young players mature……can’t wait

  10. Buc You Says:

They should have tore up the current contract and wrote Rah a new one worth more that what the option was for. Now Rah has to worry all next season about sustaining the luck he realized this passed season.

  11. MVPFreeman Says:

    BUCYOU

“…paying the poor fella only 4 million over the next 2 years.”

Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds?

  12. Buc You Says:

Basically with the tougher schedule next year, the Bucs will have a much tougher time. But, Raheem will also have higher expectations. So there is a dilemma rising. In reality, the Bucs could go 8-8 next year and considering the schedule, this would be on par for a young team rebuilding. However, a lot of people will have unrealistic expectations for this team next season and 8-8 would be such a disappointment that the Glaziers would just fire him.

  13. CreamsiclePasties Says:

This team isn’t rebuilding anymore, Buc You. The main pieces are there…..next step is growth

  14. Buc You Says:

That defense needs rebuilding what are you talking about.

So you guys really think the Bucs make the playoffs next year even with the Falcons and Saints overpowering them in their own division?

  15. RustyRhino Says:

    Buc You
Just wanted to know if this is the same type tougher schedule Gruden had after he went 11-5 in 2005 then went 4-12 in 2006 and the expectations where/are the same every season, to get to the Super Bowl. Regardless of who the coach is. Or what team it is. I am glad we have Coach Morris until 2012, we have a young hungry team that wants to get better and Can practice to get better every OTA – Minicamp – Training Camp. Unlike in years past we have had “vets” who for one reason or the other are not required to “work” to get better. Not saying that Winslow & Barber don’t/didn’t get this treatment.
I am looking forward to this next season and the following seasons to come. We now have a good foundation something we have not had since we last went to the Superbowl!

  16. RustyRhino Says:

And Buc You before you go off about Gruden and his “legacy” that great 11-5 season in 2005 followed a 5-11 season in 2004 and that wonderful season followed the exceptional season of 2003 of 7-9.
Hey I am still a Gruden fan he is a good coach, but to hold our current coach to a standard that you can’t hold our previous coach to is laughable. Don’t I recall Gruden getting a new contract as well, one that is still paying him. Or am I just looking through the Kool-Aid pitcher again and it is skewing my recollection of the facts.

  17. Buc You Says:

Why is Gruden making more than Raheem annually for NOT coaching the Bucs, yet Raheem goes 10-6 and is making less than Gruden? That’s the whole point, the glaziers should be paying Raheem more, yet they would rather pay an ex coach more than the current coach. Rah will never get the respect he deserves. I am starting to feel sorry for that guy.

  18. RustyRhino Says:

Jon Gruden 57 wins 55 losses during his tenure as our coach,
    1 Super bowl win
    3 NFC south championships
2 3rd place NFC south finishes
2 4th place NFC south finishes
    in 7 seasons
    Not a bad job?
where was the growth? the new blood to fill in for the lost players?

  19. RustyRhino Says:

I have never had a contract so I can’t really say how this works, but my understanding is that when you sign the contract and it has options for the owners to pick up if they chose, they either will pick it up or they wont. The Glazers did pick up the optional years and have stepped up to the plate. Doing what they said they would do.
Now should Coach Morris again go 10 or 12 wins the next season and they still have him under contract for 2012 they could then decide to lock him up in a bigger contract. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are after all their property to do with as “they” chose.

  20. Buc You Says:

The owners have so little invested in Rah that if he has a losing season next year due to the tougher schedule, he could easily, easily be fired.

  21. Buc You Says:

Essentially the pressure is on him again to win. He’s got to win or risk losing his job.

  22. BamBamBuc Says:

I got what you’re saying, Buc You. If the Glazers really thought Raheem is “all that”, they’d have ripped up the current contract and written a new one worth Harbaugh-type money. They didn’t do that, so they’re essentially saying “do it again”. That’s ok though. I like that he has the “pressure on” to perform again. I don’t think he minds either. He seems to like the pressure to win, he actually puts a lot of that on himself.

In all actuality, the team has done very similar things throughout. Players, management…. all over. They’ve cut the high priced, under-preforming staff and replaced them with younger, hungrier players/staff for a LOT less money. It’s basically an “earn it” team. We will see in another year or so if the Glazers are willing to “pay for it” when these guys earn it. I think they will when the time comes.

I love what Raheem did THIS year, but he has to keep it going to “earn it” next year. Sometimes having to “earn it” keeps guys hungry to win.

  23. Buc You Says:

Now if Rah has the Bucs at a winning record again next year, then I do think the owners will be pressured by Dominic to sign Raheem to a longer term deal.

  24. gitarlvr Says:

Buc You said- “lackluster attendance draw power”

Buc You meant- “white people like me don’t go to Bucs games because we don’t want a black coach”

We don’t need 15 different posts from you Buc You. You have already exposed yourself. Anything else you post on this site at this point is just “blah blah blah”.

Just so you know you mental midget- the actual amount of people not buying tickets just because the coach is black is practically nil. I’m sure there a handful of other total miscreants like you who watch a sport where well over half the players are black but then get upset if the coach isn’t white but most dumbass hicks like you stick to NASCAR and don’t follow football at all. Wouldn’t you be more at home watching the rednecks make left turns all day?

  25. BigMacAttack Says:

Buc You’s crap is really getting old, I tell ya. I mean, how stupid and miserable can one person be. His mommie needs to ween him off that titty and send him to Afghanistan for an education about how to behave like a man, and not a little B-tch. Joe don’t censor me again with that BS incitement garbage. Everybody else does it and B-Y and Thomas don’t contribute anything worth while or positive to the conversation, ever, ever, period, period.

  26. mike56wesley Says:

Buc you ,the question is why would they fire gruden ,dont that mean they didnt care about the money they just wanted him gone?

  27. thomas 2.1 Says:

I think Rah got an UNBELIEVABLE contract for a 13-19 head coach who has never finished higher than third in his division, never made the playoffs and is supposed to be a defensive specialist with two years of bad defenses.

If you can get paid 2 million per for stuttering press conferences and overly, infantile almost excitement over the mundane – then maybe there is financial hope for all of us. Good for him though, you have to congratulate him for pulling the wool over the eyes of many and being paid highly for it.

I still wish that he would pull his pants up at the mall since he is leader of the franchise for two years.

  28. Dew Says:

Is it just me or does Brees’ look like he’s getting shorter and shorter every game he plays? He looked like a midget tonight or it could be my TV.

  29. Joke Says:

“However, a lot of people will have unrealistic expectations for this team next season and 8-8 would be such a disappointment that the Glaziers would just fire him.”

That’s right. Coach turns the team around in his 2nd season, goes 10-6 with young up-and-comers. In season 3, there’s a bit of a letdown and team goes 8-8, misses playoffs. Glazers just fire him and move on, right?

Nope. In season 4, Dungy went 11-5, made the NFC title game and shut down “the greatest show on turf” save one heave from Warner to Ricky Proehl.

The Glazers have an unbelievably quick trigger finger with firing head coaches. The last 2 coaches they fired each had a _winning record_ in his final season. As a fan born in Tampa in the same year as the Bucs, I was 21 goddamn years old before the Bucs had a winning season I can actually remember. I’m still flabbergasted by the idea of firing a coach after a winning season. But as much as I love Dungy, firing him for Gruden wasn’t a great move.

The Glazers are tough bosses. Raheem did a fantastic job, and earned his extension. He’s going to have to keep earning it to stay our coach. What more could he want? What more could we want?

  30. Joke Says:

*firing him for Gruden WAS a great move.

  31. Buc You Says:

    Agreed Thomas, 100%.

Also, didn’t rah say the Bucs were the best team in the NFC and not only didn’t make the playoffs but ended up 3rd in their own division… and wasn’t even the best 10-6 team in the NFC, no they were the worst 10-6 team.

So yeah, getting paid a couple of million with incentives for being a complete buffoon, I would say the Glaziers are being extremely charitable. To even hint at him deserving more means you weren’t paying attention to the good fortune the 2010 easy schedule gave way to the 10-6 record.

Now all he has to do is do it again!

  32. thomas 2.1 Says:

Joke: the bucs went to the nfc title game in 1979 and lost to the rams. also, made the playoffs at least one orther time pre-1997, i think it was 1981. Both times they hav winning records.

yes, there was a 15 year or so drought. we are now on a three year drought, although from reading recent blogs you would think that we are completing a three-peat.

all the gruden-haters would rather finish third in the division and miss the playoffs without a gruden and his arrogance, than make the playoffs and win a three division chammpionships in 6 years with him and his arrogance.

a 10-6 record with a weak-a– schedule doesnt automatically mean that they next year will be better folks. I havve them pegged for third in the division again next year.

  33. Lucas Jackson Says:

What is it that makes someone want to be a hater? Talk about a cry for help (or attention).

  34. Buc You Says:

After watching the saints get beat down tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if they finished 2nd in the division… although, I am pretty sure the saints will be hungrier next year.

The Bucs have the opportunity to be above average next season, so long as they build a defense worth a damn against the run and the offense stays on course.

The weakest link is Raheem Morris though.

Again, we will all find out next season, this should be a fun off season of driving the rah lovers crazy since they thought rah getting his job back was the ultimate prize. Uh, no, the Bucs need to start beating teams with winning records before you claim play offs.

  35. Lucas Jackson Says:

    Case and point. lol

  36. mike56wesley Says:

buc you again i ask,why did the cheap glazers hire rahiem and pay gruden to sit?

  37. SkookumSmitty Says:

They were above average THIS season, Numbnuts…10-6 > 8-8.

    (BucYou).

  38. Brad Says:

How’d you know Rah’s pants were down Thomas 2.1? Were you on your knees?

  39. MJ Says:

“And Joe can’t wait for training camp, when the Bucs again will take off their underwear, put on their big boy pads and put their face on people.”

  40. DCBUCSFAN Says:

    FYI:
When Raheem said the Bucs were the best team in the NFC, he made the statement based on the team’s record. AT THAT TIME, the Bucs DID in fact have the best record in the NFC. And if teams are judged according to their records, he was correct. When their record dictated otherwise, he DID say they were no longer the best team in the NFC.

  41. nick Says:

Buc You is truly a moron and by the way 4 million??? only 4 million

  42. Hawaiian Buc Says:

@Brad: That’s my favorite post I have ever read on this or any other site. Great stuff.

Leave it to Buc You and Thomas, aka dumb and dumber, to dominate a post about Raheem getting an extension. Do you guys have any idea how pathetic you are? Thomas, aren’t you supposed to be getting ready to scout for the Senior Bowl? Glad that you could take time out to give your opinion. Too bad it means squat.

Buc You, first of all, you have no idea if they restructured his contract. Rumor was he was making less than a million a year before. Here’s a quick math lesson for you, 4 million dollars over 2 years is more than 1 million dollars per year. If it is easier for you, you can just ignore the word million, and just concentrate on small numbers (just a little math trick my 6 year old daughter just learned). Second of all, up to 7 million in incentives means he can earn an extra 3 million dollars. I don’t know what the hell you do for a living, but 3 million dollars is not a “few bucks”.

Seriously, why do you two idiots show up on this site? Is it just to irritate all the fans of this team? Is that what your pathetic little lives have come to? Are you happy with being that type of person? Just curious. Neither of you have ever made a completely positive post. Even if you say something positive, there is always a negative statement as well. Why don’t you 2 miserable little trolls go out on a date or something, because you both need a little affection.

  43. Larry Says:

@Buc You – look at the 1972 Dolphins who won 14 of 14 regular season games. How many had a winning record? Only 2. The 1974 Super Bowl winning Steelers didn’t play one team who had a winning record. Its all in the schedule and you beat the teams you need to beat. 10 – 6 should be a playoff bound record in any other year.

  44. Brad Says:

Good stuff Hawiaan Buc!! I had a long post about these two idiots and how Joe should either revoke these idiots or give users the option to ignore users blogs they don’t want to see. For some reason that post was left off.

  45. Thomas 2.2 Says:

Brad: blocking opinions that you disagree will never improve an opinion based product. It screams insecurity and weakness of belief to try to eliminate contrary opinions instead of strongly advocating your position.

If this were a race, the glazers and sheep would be taking the lead with year’s improvement.

However, until these kids compete in a post-season they havent done anything.

Remember, mike will and blount were cheap acquisitions for a reason, some college like behavior could set this offense back, we’ll see!

  46. Brad Says:

@Thomas 2.1. This wil be the only time I respond to anything u say directly. Your blogs don’t have any merit. You and Buc you only have one goal and that’s to say the most dumbass comments is to get a reaction from the true buc fan. Nothing you morons ever say has any merit. I was one of the biggest proponents of the hiring of Morris and Dominik but any normal person can see what a great job both of these guys have done. Any idiot who can’t see that this team is improved and will be in the playoffs for years to come just doesn’t know football. If you can’t see what a talent Williams and Blount are and know what a masterful job Dominik did in landing these guys are just stupid. If you had something worth debating then you and your side kick wouldn’t get blasted by every user on this site. Your comments are not worth any of our time.

  47. Buc You Says:

    🙂

What a bunch of crybabies… Waaaaaaaahhhhhhh, Joooooooooeeeeeeee, ban these guys!!!

Once again, the expected responses were provided above by the overprotecting mother hens of RaheEEEEEEEem!

    🙂

@Brad – Nobody is censoring your comments. But certain foul language is automatically blocked. It’s very easy to igore anyone’s comments. Either Don’t read anything by them, or grow thicker skin. …Joe’s not about to kick anyone out unless they misrepresent Joe and refuse to relent. Or they ignore direct requests from Joe regarding their content, ie: publishing links to Internet feeds of games and simply insulting other commenters, etc.

  49. Brad Says:

No skin problems here Joe.. Now I know the rules I’ll be glad to play in the confines of them. I’m not the only user complaining about certain idiots on this site. And most times I do ignore comments that are so far out there they don’t deserve a response. Just out if curiosity what is your take on buc you and Thomas 2.1?

  50. RustyRhino Says:

Maybe just maybe the two “joe’s” are Buc You & Thomas 2.1 who post comments to see what reaction it gets so more posts are had by this site……Maybe…

  51. Brad Says:

I’d would hope if you call me out that users that 90% of all other users complain about get called into the principals office as well.

  52. Brad Says:

Maybe Rusty.. I know radio hosts do the same thing. So just maybe….

  53. admin Says:

    Joe here,

First, nobody got called into the principal’s office. Joe just had the time to answer a question that has been asked by many, as Brad mentioned.

Joe doesn’t write comments under other names. Frankly, Joe has no time. Way too busy with the demands of real life, real jobs and this site to invest time in alter egos.

Joe really has no opinion on Buc You or Thomas. 2.1. There are all kinds out there. As long as you cheer for the Bucs when the ball kicks off on Sundays, you’re a fan in Joe’s book.

  54. gitarlvr Says:

And Joe’s not about to ban anybody for blatant open racism either… Buc You hates Raheem because he’s black and hates the Glazer family because they are Jewish. Joe KNOWS those are his motivations and yet has no problem letting a total d-bag like that completely take over entire threads like he has this one.

  55. admin Says:

    Joe here,

@gitarlvr – You’re completely inaccurate. First, Joe has banned several people for racist commentary. Second, show Joe where Buc You has crossed a line and Joe will be happy to review. There’s surely nothing in this thread. Buc You has been warned for possibly dancing a line at times. And it seems he’s dialed it back.

As far as saying Joe “knows” of sinister motives held by Buc You and Thomas 2.1., that’s not accurate. You don’t get to misrepresent Joe on this board.

  56. Buc You Says:

Hey girlavatar, you personally requested for Buc You and Thomas to provide feedback at the beginning of this comment thread.

Then when comments are left, you call them racists.

Why would throw rocks at a hornets nest and then cry to the admin that your agenda is getting stung?

  57. gitarlvr Says:

Clearly you just chose to forget about the whole “backing a j into a corner” comment. I guess since Buc You, for some reason, substituted the first letter of that ethnic groups name in for the entire name, Joe considers that merely “dancing a line” rather than explicit and gross anti-semitism.

  58. admin Says:

    Joe here,

@gitarlvr – First, Joe will need to see a link and Joe doesn’t recall that post. Second, Joe has never heard of any ethinic group, Jewish, Japanese or otherwise referred to as a “j.” And Joe has never heard of the phrase you referenced that Buc You used. And Joe’s lived all over the country. As Joe wrote when Eric used the term “sandcamel,” Joe’s not about to ban anyone for a perceived sinister, racist comment that Joe’s never heard of and is not in any slang/hate dictionary that Joe’s seen.

Joe’s happy to have a quick trigger finger on any racists. The goodbye button has been clicked many times, more than you know. Plenty of newcomers come to the party with that rhetoric.

  59. Buc You Says:

I promise to never post a comment again, so long as no one brings up the Buc You character in their comments.

Girlavatar, you called Buc You out. Why are you crying to the admin? You requested him to comment.

  60. Joe Says:

Maybe just maybe the two “joe’s” are Buc You & Thomas 2.1 who post comments to see what reaction it gets so more posts are had by this site……Maybe…

LOL So Joe was going to ban himself? That’s rich. 🙂

  61. Joe Says:

    Brad:

Joe doesn’t see a problem with Thomas. Look, this is a blog. Not everyone has to think like everyone else.

Joe called out Buc You for crossing the line before, roughly a month ago, and from Joe can tell Buc You has behaved himself. Buc You seems to be more of a Dixie Chicks fan in sheep’s clothing.

  62. Buc You Says:

I DO have a hard on for Matt Ryan 🙂

I think I might start taking the approach of trying to get these other folks to think just like me. Here goes my mind control angle.

Joe, these posters aren’t agreeing with me! I am growing tired of comments that challenge my thoughts on the Buccaneers. Joe, everyone else agrees with me, why don’t you just go ahead and ban the guys who challenge me. You should be able to figure them out, and if you can’t, I will outline a list of posters who I feel threaten my perspective.

Damn you Joe! I’m soooooo angry. Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhh.

  63. McBuc Says:

Do not ban Thomas or Buc…They keep the sight interesting wqith their crazy antics. I almost never agree with them, but that is what it is all about. They add to the fun.

  64. RustyRhino Says:

Oh yeah it is fun to read their rants and to wonder what side of the line they live on that is very true!
As for me I have been a Buc fan since 1975 when I moved to St. Pete and learned of the expansion team going to start the next season. I have personally been to the old sombrero plenty of times and had to sit next to some other teams fan’s. It make’s me no difference what they say as is the same for the posters here who don’t like the coach don’t like the owners (you should have been a fan when the previous owners where here) Time and again we have a rough stretch and we have people who have their own view of how things would be better IF….
It is what makes the world go round….
This is the best site that I have found for buccaneer news and opinions. (thanks Joe’s) so I will keep coming and if I feel the need to disagree with posters who have a different opinion than mine fine. Thanks for letting me vent, my Dr. tells me it is much better than holding it inside…..

    Really???

  66. BigMacAttack Says:

Joe if I might chime in.
You say you won’t censor comments unless it hurts Joe, blah, blah, blah, but that isn’t true. You censored me last week, twice I think for telling Beavis and Butthead to suck it, which as haters they totally deserved. I’ll tell you something Joe, and you would be wise to listen. Your site is very good, much like a very hot club with great music and hot girls. When you have idiots like these two D bags, whose purpose is only to argue, spew venom and hate on the coach, it makes me not want to come around. I can’t speak for anyone else, and dude you know I’ve been here for a long time. These morons are not helping your cause and just like a Hot Club, you can have a couple loud mouth stinky patrons that frequent the place annoying everyone they can and people stop coming. Hire a lousy DJ and the same result. Look man, Steve White was awesome and YOU ALLOWED one person to drive him away. It’s you gig, do what you want, but if either of those two little punks started saying that crap in front of me at the game, somebody’s gonna get a beat down, because it would be fist city all the way. Here they’re safe as long as you continue to protect them. Joe, they suck and that’s all I have to say about that. Wise up Joe.

  67. BigMacAttack Says:

Computer prob, double post and I don’t care.

  68. admin Says:

    Joe here,

@BigMac – Censoring a comment for bad language or a comment that directly insutls others where it has little or nothing to do with football is done all the time here. Joe was explaining why some get banned, not censored.

Nobody drove Steve White away. He wanted to write on his own blog and now he’s pursuing a coaching career again. …As for the people that don’t like the head coach, so it goes for nearly every team, even with winning coaches. Crap, a huge number or Rays fans think the manager sucks and he’s had great teams two out of the last three years with a low payroll. …That’s the way it goes among fans of any team.

Joe’s not about to hit the “goodbye” button on anyone just because he doesn’t agree with them. Joe’s ok if that drives some people away. Joe’s not standing up for the two haters, just sticking to his plan for this site. So far, so good.

  69. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Joe,

You know I love your site, and have no plans of ever leaving. I visit many different Bucs sites, and this one is by far my favorite. However, I agree with BigMacAttack. I have no problem with people not liking the coach. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and that’s what “moves the needle” on this site. I actually think that having an alternate opinion is good for the site, but these two guys are nothing but trolls. Buc You posted after we beat New Orleans to “go Packers and Giants”! How is that a fan of this team??? Maybe he wasn’t really hoping those teams win, but if he didn’t, then that is the definition of a troll. He is just doing it to piss off everyone. Every single one of their posts is negative, and it is with a purpose. I think that is something you may want to consider banning. I’m not saying you should necessarily ban those 2 from the site, but some of their posts are so absurd that it truly is a major blemish on an otherwise great website. It’s your site and obviously you can do whatever you want, but these two are not good for the site. It’s to the point where you can’t even have a legitimate conversation with real fans without these 2 chiming in disrupting everything. Their negativity and hate dominate the post, and it gets really old after a while. I know you say to just ignore it, but that’s easier said than done. I think we have all tried, but their comments are so ridiculous, ignorant, and irritating that we can’t help it but to come to our team’s defense. I promise you that you will not lose anything without their hate, but instead you will gain more readers.

  70. Buc You Says:

JBF is the most civil of Buc forums out there. Go read the other buc sites and you will see far worse Raheem non supporters in an R rated manner. This place is mostly G rated… well all except the venom spewed towards Thomas and Buc You… go read the comments in this thread, the hate comes from the comments not from Thomas and Buc You.

Really? Where? Like you always do, statements with no examples.

  72. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    That’s what I thought

  73. New Era Buc Says:

Steve white definitely left because of racist comments from this site by one or two people. Steve’s response to the racist comments on this site says it all. But what ever!

  74. admin Says:

    Joe here,

@NewEraBuc – Nothing could be further from the truth. Steve White told Joe exactly why, in detail, he was going to post his weekly column on his own blog, and it had nothing to do with a racist commenter here. Uh, Joe suspects he didn’t have that conversation with you. …Joe had no ugly breakup with Steve like some here keep wanting to believe. Very silly, really. …Dealing with racists is a reality everyone who owns a site like this has to manage. Policing successfully here 24/7 is not something Joe is equipped to do.

@Hawaiian Buc – You’re point is taken. But really don’t think it’s that bad.

  75. Joe Says:

    Hawaiian Buc:

Joe didn’t see the comment in question where Buc You apparently typed that he wanted the Pack and the Giants to win. Yes, if that occurred, that is a bit much. Feel free to email Joe at joe@joebucsfan.com if you see any comments you find over the line. Joe cannot, sadly, monitor each and every comment, though he tries.

  76. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Joe,

Thanks for the response. And again, I don’t think they should be banned, but some of the things they say is so off the wall and ridiculous, that it really has no place here or anywhere else. The hatred they spew at times is just too much. I feel like a lot of us (definitely myself included) spend too much time arguing against their stupid comments instead of discussing the team. I guarantee you they have posted at least 100 times about us finishing 3rd in the division, and even more about how easy our schedule is.

Anyway, here is the link (it’s about the 10th comment down): https://www.joebucsfan.com/?p=42528#comment-211765

Fair enough Joe still love the site. Keep up the great work

Bet this whole thing is reported wrong….no way they give him that kind of money with the lockout on the horizon. They will just pick up his option year, just like they will MD, and continue to pay on the cheap.
