“I Don’t Feel Pressure”

Bucs WR Mike Evans said he doesn't expect double-teams this Sunday.

Bucs WR Mike Evans said he doesn’t expect double-teams Sunday.

America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, has said pressure doesn’t mean anything to him, strongly hinting that those who feel pressure are unsure of themselves and unprepared, if not scared.

Jameis is anything but unsure of himself and once noted how he is not afraid of any man.

It seems Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans has the same mentality.

With Vincent Jackson likely out Sunday, and no one can bank of Austin Seferian-Jenkins to suit up, Evans will be the target not just for Jameis, but for the Giants to shut down.

Joe, along with the rest of the Tampa Bay pen and mic club, had a chance to talk to Evans today and Joe asked him if he feels any pressure this week, since he will easily be the go-to receiver.

“I don’t think so,” Evans said when Joe asked if he expects to be double-teamed. The Giants “have good corners. [Prince] Amukamara I think will be playing. [Giants also have] Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. They have good corners, so I don’t think they will double me.

“I don’t feel pressure.”

It’s good to know Evans doesn’t feel pressure. and if one can gauge the past two weeks, with the Bucs having their wide receiver corps riddled with injuries, Evans rose his game and had his best two outings of the season.

A good day by Evans and the Bucs just might be able to hang with the Giants in a shootout, as both teams’ defenses are rotten to the core, the Giants’ leading the NFL in yards allowed per game.

Why then do I always want to shake him and tell him to “man up”. Maybe, it’s just me.

Popped that pressure cooker lid. What me worry! Put the spotlight on Evans, the backups will show up.

He’s only in his second season and he’s been hobbled by that damn hammy. He’s pretty much all we got on offense besides JW and Martin. I’ll stand pat by usual statement I always make about “young” NFL players. Give them a true 3 years to show what they’ve got. And NO the same does not apply to HC’s in today’s NFL.

How anyone can come on here still and tell us that Schiano’s(no good college coach) D was worse than Lovie’s is beyond me, but they still think that despit what they’ve seen.

Told my older brother(a Pat’s fan and FSU alum) on the 4th of July I’ve got 3 words for you. “We Got Jameis”. His answer : “Oh really who are you guys going to get with the first pick in the next draft?” My answer : “We won’t be picking first, we’ll be picking somewhere around the 4th or the 5th.”

I’m really not sure if my brother is right or I am at this point. Lot’s of games left to be played.

WoW! There’s someone with my screen name up top, flattered.

Mike Evans is truly a stud WR…..no doubt about it…..sure he’s looking for a penalty because there have been many no calls against him….every time he seems to touch a defender he gets called.

There are and always will be very high expectations of ME13 because he was a high draft pick…..sort of like Mark Barron, Adrian Clayborn & Josh Freeman…..where are those great Dominick picks?

    Hi there NBF!

How does that happen? Really had no idea that you already existed! Are you okay with this? If not, I can become NBF2 I guess.

I’m an avid JW supporter, which might differ from your point of view and cause confusion in posts. Whatever works.

Evans needs to start going up for these deep balls and not letting them get to him first.

Mike Evans will be a great receiver in the NFL. His attitude is spot on. Like him, jameis, and I, we all believe in ourselves no matter what happens, and to fear any man, is to fail. Unfortunately for me though, I am not 6-5 230.

I’m the biggest Bucs fan in the world. I have been for 12 years now since I was a kid watching the 2002 super bowl. Whole family full of raiders fans and I hated it! But I loved chucky, sapp, brooks and alstott. I guess what I’m trying to say is it is so relieving yet sataifysing that everyone is board with the JW train. He is the real deal, I knew he was after the Clemson game freshman year. Never thought we would have the opportunity to grab him #1. I haven’t seen the fans comments and thoughts been so positive and collective in my life! We have franchise players all around the team that are on the verge of grasping their full potential. Jameis is the Leader now, even Logan said so. The team is playing for Kwon which hopefully sparks something in that secondary cause that’s all we need!!

    @87

Both you and your brother are right… There you happy you loser…. Seriously your ego and need to be right about such non-sinsical poo is absolutely without a doubt sofa king we taught it… Go tell your wife how right you are about marrying the wrong woman or something!!!

Lovie said, “as soon as we can replace them we will but for now we are stuck with these talentless losers Fans of Depression and Trolls.”

I hope you enjoy being made fun of and picked on for the reason of me having my opinion of you like you have your opinion of Lovie…. If there was real reason to dog the guy I would be right there with you…. Actually no I wouldn’t I would just stop paying attention to the BUCS like I did the last several years…. Maybe you should do the same if you feel so depressed all the time because of this team

Evans plays timid n soft when up against aggressive corners. For this is the reason he juggle or drop passes right in his hands or anticipate the fall after the hit with more focus on hitting the ground opposed to securing the ball to prevent a challenge over a questiontionable catch. He continues to push off before a catch which results to a flag against us. Evans may b on the verge of b n a cloned Clayton.Evan gives up on some plays. Julio jones plays with heart n true grit. Had the ball been taken away from Evans by the defense no way he hustles back to make a play.

  18. Buc1987 Says:

Jab83…will YOU be at Sunday’s game? I doubt it.

Will I? Yes I will be, and probably the one after that as well…..

I pay my money I’ll bitch and moan for good reason.

All you do is come up with nonsense such as “Lovie turned into an offensive coach while in his basement.” That’s the stuff that gets you through.

Ya want to know who’s just as negative about our HC? The freaking founders of JBF you silly DOLT!

Read the FREAKING articles, listen to them on the radio. Do you get the vibe that they support Lovie Smith? No you don’t or else you wouldn’t be bothering with me. I know it must be tough dealing with someone such as myself that has 3 times the brains as someone like yourself, but that’s not my fault.

Let me know when Lovie reaches the same Bucs win total as that no nothing college coach Greg Schiano. Schiano won 11 games in 2 years having never coached in the NFL before. Lovie’s won 5 with all his vast experience.

You picking on me??? I piss on people like you.

  19. Buc1987 Says:

Sorry for being so harsh Joe, but this is the zoo that you’ve built and I’m just one of the many animals in it. Jab83 is like a squirrel and I’m the Lion. It’s really not a fair fight actually, but he keeps firing acorns at me and after awhile I’m going to bite!

After being gone for a month, I am now more convinced than ever that the majority of people who post out here are not only delusional, but angry and depressed about their own wretched lives.
