  1. Flagg Says:

Any chance we could move The Dream to defensive coordinator and bring in Cowher as head coach?

  2. Jeff Says:

Keep Raheem and hire Derrick Brooks as Linebacker\Assistant DC coach.
    You heard it here first.

  3. Joe Says:

You’ve been hanging out at too much. :^)

  4. Joe Says:

    Morris isn’t a 3-4 kinda guy.

  5. Mr. Lucky Says:

Joe what’s up with this poll. I can’t vote 100 times and skew the results.

If this were a political poll I bet I could – or maybe in Chicago.

The only thing that would make me more upset about having Raheem as next year’s HC would be for Domonik to have gotten Jay Cutler for like a gazillion picks – not THAT would have sucked even worse.

  6. Mr. Lucky Says:

To all you Morris suck-ups let me ask you this:

Would the Cowboys trade Wade Phillips for Morris?

Would the Panthers trade Fox for Morris?

Name me ONE team that would trade their head coach for Morris…

I doubt even Al Davis would trade Tom Cable for Morris – even IF we threw in a 2nd round pick.

    Joe here,

Mr. Lucky, The people are speaking and you can’t stop them. 😉

50 percent for Raheem. About 150 votes already, so it’s a good sample.

  8. Jeff Says:

Joe, never even heard of before, but if they (Bucs) are going youth and draft to build the team, Brooks makes sense…and ticket sales will increase on his name alone. More so than Cowher I would think!

Just like the 2008 election all over again!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!!

  10. TAC Says:

I picked Cowher, but want Morris to succeed. I think he is going to be a great HC one day, just doesn’t have the experience yet.

I have the same question as Flagg, why can’t he just work under Cowher, he gains experience, and the bucs don’t lose a damn good Coach.

That would all be up to Cowher, and Morris, but Tomlin kept his defense around after he resigned.

  11. Joe Says:

Derrick Brooks won’t coach for a lot of reasons, though he likely would be very good. One of the reasons he won’t coach is he may run for a state senate seat.

  12. Fatsacks Says:

I voted for Cowher as well just because the man is a winner! I love what Raheem has brought to this team this year with a coach and player bound, but that can only hold up so much! I like the idea of Raheem staying and becoming the DC but we all know that Cowher is coming with his own staff…If the Glazer’s are actually going to spend money on something why not go after a well respected coach…and we all know that its going to become alot easier to have free agents come to Tampa Bay and sit with Cowher at One Bucs Place and sign those dotted lines…I like the idea alot and i think that OUR team would be much better for it!

  13. Mr. Lucky Says:

    Let me ask this question:

If YOU were a free agent looking around what would be more inticing:

    A. Working for Raheem Morris?

    B. Working for Super Bowl coach Bill Cowher?

Most players don’t know who Morris is and if they ask Anthony Bryant for HIS opinion – ouch!

40 vs. 48 – what’s the margin of error in this poll?

  14. Tye Says:

The way I see it at this time is 52% is NOT picking Morris.
The Bucs can either wait several years for this Morris to get the experience to hopefully 1 year have a good season or they can get someone much better qualified who has already been through the experience and already knows what he is doing. The smart move for the bucs is to get the guy Most qualified available at the time they can get him because they aren’t available often. Morris isn’t even close when compared to the ones who are or who may be available. They can either do their best to be the best or be content and settle with being a mediocre team for the next 5 years!

    Joe here,

So far there’s been 430 votes. Interesting numbers. The Dream is beating the Chin.

  16. Tristan Says:

I don’t think we have the personnel to run a Cowher defense any more than we have the personnel to run a Bates defense. I think if we brought Cowher in we’d still be looking at a 2- to 4-year transition. I think our defense is likely to be in much better shape if we stay with Raheem’s Tampa 2-II (I just made that up).
