Tampa Bay’s dismantling of the Eagles in the opening playoff round was a surreal moment for the man who hand-picked his successor as Bucs coach.

Bruce Arians and Todd Bowles have known each other for four decades. There have been ups and downs for both men, hirings and dismissals that tested their resolve. At one point in this roller-coaster of a season, Arians grew concerned that Bowles and a staff assembled primarily by Arians were about to be shown the door. (more…)
