Bucs Suddenly Banged Up

October 14th, 2010

The Bucs went from super healthy to Sean Jones missing a game, Jeff Faine out a month, and a bunch of other guys are now banged up.

Woody Cummings, of The Tampa Tribune, chronicled the wounded. You can catch his full story here.

Morris said that in addition to Faine, who will miss several weeks, Moore and Mack were the players most in danger of missing Sunday’s game.

Tim Crowder or Michael Bennett would replace Moore while rookie Myron Lewis likely would replace Mack on the game-day roster.

Frankly, Joe thinks more Crowder and Bennett would be a very good thing.

As for Lewis, Raheem puts him on his “ascending players” list, but Joe would prefer to see him get his first significant action in another game. Joe can imagine the drool dripping off Drew Brees with rookies Cody Grimm and Lewis in the secondary.

I think we’ll actually get more pressure on Brees with Crowder and Bennett than with Moore anyway. I don’t think having Lewis in for Dime situations will hurt the secondary much, if at all. It’s never a good thing when guys are banged up, but we may see better play from some guys that have seen limited action and should be in more often (Bennett/Crowder). The experience down the stretch for Lewis would be good as well. We need to see what he can do, in case we need to get a CB opposite Talib next year. Biggers may take that spot, but it’d be nice to know now if there’ll be heavy competition between Biggers and Lewis.

Not good news though if Graham is hampered by injury. He’s been very effective from the FB spot.

She looks like a little Croatian Bar tender that used to take care of us at Stick & Stein down in Key West.

I agree with BamBam. Although injuries are never good, it will be good to give some guys playing experience. Especially this year when we are reloading a bit (In light of what I have seen, I’ve gotten away from the rebuilding term). Yeah, Bennett & Crowder might get some pressure and get out defense off the field more so Josh and co. can get some extra opportunities to score.

You agree with BamBam…??? With a picture like that all I can think of is how nice it would be to have her giving me a sponge bath!!!!

Seriously? I just looked over the a bunch of the previous posts and nothing – i mean not 1 – post by those scrubs Eric, Thomas, Javier, RahDom, Mushy, Tampa2, etc.

Where are your balls fellas? If you are going to talk all that $hit before the season starts, then atleast show your face around here and take it like a man!

Taking your ball and running away like a little bitch is exactly what we all knew would happen.

Man, I’m disappointed, I thought this feeling of proving their a$$es wrong would be more vindicating. Now it just feels like their pathetic losers who never deserved our scorn in the first place.

Couldn’t find a hotter nurse on the internet, Joe?

  7. Joe Says:

To be fair Gary, Radio Mushmouth got bounced by Joe because he refused to stop posting URLs of pirated Bucs games feeds.

  8. Jonny Says:

@Gary, same feeling here. The thing that is strange to me, I have heard and seen bandwagoners, people who suddenly become fans when things are working out for that team.

What do you call these guys that pretend to be hardcore fans of that team, but only show up when things are bad to throw people under the bus? Haters? Not “Haters” because Haters never claim to be fan of that team.

Mushy got a tougher penalty than Roethlisberger.

@Gary – man I don’t get it. You were pissed off at the above posters because you disagreed with their positions right? They predicted a terrible Bucs seasons and to this point the Bucs have exceeded expectations right?

    So what’s your problems?

Why can’t U be happy that the Bucs are doing much better than expected? Instead you’re upset that you can’t ‘gloat’? WOW!

Who is REALLY the hater Gary?

  12. Mr. Lucky Says:

Just curious but does anyone else think that by saying that Mack may not play Morris might just be spouting this in order ‘psyche out’ Sean Payton?

  13. OAR Says:

Mr Luky, “Instead you’re upset that you can’t ‘gloat’? WOW!” Took the words right outa my mouth!
BTW Im sure Raheem has said many things to “psyche out” opposing coaches. ie: Blount to get more carries, Josh Johnson to line up with Freeman possibly run wildcat, etc.

  14. OAR Says:

Oops, sorry about the “c” missing.

Gary, yer spot on! The haters spent the whole summer calling everyone associated with the Team “idiots, morons, stupid, etc”! Now they have all proven to be the spineless cowards we said they were. They all have either stopped posting, or pretended to be fans all along. Mr. Sucky is in the Latter category, so naturally he wants you to cut the haters some lack!
