Kyle Brindza, Go Home

October 4th, 2015
Leave.

Leave.

Enough! Joe doesn’t give a damn how far you can kick a field goal so long as you miss chip shots time and again.

Already Kyle Brindza, who has two of the longest field goals in Bucs history, has cost Tampa Bay 17 points in two games (well, through six quarters).

That is simply unacceptable by any standard. After Brindza, who has the aim of Mr. Magoo, missed his second field goal Sunday against the Stinking Panthers, that brought his batting average to 6-of-12, for .500.

If this were baseball, he’d be Cooperstown bound. But this is the NFL and the real world. If you screwed up making that many sandwiches at Subway you’d get run.

The only place Joe can think of where Magoo could find steady work with so many mistakes would be McDonalds, or whatever radio station Dan Sileo works at.

Yes, we can scream about Magoo as much as we want. But who decided to keep him after his gag effort in Houston when teams with playoff hopes have cut their losses for lesser offenses?

If the Steelers can toss aside Josh Scobee after trading for him, then he Bucs sure as hell can call security at One Buc Palace to clean out Magoo’s locker.

Lovie running this franchise in the ground!

  3. (Formerly Jolly) Bucs Fan Says:

Get brindza out and ban him for life from the city of tampa

  4. Jerry Says:

    Connor Barth. He’s accurate.

  5. denjoe Says:

We had a kicker another idiotic decision from or idiot coach!!!

  6. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Kyle Brindza

I love you as a kicker

  7. kh Says:

The fact that he was still our kicker this week is proof positive that Lovie and Licht are both incompetent. Great going Glazers. Cut Brindza, then fire Lovie.

  8. Getaclue Says:

Or whatever radio station Dan Sileo is at, lmao

  9. lightningbuc Says:

After watching Jaboo today, how can anyone care about the kicker?

If Jaboo was worth half a crap, the kicker wouldn’t be so important!

  10. Danr Says:

I am now on board. clearly the texans didnt think the field was to blame for thier kicking last week and got a new guy.

do we see if donavan will kick for us!?

  11. theodore Says:

    I’ve forgotten all about Sileo.

  12. Tampa Tony Says:

The Sileo dig was hilarious. Lovie should’ve cut him last week. 3-17 and counting…

  13. Ray Rice Says:

    Someone call Martin Gramatica!

  14. Tom Edrington Says:

Well it was Joe(s) a few weeks ago who were school-girl silly over the fact the Brinza could kick it so damn far!!!

  15. Ray Rice Says:

Maybe Lawrence Tynes will agree to come back!

  16. pelbuc Says:

L&L picked the wrong QB, kicker, WR , RB, DE, DB, OT and extended the injured one and the one who forgot how to tackle. When do the billboards go up?

  17. DefenseRules Says:

Once a kicker has lost his confidence, the dance is over.

Bucs had Barth, Murray and Brindza to pick from. Two were established kickers with good track records. The third was an unproven rookie who could kick the ball a mile.

In typical Bucs fashion, we all knew which one they’d pick.

  18. Buc15 Says:

Welcome back to Tampa Barth Vader!

  19. Oahubuc Says:

Remember that wedding pic of Raheem and Freeman? Someone should whip one up with Lovie and Brindza. So emblematic of this regime.

  20. LeeC Says:

    George Yarno!!!

  21. BuccaneerBonzai Says:

You had to keep Kyle Brindza for this week. Like it or not.

Everyone has a bad week once in a while. Kyle Brindza had one last week. You needed at least another week to see if it was a rookie fluke.

It wasn’t. Now there is justification to replace him. Connor Barth doesn’t have a lot of leg…but he’s accurate in the FGs that are tried most often. I would rather miss the occasional 50+ FG than every 50- FG.

  22. ruggyup Says:

Calling Bill Polian and a convoy of dump trucks.

  23. Tampa Tony Says:

I’m skipping the game next week and taking my Wife out instead. Sick of wasting my time with these losers

  24. Rrsrq Says:

As much as interceptions hurt, those missed chip shot field goals are just as depressing and they put more pressure on the offense

  25. Destinjohnny Says:

We traded tim for this ?

  26. BucTrooper Says:

This web site is famous for attaching nicknames to Bucs players and coaches. I say we start calling Love Smith “Jodie Foster,” because Kyle Brindza treated Lovie just like Jodie Foster in “The Accused” after Lovie stood up for Kyle after that HORRIFIC Texans game.

    “Thanks for trusting me.”

  27. SchlomieBarMitzvahCircumScissorStein Says:

No, No, it’s okay! He just had a bad game….Why is the coach of Atlanta having so much success?? Lol!

  28. MTM Says:

The kicking situation just proves how incompetent Lovie really is. Every good organization has a good kicker in place to start the season and if they need one they go get them. How f*cking stupid can one team and organization look for so long. I will say that without a doubt this team will be horrible with the current ownership. You could give them the next 10 years worth of number 1 picks and they would manage to f&ck it up.

  29. ChrisCo4Bucs Says:

    This is getting pathetic

  30. Tbbucs3 Says:

The Jamarus Russel of kicking, lets just get Connor Barth back here.

  31. SchlomieBarMitzvahCircumScissorStein Says:

No, No! It’s Okay! When Schiano was coach, everyone at One BUC hated him according to the stuttering-stammering-Scott Brantley-fist receiving-show host. But, since Love is now in the building, everyone is fine, even though they aren’t winning. If you really think about it, that’s all that should matter. As long as people in the building are happy! LOL!

  32. destro44 Says:

Seriously were worried about our kicker. Like he is standing between us and the playoffs. If he was a freakish WR who is dropping alot of passes we wouldn’t fire him. Let the kid try and develop

  33. Buccfan37 Says:

Brindza was probably much cheaper than Barth or Murray. Cheapskates!

  35. Curse of Gruden Says:

Fire the kicker now, fire Lovie at the bye.

  36. bucsbedabest Says:

Lovie Smith press conference after the Carolina loss on kicker Kyle Brindza – “He had another bad game.” “Kyle is our kicker..”

  37. No better way to say it Says:

Make those two kicks at it is 17-16 and a much different game.

  38. Joe Roberts Says:

Get Barth for PATs and most FGs and keep Brindza for kickoffs and FG attempts outside of Barth’s range. It’s the best use of a roster spot on this team.

  39. Bucs4821 Says:

    Fwd from Twitter –

Hi. I’m Week 1-2 Kyle Brindza. I have DirectTV.
And I’m Week 3-4 Kyle Brindza, and I have cable.

  40. Pat Says:

Where the heck is Connor Barth? Or is it the same M.O. …we don’t want to put points on the board. GREAT!

  41. IdahoBucsfan Says:

This coach can’t make a good decision about Anything! I miss Schiano!!

  42. youngjohn9 Says:

    I miss barth
