Geno Hayes Could Have Died

December 13th, 2010

Joe’s not going to go into a ton of background here, but this is an issue that Joe feels should be made a cold hard reality to alleged Bucs tough guy Geno Hayes, who absorbed a pile of volts from Tampa police this morning courtesy of a Taser.

People die from getting shot by Tasers. They go down and never get up again.

Their hearts stop and all kinds of bad stuff happens. And most of the people whose bodies don’t handle thousands of volts from Tasers are weakened from something other factor or condition.

It’s likely that Hayes was drinking last night, given that he was arrested at a nightclub after 2 a.m. Alcohol consumption alone affects heart rhythm, and getting shot with a taser while under the influence can be a dangerous combination.

Add to that scenario that Hayes’ body had just endured the draining associated with playing in an NFL game, and getting shot with a taser was even more potentially deadly for him.

Plus don’t forget to throw in that the cop probably turned up the juice on the gun in order to be sure there was enough to take down an angry linebacker.

Somebody at One Buc Palace needs to show Hayes all the articles online of people dying after getting Tased. Maybe the team doctor needs to explain that it’s nothing to mess with. Maybe mentor Derrick Brooks needs to intimidate him the old fashioned way.

Maybe Raheem needs to tell the team to stop embarrassing him.

Ok, Joe, as a deputy who has been tased about 20 times and used it on others as well, TASERS dont kill people. Its the cocaine, meth and psycotropic medication that they are on. They go into excited delierium and their bodies over heat and they die. Sometimes its called “positional asphyxiation” , sometimes it is attributed to reaction to OC spray…and now its balmed on the TASER. Regardelss of where the blame is placed, the cause is the body overheating, not electricity. The amps from a TASER are less than you would get from a static shock touching a door knob. Its the frequency which disrupts voluntary muscles. Geno didnt die because he wasnt on cocaine during a psychotic episode. BAck on point…he should consider himself lucky he was tased…teh alternative is being beaten repeatedly with a 18 inch metal pipe we politley call an expandable baton.

  4. mikeck Says:

    sorry for the typos…no auto-correct.

  5. JDouble Says:

Your chances of dropping dead from a taser is about the same as winning the lottery. Did you run out of things to write about this morning Joe?

  6. mikeck Says:

“Plus don’t forget to throw in that the cop probably turned up the juice on the gun in order to be sure there was enough to take down an angry linebacker”

Also Joe..you cannot “turn up the juice” they deliver the same amperage every discharge: less than the amps delivered into a small christmas tree bulb on your tree. you cant turn it up or down. Again, in all of these deaths, the person is tased, then still fights, then is cuffed, then goes into cardiac arrest muinutes later. There is no such thing as residual electricution. You would go into cardia arrest upon tasing if that was the cause…but they arent the cause…so they dont.

too bad Geno doesnt show such determination and aggression when playing the run.

  7. MyNaMeWaSTaKeNbYnIcK Says:

As a deputy as well, the Voltage in a Taser is set at 50,000. Amps are 0.036, no where near enough to kill you. I agree with Mikeck completely, being hit with the taser as well. Also this pic is the M26… Need a X26 pic.. Looks alot better….. Nicer to hold and easier to handle…

  8. MyNaMeWaSTaKeNbYnIcK Says:

On second thaught.. I’m not sure if that is a M26 or an X26….

    Joe here,

Again, Joe wrote up front that he’s not going to go into all the background. Readers are welcome to do the hard research.

He deserved it because he wouldn’t leave the establishment like an idiot.

He got kicked out because he threatened the guys who worked there like an idiot.

Hey stupid Geno, all because you are a tiny NFL linebacker doesn’t mean you have to sack the manager, you idiot.

The guy is an NFL player and doesn’t have the sense enough to control himself in public??????

What in the F— is Raheem teaching these idiots at One Bug Rec Center???????? Are they all swinging from the rafters and jumping around about their ice cream because Raheem is in charge…. or rather, not in control of anything at the Rec Center Circus.

    McBuc,

Buc You will never respond to an intelligent post that states facts. He loves to spout nonsense, but the second his ignorance is exposed, he crawls back into his hole. Look at the other posts and see how many times he says the exact same thing, but in reality he is saying nothing at all.
