Son Of Bob Top NFL Player Not To Return

May 11th, 2009

It’s not a stretch to come to the conclusion that Son of Bob has about as much shelf life with the Bucs as a ripe banana. With all the quarterbacks the Bucs have added under Raheem the Dream in recent weeks, Son of Bob is clearly the odd man out.

(Word is that Chucky is so impressed with his pupil, Raheem the Dream, that Chucky shed a tear when he learned the Bucs had five quarterbacks on the roster).

If Son of Bob’s interceptions aren’t enough to get a pink slip (and they should be alone), then Son of Bob’s price tag, last year valued at $4 million, is.

Calvin Watkins of Fanhouse.com is so convinced that Son of Bob is gone, he ranked Son of Bob as the No. 1 NFL player who won’t be back with his team come training camp.

1. Brian Griese, Tampa Bay, QB. When the Bucs drafted Josh Freeman, it put the number of quarterbacks in camp at five. Byron Leftwich was signed in free agency and there is still hope in Josh Johnson. Griese looks expendable here.

Ya’ think? Joe just can’t get over that the Bucs gave up a draft pick for Son of Bob after he was cut by Chucky. Joe also can’t figure out why in the world any team would want a glorified interception machine who couldn’t even beat out Rex Grossman for a gig?

Oh, BTW, Grossman is still unemployed.
