Mike Williams was allegedly stabbed today by his brother, per WTSP.com

[UPDATE: 9:36 p.m. Per Candace McCowan of Channel 28, Williams was stabbed in the thigh.]

Bucs wideout Mike Williams was stabbed this afternoon and, per Bobby Lewis of Joe’s good friends at WTSP.com, allegedly the attacker was his brother, who is on the run from authorities, said Cristal Bermudez Nunez of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Joe has learned through a credible source that the injury Williams sustained is not life-threatening. Williams is currently in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa and scant details of the specifics of his injuries are known, other than his condition.

The incident happened in Williams’ home in the upscale Avila neighborhood, 17027 Candeleda De Avila.bb

    When it rains….it pours.

  2. Matt Says:

    Bye bye Mike…hello Mr. Jackson

  3. tmaxcon Says:

    Mcabee –

i am the first one to admit when I am wrong and I was wrong today in my defense of Williams. This crap can not be tolerated. Obviously the facts need to come out but man this can’t be good. damn i look like an ARSE big time… not the first time and not the last.

  4. GlenninGrad Says:

When they talked about him getting cut, I didn’t think it would be like this.

  5. GlenninGrad Says:

He was stabbed in the leg by his brother, he musta done something hella bad to get that serious

  6. Brandon Says:

It was his bro at his house. You never know, he might not have been up to something nefarious.

  7. westsidebucsfan Says:

I hope all of you people who said “let him live his life” and “just because he parties until late hours of the night doesn’t mean anything” can eat their words now!!! Dude is a wannabe thug who I can’t stand with a passion. Say good by to this price because lovie isn’t having any of it

  8. Buc Fan #237 Says:

So after cutting Mike Williams, they then get Jackson?

  9. Buc Fan #237 Says:

    Time to draft Mike Evans.

  10. Oil Derrick Brooks Says:

“Dominik estimates that the Bucs spent about seven more hours researching Williams’ background, including several conversations with Syracuse coach Doug Marrone. According to Marrone, only three NFL teams even bothered to inquire about Williams at all and one of them never returned a phone message.”

    LOL

  11. SteveK (MGM) Says:

We should trade him for anything.

  12. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I hope MW19 is OK….but, that being said…..his sorry-ass needs to get some help.

  13. Orca Says:

trouble attracts trouble… if we weren’t on the hook for a good chunk of cap space, he’d be on the street already.

  14. Eric Says:

He’s the victim of a stabbing.

    That’s his fault how?

  15. Joe Says:

He’s the victim of a stabbing.

    That’s his fault how?

Exactly. So now we are going to try and convict victims of an attempted murder, or at best victims of attempted assault with a deadly weapon???

  16. tmaxcon Says:

there goes his trade value… Non existent now. he really screwed the team. man I just defended him this morning passionately might i add.

  17. Robbie_G Says:

GREAT, now he got his FAT contract from BSPN’s new Rock Star, he is nothing but trouble. It’s cheaper to keep him. what a jack ass

  18. Urmom Says:

Ghetto rich comes to mind. Love mike, I m giving him the benefit of the doubt on this one till I hear the facts. I was hoping we would swap him for Djackson. Guess I’m outta luck on that one now.

  19. tmaxcon Says:

its not about being a victim… if you put yourself in bad situations bad things happen. obviously we were not there but I think you lose the right to play the victim card if you are being stupid or surrounding yourself with losers.

  20. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Hate to hear that, hope he’s going to be OK. I’ve been critical if him this off-season, but I sure as hell am not going to blame him for getting stabbed, at least until more info comes out.

  21. Matt Says:

Man you people are quick to pass judgment!

  22. pablo Says:

So williams is a thug because his brother stabbed him?

  23. You go Joe Says:

Why cut the player?? People jumping to conclusions way to serious. You think the bucs already have his release forms ready? NO they will look into the matter and decide later. Some people here just blinded by hatred.

  24. JBuc Says:

I’ll be shocked if he remains on this roster. As with the other players that have been removed thus far, he is far over priced (thanks Dom) for a very average talent. When you include all the off the field stuff, no chance he remains. Not sure Jackson would be the answer but I am sure they are working on all options.

  25. Buc1987 Says:

You people are VERY quick to pass judgement. How do ANY of you know it was not an accident? And don’t give me that smoke there’s fire crap either.

  26. mark2001 Says:

Wow…I’ve gotten really mad at my brother in past years…but cutting him never crossed my mind or anything worse than to knock some sense into him…I mean really….your brother? Wow..that is a world I honestly don’t understand.

  27. tmaxcon Says:

it’s not being blinded by hatred and I personally am not blaming him that being said people have to take personal responsibility for not only their actions but the people they associate with regardless if they are family or not. he is backing Lovie into a corner with all the public distractions and that is not hatred nor is it wishing ill will it’s FACT!

  28. Joe Says:

Someone has to tell Joe how the hell a person who was stabbed in his own home and currently in the hospital is somehow the guilty party and should lose his job over this, now to mention he’s a damned good receiver?

Seems the cops are chasing the brother, not Williams. But let’s not let facts get in the way of hatred for a player who two months ago was loved by damned near all.

  29. pablo Says:

Is that his real address ? Do u think he has anything valuable at his house ?

  30. Hawaiian Buc Says:

There is absolutely no reason why ANYONE should be anything but concerned for his well being at this time. There’s a time and a place for judging his actions, but this isn’t that time.

  31. Warthog Says:

Hahaha haters gon hate. When a man gets stabbed, that makes him the victim, not the criminal.

    Y’all can read, right?

  32. Vico Says:

Why cut the player? Well, ask his brother.

  33. Architek Says:

Wish him well but this doesn’t help his cause!

I can’t easily see him done – they warned him to keep things quiet.

  34. Alex2013 Says:

So we lose our starting center and our #2 receiver gets stabbed in 1 day…We continue to lose on Sundays in the offseason too…

  35. JBuc Says:

Smart people with a lot to lose tend to stay out of harms way. They make tough decisions like separating themselves from people that can bring them down (including family members). They are also smart enough to know not to throw parties until all hours on a Friday night before a game when your team is losing every week. Mike Williams does not exhibit the behavior of a smart person/football player. Another reason he is way overpriced and not long for this team.

  36. mark2001 Says:

Here is my question….how will this affect his ability to play, finish any rehab, or get in shape for this coming season? Why…because if we are going to lose him for all or a large part of the season anyway, or he won’t be able to be effective, they may let him go anyway, even with the hit. Wonder if freeing up the Zuttah money might have been involved in the potential outcomes of this situation?

Except the fact that he has a talent for finding noise and bad publicity. I wish him health but let’s stop painting a picture that’s not there. After he heal up the Bucs need to make a decision now on him. He can’t keep his nose clean or out of the news.

  38. Buc1987 Says:

Still I think if Williams has so much as a parking ticket Lovie is going to cut him loose. Brother doing it or not tmaxcon is right if, off the field events do not even need to continue, it might be too late. This could be the end for Williams as a Buccaneer.

Stick a fork (or knife) in him, he’s done.

  39. rrsrq Says:

Wow, JBfans commenters, MW possibly was trying to get his brother to turn himself in, idk, and neither do you but I will reserve judgment. I am so glad all of you have perfect families and lifestyles, never been in a fight, never even got a speeding ticket, amazing. First some of you are saying how overpaid JZ is though he has been a solid player and now the O-line is paper thin, now we ware saying get rid of MW when we have a paper thin receiving corp. Speedy recovery mike and good luck Zuttah

  40. JBuc Says:

Keep in mind this a pattern with this guy. He was a stellar guy at Syracuse too.

  41. OB Says:

Joe I don’t know what happened there but he could have cut his brother off because he was contributing to the problem and like a lot of people that are cut off from the good life they strike out.

Did this happen, I don’t know, but something did that caused him to stab his brother. Since it is a felony, it will all come out.

  42. mark2001 Says:

Joe…I don’t think they cut him for this incidence, per se….but if it effects his ability to play on the field this coming season in any way, and he wasn’t training as seriously as they thought he should be anyway, who knows how it will play out? I think the medical report will be critical in that decision, and not so much the rest.

  43. Buc1987 Says:

Hawaiian Buc…it’s not life threatening…take a chill pill.

  44. lurker Says:

this just shows the complete lack of class some “fans” have on this site. some of the comments are just a window into the soulless.

  45. Mcruzer Says:

For all of you guys that say people are rushing to judgement and all of the facts need to come out first. Out of the 1000 times i have had a keg party, family bbq, meal, get together, etc. no one ever has been stabbed. You know why? Cause i choose to associate, invite over (even relatives) that have a certain classiness as in they dont stab people.

  46. Architek Says:

People stop with the Zuttah crap!!!!

Never a Pro Bowler or All Pro – not even the best in the division.

    Get over it!

  47. Eric Says:

You people don’t even know if his brother broke into his house or attacked him at the doorway trying to get in.

Yet with no. Zero. Nada. Nil. Nary a shred of Information of any facts, other than he was stabbed by his brother, you are perfectly willing to assign blame.

    Disgraceful.

This guy is bleeding in a hospital.

  48. Posey99 Says:

Didn’t Brandon Marshall getter stabbed too?

  49. Joe Says:

For all of you guys that say people are rushing to judgement and all of the facts need to come out first. Cause i choose to associate, invite over (even relatives) that have a certain classiness as in they dont stab people.

How do you know the brother was invited?

Yup, let’s rush to judgement. Let’s nail Williams to a wall tonight as soon as the nurse leaves his hospital room. Oh, and let’s get Talib back too!

  50. Buc1987 Says:

I think if Mike’s step sisters, brothers, cousin’s aunt gets flagged for speeding and it makes the news. Lovie will cut Mike loose.

  51. Joe Says:

Didn’t Brandon Marshall getter stabbed too?

By his girlfriend. But that’s OK. He doesn’t get hurt and catches passes. Let’s trade for him!

  52. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    @Hawaiian Buc

    Very True!

  53. Buc1987 Says:

Eric…my source tells me they have it bandaged up and he’s no longer bleeding.

  54. brandonbucfan Says:

Earlier today I wrote that with very little left in FA I was worried about our OL with the trading of Zuttah and only 5 picks. Now we are basically short two starters on the OL and two starters at WR with Underwood leaving. With a great “D” this yeard I can see us losing a lot of games 14-3. Someone PLEASE tell me where the “O” is going to come from and don’t say it is only MARCH!

  55. bucrightoff Says:

Weird story. Most of his issues have started after he signed the deal, which shouldn’t be all that surprising.

  56. lurker Says:

lovie don’t believe in no “o”

  57. Joe Says:

Anyone ever think, just maybe, Williams is trying to help straighten out his brother’s life, just like a family member should?

  58. Eric Says:

Ok, bleeding stopped, let the rampant total classless and disgraceful speculation begin.

  59. joseph mamma Says:

He is just not that good of a receiver. No speed to gain much yardage after the catch. He is good at some jump balls around sideline and endzone. I think we could upgrade at the second and third receiver. We need speed though, we have a big possession receiver in VJAX.

  60. lightningbuc Says:

Funny – some here lampooned Rick Stroud for reporting that Williams and his clan were a pain in the ass to his former neighbors.

But stuff happens like this every day in the Avila hood, so I’m sure his neighbors there are cool with this.

  61. Buc1987 Says:

    brandonbucfan says

“Someone PLEASE tell me where the “O” is going to come from and don’t say it is only MARCH!”

Welcome to Lovieball buddy. Offense, offense, offense, did you just mention offense? Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

  62. Buc1987 Says:

    lol@Eric

  63. WalkdaPlank Says:

Lol you can’t cut Mike, his brother already did!

But seriously, it’s not his fault he got stabbed by a member or his own family. That’s a personal problem. He’s still a good receiver and I’m glad it was only in the thigh. Had he been killed I doubt y’all would be bashing him. Get well Mike!

  64. ryan Says:

I feel like we should cut him . We got rid of tali because of off the field issues. Williams is having the same problem. We should replace him with desean jackson.

  65. JBuc Says:

I believe the point with this guy is that it’s another part of a pattern. If his was a one time incident than I am sure most would move on. I certainly wish him well and hope he is okay but I don’t want him on this team anymore. Oh, I would bet their are 0 teams standing in line to trade for this upstanding citizen.

  66. ryan Says:

    Talib*

  67. mark2001 Says:

Buc1987…does your source tell you how severe it was concerning his ability to train and play? Hopefully for his sake, and the Bucs, it was nothing that will be more than a month or so.

  68. Buc1987 Says:

Everyone keeps saying it was not his fault and we don’t know all the facts. Okay that’s all fine and dandy.

How many of you think Lovie cares whether or not it was his fault?

  69. Buc1987 Says:

    mark2001…I don’t think he will be a Buccaneer..so.

  70. JerseyBucsFan Says:

Don’t understand the hate for MW. A 4rd pick who’s been playing great since he been here and stayed in the game with a leg injury and you people want him gone because he was rapping on his down time and not updating you on how his rehab is going so we need to cut him. Hope you heal up quick mike and play well this year.

  71. WalkdaPlank Says:

@ryan – Williams never shot at someone, popped a pill not prescribed to him, slugged a cabby, hit a teammate with his helmet, or screamed at an old lady in traffic.

    And no to MeSean Jackson.

  72. Eric Says:

His brother is a fugitive, a very likely scenario is he was out of money and went to rob Mike. Or mike started to call the cops to turn him in.

If that’s true, how is this part of a “pattern” of bad behavior?

  73. Macabee Says:

    tmaxcon,

Yes passionately, but I’m still on your team. It’s still Lovie’s call. I must admit though, innocent or guilty, it doesn’t do anything to make the shield proud!

  74. Andrew 1 Says:

I was one of the ones that dident have a problem with him partying and such, and I still don’t have a problem with that part. But getting stabbed, by your own brother no less, will certainly not help his chances of staying with the team. It’s one thing to party and have fun, but it’s something else to get injured in a fight, I’m assuming, with your brother that ultimately results in u getting stabbed. I’m all for drafting Watkins and making Mike expendable.

  75. lightningbuc Says:

“Or mike started to call the cops to turn him in.”

    ___________________

    Yeah, right!

  76. Jerry Says:

This offense is going to be epically bad.

  77. snook Says:

At least he has a rap career to fall back on.

  78. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Sure, MW19 is a victim here….but Stripper Pole in his living room….mattresses on his front lawn….stabbed by his brother….makes you concerned just a little as to what comes next.
Hopefully for Mike, this was the crisis that bottoms him out for a rise back to the top….

  79. snook Says:

    @Jerry:

    Is the first game tomorrow?

  80. Jim Porson Says:

oh lets just throw him in jail now people !!!!!!! This is still fresh news ,lets wait and get some facts man o man!

  81. Cmurda Says:

Fingers crossed that MW is the innocent party here. There very well could be a good possibility that his brother, who allegedly stabbed him, is not all there mentally. We dont know the deal but one thing we can all agree to is that this probably isn’t going to help MW with Lovie.

  82. Architek Says:

    1987 – agreed100%

  83. Buc1987 Says:

I’ll ask the smarty pants people again. Maybe someone would like to answer.

How many of you think Lovie cares whether or not it was Mike’s fault?

  84. Eric Says:

    @andrew,

Who said they were in a fight?

  85. jr Says:

Damn some people on here are p.o.s. He got stabbed and he is the bad guy? He needs to be cut? Some people on here are ignorant fools.

  86. Buc the Haters Says:

For some guys the guaranteed money makes you not give a f*ck about football any more. Think about it. You’re employer is going pay your full salary for the next few years no matter what you do. and your salary is a few million dollars per year…. Now, he can literally do whatever he wants to and he will still earn more money over the next few years than he or anyone in his family or friends have ever earned in their lifetimes…. Tough for some guys to resist the temptations of living the high life I guess

  87. Eric Says:

I think Lovie cares if Mike was doing nothing wrong and his fugitive brother stabbed him.

Didn’t Lovie trade for Brandon Marshall?

  88. JBuc Says:

Think about it this way, the only thing keeping Lovie from cutting this guy prior to this incident is the dead money associated with his contract. Does anyone think this guy is elite level talent? Not worth the pain in the ass. He’s an average 2 WR which are a dime a dozen.

  89. Shawnbucfan Says:

C’mon guys it hurts to get stabbed . Sincerely George Harrison

  90. WalkdaPlank Says:

A stripper pole and a mattress are symptoms of too much partying, yet we have Bucs fans obsessing over Johnny Mancrush. As long as he brings it on Sunday, who cares?

  91. nate Says:

Give the guy a brake he just got stabbed yall.. if anything this is a wakeup call for him.. we need him…

  92. Vincente Says:

Damn well he got cut today maybe he will get cut again soon….

  93. chargedcbh Says:

You are some of the dumbest people ever! He was a victim! You don’t even know what happened! I love the Bucs but hate some of their fans….

  94. Buc1987 Says:

Eric every circumstance is different and I think Marshall is a lot better WR than Mike. How many teams will trade for Mike?

  95. mark2001 Says:

1987 you have a point, and that was why I asked….if he can’t play this year or will be substantially slowed down, it might not make any difference at all. Lovie is fighting for his HC career, and seems he is eliminating all the “if’s” at the start and building from there.

  96. Mr. Patrick Says:

Sounds like the Williams family and the Talib family may be related. Wonder if they know the Vicks?

  97. Andrew 1 Says:

No one, just an assumption. You generally don’t get stabbed during a friendly conversation, but your right it could be something else like an attack by his brother. The brother part is seems messed up to me, I’ve gotten into plenty of fist fights with my brother, but stabbing him?! Would think of it.

  98. kaput Says:

Wrong place, wrong time – and this guy is seemingly always in the wrong place.

It’s always something with this guy.

Ever hear of Brees, Manning, Brady, Wilson, Fitzpatrick, Johnson, or Revis ever being involved with crap like this?

He’s in need of some maturity, and damn fast. He’s going to cost himself several million dollars if he doesn’t figure that out.

    Hope his thigh heals.

  99. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    1987,

Hell yes Lovie cares if it was his fault or not! It’s ridiculous to think he doesn’t care. If, for arguments sake, it is determined Williams was attacked for no reason, then why would Lovie cut him (unless that decision had already been made prior to this incident)? We have absolutely no idea what happened, but yes, it does matter to Lovie.

  100. Andrew 1 Says:

Wouldn’t think of it @ eric

  101. JBuc Says:

Funny how trouble tends to find the same people over and over again.

  102. Buc1987 Says:

Do any of the classy fans actually think the non-classy fans really care what they think about them when it comes to saying classless stuff about Mike? I don’t.

  103. tmaxcon Says:

marshall also went through several counseling programs one in Denver and another in Miami. Marshall EARNED a second chance by taking responsibility and getting help. Has his name been in the news since??

Not saying Williams is in the wrong or not but comparing those situations is not relevant at this point. regardless of fault it’s a distraction and if that makes someone a hater than so be it. I have been a huge 19 supporter but personal responsibility is important. comparing their skill set is relevant and 19 can’t carry Marshall’s jock and I like 19

  104. Joe Says:

    Wrong place, wrong time

    At his own home???

What would be the right place, locked into a priest’s rectory?

  105. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“A stripper pole and a mattress are symptoms of too much partying, yet we have Bucs fans obsessing over Johnny Mancrush. As long as he brings it on Sunday, who cares?”

    ————-

Does Johnny Football have a stripper pole and mattresses in his front yard? Are you really so naive to believe that 99% of NFL players don’t party harder than you or I could ever dream of? You have no idea if so. You should come out to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl and go to some of the bars. These guys go crazy. Some of the stories are legendary around these parts. Let’s just say the strippers know not to take vacation that week.

  106. tmaxcon Says:

    joe

don’t open that door that we can have way too much fun with that comparison. I am sure their are a list of Alter boys who don’t think the rectory is all that safe.

  107. Mr. Patrick Says:

Let’s wait and see what the actual facts are

  108. Eric Says:

Oh so if Williams was as good as Brandon Marshall this would all mean nothing.

Sad part is I may agree with that!

  109. tmaxcon Says:

eric… the point was marshall screwed up maned up and got help. not that he gets a free pass but there is something to the fact superstars get more chances that is obvious.

  110. Buc1987 Says:

Hawaiian Buc …when it comes to cutting him or not. I don’t think he cares at all. I think Williams will be cut soon. I mean real soon too. You can only fill a balloon with so much air before it pops. I think the balloon popped today, regardless of who’s fault it was. We’ll see, but there is no way in hell this helped his cause, if anything it hurts his cause. Anyways that’s my stance. Like I said if Williams’, sister’s brother’s cousin’s aunt gets arrested for DUI and he’s not even in the car at the time. Lovie is not going to like it at all.

Schiano was supposed to be a hard ass. I think Lovie is Schiano times 3 in that regard.

  111. Buc1987 Says:

    mark2001…yup.

  112. WalkdaPlank Says:

So Mike Williams is going to be cut by the Bucs because he was cut by his brother? Smh

  113. lightningbuc Says:

What would be the right place, locked into a priest’s rectory?

    ______________

Not if you’re a 12 year old boy!

  114. Patrick Says:

I find it ridiculous how some of you are letting the stabber off the hook and immediately pointing the finger at Williams the minute this story broke out.

  115. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @1987,

Of course Lovie isn’t going to like it. He’s not going to like it if any player gets in an incident like this. That doesn’t mean he’s going to cut him if it is determined he did nothing wrong. Now if they were partying, fighting, or intoxicated, that’s a different story. I would also think the Bucs could face some sort of legal action if they do cut him and he is completely innocent. I’m sure his camp would file a grievance, and it could get pretty messy. Doubt Lovie wants that either. We can speculate all we want, but we know nothing until the facts come out. As of right now, Williams was stabbed in the leg, and he is the victim. There is no evidence (yet) that he did anything wrong. But if he is guilty of probably anything, he’s a goner.

  116. Buc1987 Says:

I wish him well, I hope he recovers. Just don’t sign with any NFC South teams.

  117. WalkdaPlank Says:

If Williams’ sister’s brother’s cousin’s aunt got a DUI and Mike wasn’t in the car, it would not even make the news, let alone make it to Lovie’s desk.

  118. mark2001 Says:

I think some of you miss the point…the question is, will he be healthy by camp and in shape…and will he be ready for day one of the season. Lovie isn’t going to take a chance on keeping him around if he is a big question mark. We have seen these guys already cut some question marks regarding their continuing play…Joseph and Penn for example, and if he is that in their mind, he is likely gone. It isn’t personal….it is about the team.

  119. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @mark2001,

I read on Twitter he’s already been released from the hospital, so I would venture to say he’s going to be ok as far as football goes.

  120. Architek Says:

So wait, why does it now matter if he’s the victim or not when you’re cleaning house?

Give me one reason he stays after all of this noise and he was already on the bubble with a joke of a staff?

Stop kidding yourselves – wait until the summer and see where you All Pro WR lands.

  121. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“Give me one reason he stays after all of this noise and he was already on the bubble with a joke of a staff?”

    ——–

I can give you about 5 million reasons why he may not be cut, and that’s just in 2014.

  122. mark2001 Says:

Hawaii…hope so…I really wish him well…and we certainly need him 100%. As I’ve said elsewhere, we desperately need three very good receivers, with the O I think Tedford wants to run.

  123. Buc1987 Says:

Quit hitting refresh Joe has an update.

  124. Chrisfresh23 Says:

Bring on d-jax or Sammy Watkins or Mike Evans .. We can use more explosiveness at the wide receiver position. Mike Williams is just a good jump ball guy and he’ll make acouple plays here and there but he’s no home run threat. We need that guy at the WR #2 that can be a legit speed threat… Get us more talent!!!

  125. tmaxcon Says:

Hawaiian Buc – i witness first hand a couple of nfl pro bowlers having a great time on Hotel street when I was stationed in Hawaii.. I took some notes. LOL… Nothing wrong with parting and tearing up just keep the cops out of and the Knives in the kitchen drawer. Unfortunately, it takes some players to hit bottom before waking up. regardless of fault he has been in the news too much. not to mention he has tarnished if not ruined any potential trade value. Huli Chicken greatest invention ever.

  126. Macabee Says:

Now, Now, there is no need to crucify Mike here. Granted on it’s face it is embarrassing and regardless of his guilt or innocence doesn’t do anything to help an image already in question.

But as I recall an Owner was arrested with 3 felony counts for illegal possession a few days ago. Things happen and things can be repaired. First I hope he has no injury that would affect his ability to play football. I did a post today that suggested we might seek to trade Mike. I said that without regard to his private life.

Mike is a big pretty good possession WR that can’t separate and can’t stretch the field. WR is the deepest position I this draft and we should seek to improve the performance of our team regardless of Mike’s personal life.

He has value and out of anger shouldn’t be summarily cut for whatever his personal situation, we should seek to recover our investment. When all of the information is in, calmer heads will prevail and the right decision regarding Williams will be made.

  127. Vico Says:

I hope he’s well and the wound is not severe.

  128. rick Says:

Jason, its for you. Belichek is on line one.

  129. Cobraboy Says:

What are the numbers of MW is a June 1 cut?

I don’t see him as a “Lovie” guy at all…

  130. buc'd Up Says:

    Oh, poor Mikey….

I say the hell with him, cut him. What should we do? Hold his hand and show him how to live his life. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have to answer for all the choices I make. I’m tired of athletes and celebs getting a free pass. Next man up!

  131. lurker Says:

“Someone PLEASE tell me where the “O” is going to come from and don’t say it is only MARCH!”

“This offense is going to be epically bad.”

“Welcome to Lovieball buddy. Offense, offense, offense, did you just mention offense? Ha ha ha ha ha ha.”

    —————————————————————
reminds me of lovie at his news conference after game 1:

“We’re talking about offense, man. (laughter from the media crowd) We’re talking about offense. We’re talking about offense. We’re not talking about the game. We’re talking about offense. When you come to the arena, and you see me coach, you’ve seen me coach right, you’ve seen me give everything I’ve got, but we’re talking about offense right now.”

(riff on allen iverson’s “we’re talkin about practice” news conference.)

  132. BoJim Says:

    Mcruzer Said:

“For all of you guys that say people are rushing to judgement and all of the facts need to come out first. Out of the 1000 times i have had a keg party, family bbq, meal, get together, etc. no one ever has been stabbed. You know why? Cause i choose to associate, invite over (even relatives) that have a certain classiness as in they dont stab people.”

Guilt by association huh? Guess he should’ve known that he was going to be stabbed by his BROTHER. You just keep partying on Bra.

All you haters are self righteous knobs.

  133. DWC2 Says:

Maybe we got the wrong Williams, Mike couldn’t out run his brother with a knife and the brother is out running the cops…..
