Al Davis Passes On Derrick Brooks

August 17th, 2009

Seems as though Derrick Brooks is still looking for work.

He recentlyworked out for Al Davis and the Raiders, and it seems Senile Al isn’t interested in Brooks. Davis instead just signed a guy who Brooks worked out with, the immortal Morlon Greenwood, so reports Raidersbeat.com.

The Raiders signed linebacker Morion Greewood and released defensive end Derrick Gray.

Greenwood, 31, has played for the Miami Dolphins and the Houston Texans during his eight-year NFL career. He was released by the Texans in February.

Mike Florio, the creator, curator and overall guru of ProFootballTalk.com, writes that Brooks still has a prayer of being signed by the Saints.

Joe’s getting to the point of wishing Brooks would just retire with honor. He’s already working for the Bucs for free. Might as well get paid for it.
