Pen And Mic Club Can’t Find Bryan And/Or Joel

January 3rd, 2010

It’s not uncommon for Bryan and Joel to greet their players coming off the field after a game before the locker room doors are opened and the hounds (pen and mic club) are released.

Today, that was not the case, writes Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times.

Unlike the shameless woman T.J. Rives, the professionals were trying to get to the bottom of what was or is going to happen to Raheem the Dream. One such source would, of course, be Bryan and Joel.

But they were not to be found at the CITS.

[W]e saw no sign of the Glazer brothers after today’s game, although they almost certainly were in the building (the private security guys wearing earpieces and dark suits are usually a good indication).

Several members of the media wanted to ask the obvious questions — what they thought of the season, do they plan to retain Raheem Morris and Mark Dominik — but we never got the chance. Whether they ducked out a back door or took a different route than usual out of the stadium we may never know.

So, we remain in the dark about ownership’s plans and likely will remain so until the business of 2010 gets underway. That’s usually the scouting efforts that begin at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. in a few weeks.

Interesting.

As Joe told his good friend Justin Pawlowski of WDAE-AM 620 this evening while being interviewed live on the air, the next few weeks should be very interesting for Bucs fans, and for Joe.

if raheem was coming back next year joe why wouldent the glazers just say it right after the game instead of making him worry about his job status this sounds like either bill cowher is coming or the glazers cant make up their mind yet

That’s a question Joe has asked, rhetorically, before. Why let Raheem the Dream twist in the wind?

  3. zech Says:

I wounder if raheem already knows the out come of the season I mean maybe they want him to go on as buisness as usual

Joe think about it if raheem was worried abouy his job and the players where worried too they would have came out more fired up and hungry to win the game!!

  5. TpaBayFlyFisher Says:

What makes anyone think that Bill C. will come here? If he or Shanny are not signed, why fire the discount HC?

  6. JK Says:

Joe, why would Glazerhouse care if Morris twisted in the wind? They obviously care only about themselves. As far as seeing them today, did you check Manchesters calender to see if they were playing today?

  7. Mr. Lucky Says:

    Ok here’s the $64 question.

Which media source will be the first to announce Morris’s firing:

    A. Tampa Tribune

    B. Pewter Report

    C. ESPN

    D. JoeBucsFan.com

    E. Mr. Lucky

  8. Mr. Lucky Says:

If wishes could come true then Answer E would be the right choice!

  9. tommyg Says:

if the empty seats dont say enough we are in trouble

  10. Joe Says:

Which media source will be the first to announce Morris’s firing:

    Mr Lucky:

Joe believes, should Raheem the Dream get fired, the answer will be E. 🙂

Joe sincerely believes if you ever met Raheem the Dream and you had a knife on you, Raheem the Dream would no longer be able to bear fruit you loathe him so much.
