For the first time in 19 years, the Bucs won a home playoff game (the Super Bowl was not a home game). And as a result of yesterday’s win and the 49ers beating the Cowboys, the Bucs will host two playoff games in the same postseason for the first time since 1979. Lavonte David Will Miss At Least Four Weeks

Tuesday, December 21st, 2021

Joe picked up bad news from a trusted source this afternoon.

Lavonte David will miss the rest of the regular season and Wild Card weekend of the playoffs. His foot injury could be a complete season-ender but that’s unclear at this time.

What makes this extra awful is David had such a great game against the Saints before he got hurt late. He recorded 3 tackles for loss, a sack and 11 total tackles before exiting Sunday night in the fourth quarter.

It seemed like David finally was 100 percent from his October ankle injury that he explained was a long healing process.
