Bust-In-Waiting Freeman Also Missing OTAs

May 13th, 2009

Well, well, well. It seems Sgt. Winslow wasn’t the only one who was absent from One Buc Palace yesterday. Seems so was Bucs quarterback bust-in-waiting and the likely subject of Raheem the Dream’s wet dreams Josh Freeman.

But Freeman had a good excuse: He wasn’t allowed to attend, so writes Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune.

Freeman, on the other hand, is not permitted to participate. According to league rules, rookies who attend a school that has yet to complete its current semester of classes cannot participate in workouts.

This is a good rule Joe believes. Joe’s all about getting the college degree. That said, Freeman told Sirius NFL Radio recently that he wasn’t enrolled in any spring semester classes.

While Joe likes the NFL rule that prohibits college students from participating until their classes are finished, if the players aren’t enrolled in any classes, what’s the point?
