Bucs Rewarding Longtime Season Ticket Holders

November 6th, 2009

Joe’s got official confirmation of a kind gesture and smart business move enacted by the Glazers and their business team at One Buc Palace.

With great seats available all season long, the Bucs have been offering many of their most loyal customers free upgrades to unsold club level seats (those seats don’t count toward TV blackouts).

Joe first learned of this via comments made by multiple callers to various sports radio stations over the past week.

Today, Jeff Kamis, Bucs director of all things media, confirmed the team’s generosity to some lucky, dedicated fans.

“This is a program that we have been running this season in appreciation to our long term season ticket holders,” Kamis wrote in an e-mail.

Of course, the Bucs can’t put this offer out to every season ticket holder in the upper level. But the sheer joy in the voices of those who scored the upgrade is no doubt easing the pain of the winless season.

Given all the no-shows for recent games, it’s also likely a smart way to put more fannies in the seats on game day. The season ticket holder who gets the free upgrade is more likely to attend the game — and spend money at the stadium.

Finally, and I know this is crazy to suggest, but that Bucs-Packers game has me wondering if we could see something outrageous happen. I don’t expect it at all, but I don’t like some of the divisive comments I’ve heard from members of the Packer defense. I just wonder if that team is having some problems internally …

I was upgraded to club seats for the Giants game. I appreciated it and it was the first time this has happened.

Maybe if the Glazers hadn’t gouged their season ticket holders to pay for Manchester United they would have more loyal fans.

Let’s all declare a holiday for the Glazers. The greatest owners ever. If they don’t get rid of all the tickets the hot dogs go out of date. That means the whole Glazer clan has to come to the stadium after the game and take the leftover hot dogs home. What a problem. The popcorn vendor will be fired if there is to much leftover popcorn. I would hate to be them right now. Big problems!! I know, they should fire the water boys, there is no reason those big boys can’t get water for themselves. Marlow, I wish it would rain 100 dollar bills at my house. Again Joe, good picture.

Joe – first of all a shout out to by my boy Fritz and Caybrew! Glazers ticket award is a ploy to turn around and resell the lower bowl seats given up by theose who moved to the club. Those tickets are cheaper to sell.

If the Glazers want to support the fans. How about a better product on the field.
