Raheem The Dream Wants Joe Barry To Stay

January 25th, 2010

Last week it was learned that University of Tennessee coach Derek Dooley wants Bucs linebackers coach Joe Barry to be the Volunteers defensive coordinator.

Problem is (for Barry), aside from the fact he still has a year left on his contract with the ucs, Raheem the Dream doesn’t want Barry to leave.

Speaking to the Mad Twitterer of the St. Petersburg Times, apparently taking a break from spreading agent-driven speculation, Raheem the Dream said he will do his best to keep Barry in fold.

There could be other openings. Linebackers coach Joe Barry is a candidate for the Tennessee Volunteers defensive coordinator’s position.

“I’m talking to him. Joe Barry is my guy,” Morris said. “I just look forward to sitting down and talking to him about it.”

As Joe has stated before, it would be smart of Barry to leave the Bucs, if he is actually offered the defensive coordinator position at Tennessee and he can get out of his Bucs contract.

The Mad Twitterer also notes that Bucs general manager Mark Dominik is holding a job fair of sorts at the Senior Bowl practices looking to fill the two coaching vacancies the Bucs currently have, which could grow to three if Barry leaves.

    I agree with The Dream.
    We need Barry to stay.

If our owners will outbid any other team for anything at all remains to be seen.

    …ahms?……..ahms for the poor?
