  1. The Buc Realist Says:

    The People have spoken!!!!

  2. Buccfan37 Says:

I’m confident Lovie knows the fans have little to no confidence in his ability to build a contender here in Tampa Bay.

  3. Biff Barker Says:

Just downgraded Coach from little to none.

Buh Bye Lovie simply can not come soon enough. The man is a clueless farce.

Glazers…. your brand’s value has officially tanked. Rock bottom. Congratulations on owning the worst team in the NFL.

  4. Robert 9 Says:

    75% little to no confidence.

buy, I guess calling out your fans is not a smart move. 🙂

this guy is BEGGING, AND I MEAN BEGGING to get fired.

He got his retirement money, now he has Tedford as the scapegoat and he might even be able to sell that to some people.

Give him what he wants lest he ruin our 1st pick in the draft, continue to deplete the roster and build an atmosphere of passivness and a loser mentallity.

We need continuity…..BY ALL MEANS, but this is special right here. When a coach calls out the fans he is begging to get fired.

  5. Zam Says:

I bet the early poll results have much lower ratings for Lovie. Hard core fb fans won’t be as forgiving of his ineptitude.

I’d change completely if he didn’t have personnel control. As a coach only, I’m quite confident in him.

  6. Maze Says:

Anyone voting totally confident obviously aren’t Buc fans. Only trolls could be that stupid

  7. John McKillop Says:

@Zam I agree with you as far as coaching, as far as being in control of personnel , no coach and I mean no coach should have total control over personnel, they’re coaches for gosh sakes, not personnel men. He is too stubborn as it is, when you have control over personnel you are even less likely to admit your mistakes. I do not trust him with the first pick in the draft.

  8. DallasBuc Says:

Poll is flawed, skewed with 3 positive options and only 2 negative yet Lovie is still getting killed. The man intentionally started McTrash all year. That is all you need to know.

  9. Keith Says:

Joe is giving readers every chance to vote confident but they pick the two negative options.

  10. ToesOnTheLine! Says:

Truly how can anyone be seriously totally confident in a guy in charge of a 2-12 team!? Even confident is delusional, 2 & F’ing 12 and looking at being swept in the historically putrid NFC South!? Has to be people voting just to get more action in the thread.

  11. lightningbuc Says:

3% would follow Lovie off the Sunshine Skyway if he jumped and told them to follow.

  12. JTHV Says:

Some of you guys should apply to be an NFL GM or HC. Ya’ll seem so damn knowledgeable and far beyond the ability of those professionals that do this shit for a living.

You have the answers to everything, the path to success. It’s not that difficult obviously, go apply.

Until then, please save all of us who are under your wide ranging knowledge and authority from your daily chest beatings.

    Go Bucs!

  13. OB Says:

Still no confidence for the same reasons, he continually does the same things expecting different results.

  14. Robert 9 Says:

well there’s one of your confident votes ^

  15. bucrightoff Says:

Losing to Derek Anderson twice, and not just losing but letting him pretty carve the Bucs up, has to bump up Little and No Confidence a little bit.

  16. DB55 Says:

    Jtvh

The little girl from the movie the blind side could do a better job than these clowns. Give it a rest man, Lovie is a complete joke and so are his supporters.

  17. SteveK Says:

“no confidence” from this “true” fan.

Way to go, Lovie, you are making the fan base miss Schiano and it hasn’t even been a year.

Lovie lost me over the way he sticks with lesser, veteran players, rather then play the young guys.

Dude is stubborn, wrong, and hopefully out of a job for Coach Harbaugh.

  18. SteveK Says:

    JTVH,

The fans were told by Lovie and Licht that we should not expect a rebuild, and that we should compete right away.

The only thing we did was get worse…

Schiano used to take phone calls from irate fans on his radio broadcast. Lovie does not take phone calls, and only gets questions that are moderated pieces of BS.

Lovie needs to be held accountable for the level of suck he has provided this year.

  19. Greg Says:

    @JTHV
    You must be blind

  20. iamkingsu Says:

Take away the falcons and ravens game the team isn’t half bad. My only problem is Lovie’s infatuation with josh Mccown. I mean we have no OC, o-line, and mccown at qb. I actually stop caring about winning after the saints game. As long as we weren’t getting ran off the field I could live with the losses because I want a high draft pick

  21. Tye Says:

Looking at going 2-14…. Worse team for Bucs in 28 years….

Lovie IS NOT the Coach people want to think or believe he is…. This season is proof… He created this… Let go good players and replaced them with lesser talented players…

Worst record in the worst division… That should tell you all you need to know about Lovie’s coaching… He got fired by the Bears for a reason and now we see it too… This time when he is fired their will be NO QUESTION about it…

Hope the owners enjoy seeing the stadium packed out this weekend… That is the closest they are going to come to seeing seats filled their until they get a HC who can build a winning team…

  22. MariotaOrWinstonOrWalkdaPlank Says:

Lovie will not change. He won’t wake up on Black Monday and suddenly know how to run an NFL team. His talent evaluation is narrow and pretty bad. He has too much control, Licht is a lapdog, he is too conservative, and while he is a head coach, he only knows how run a defense. Not a team. I have NO CONFIDENCE in Liar Smith to turn around this team, he will never be anything but a DC playing in over his head. You shouldn’t need the best OC available and a return guy like Devin Hester to be considered a good head coach.

  23. Fort Myers Dave Says:

Tre is right, this is the worst team since Leeman Bennett’sm1986 squad. The year that Bo Jackson blew off the Bucs and went MLB and Vinny was wearing army fatigues on his way tothe Fiesta Bowl and losing to Penn State via 5 picks (an Omen of things to come for the Bucs when they drafted him)….. That team was handcuffed by a cheap@ss owner who was simply interested in profit and not in any team pride or winning. What is the Glazers’ excuse for this 2-14 squad? Maybe they can keep Lovie and fire Licht and then bring in a GM that answers to them and not Lovie. Can anyone actually trust L&L with another open checkbook after this trainwreck of a season with all the personnel misses in FA? I voted little confidence on the belief that he is simply tanking games and using his soon to be fired OC and Special team’s coaches as sacrificial lambs to pile the blame on and in turn get the #1 or 2 pick overall to get a franchise qb or a trade ala Rams/RG3 or Saints/Ricky Williams to rebuild the franchise…..

  24. Trubucfan22 Says:

If you “miss” schiano, then you’re an idiot. That is all.

  25. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

His approval rating is up, suckers. Wonder if there are more voters this time? I missed the last 3 polls myself.

As it stands, 70 percent have confidence.

  26. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

    SteveK Says
“The fans were told by Lovie and Licht that we should not expect a rebuild, and that we should compete right away.“

Don’t be silly. What coah or GM wil go into a season telling fans we won’t contend? That point is made by several here, and its dumb.

If yo here about a restaurant being under newcmanagement and want to go, but the new staff says “The food is ‘okay’ but we’ll be better by next year“, are you going to go?

Heck no. It’s a business. They can’t say things that will keep fans from the seats.

That thecsame reason Lovie kept pushing the playoff chances.

  27. Fort Myers Dave Says:

The numbers in this poll can be spun either way. Lovie backers see 70% confidence while critics see 61.5% having little or no confidence. I guess it depends on what one defines as “little” confidence: personally I don’t think it is a great review of the coach but it is not an immediate call for his removal either. But lets be honest, no real Buc fan can be pleased that the Bucs are 2-12 and have lost so many close games via blatant penalties, late turnovers, prevent defenses that prevented wins and lost leads late, bad special teams, etc. etc. We can be happy that the Bucs will be picking 1st or 2nd in the draft unless the saints tank in week 17 (not likely). Obviously no one can be confident with this current roster or most of its coaches so the poll is a referendum on how much blame to lay on Lovie for this trainwreck season because you know the axe is going to fly on Black Monday; its just a question of how many people besides Marcus Arroyo get the pink slip…..

  28. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

Bad hire and lovie will never change….its time for fresh ideas not these retreads, i liked the schiano hire but he was not the right direction but at least it was an attempt to do right and try a new thing…………..I know i have lobbied for josh mcdaniels and its hypocritical of me because he is a retread but go find that guy or adam gase or shurmur up in philly…..lovie is boring and that fact will ring loud and clear sunday with all those stinkin cheese heads

  29. ToesOnTheLine! Says:

    @ Bonzai

Yes Lovie and Licht have to make bold claims and can’t say we’ll get this fixed eventually, but the beef many of us have is if you make those kind of lofty claims you’d damn well better be able to at least produce a better product on the field than what got the last HC and GM fired. This year’s team is worse than last years in most every statistic as well as (probably) win/loss…not sure how people can argue that point (yet some here insist on doing anyways)
