Watch Freeman, Grimm Play Golf
March 13th, 2012Joe’s friends at WTSP-TV, Ch. 10 were out at the PGA Tournament opening festivities in Palm Harbor yesterday and caught up to Josh Freeman and Cody Grimm, who were playing in the Pro-Am tournament. Freeman looks like he’s dropped significant weight. Check out the video.

I almost mistook Freeman for Chocolate Rain with the weight he lost. Well that’s a good sign that he’s been training hard.

Wow…30 lbs down and a haircut…schaino running a tight ship? Cody got a haircut too…saw him after his injury and he looked homeless. First sign of dicipline?

I like that hes lost some wait. Should be more agile and quicker which we need him to be a lot of time. Hell they probably trying to make him cam newton.

Pull up some clips when Schiano talks about Freeman. He always laughs, pauses and then talks about Freeman’s size. One of the first things Schiano said about Freeman was when Rutgers played him in college if Freeman just ran to the outside they couldn’t beat him. Freudian slip?

Cody Grimm cracks me up … Looks like he doesnt shave yet … No muscle definition … 5’11 maybe … And is just a dirty dog against the Run … Cracks me up.

Grimm’s physique is less impressive in person. BUT, he is very intelligent and knows how to play his position. Defense is about position. Plus, although he doesnt look like a football player, he is very quick and agile. I just hope his leg injuries havent limited that.

Supposedly his knee injury last season was a lot better than previously thought … I guess he was near full speed by the end of the season.

Glad to see Freeman lose weight. It was sort of a bad sign last season when players like Blount and Freeman put up a lot of weight. It showed a bit of lax in their habits, not being worried about losing their starting job and not pushing themselves to limit.
Now Freeman knows how life is after a superb season and after a bad bad season. This time last year Freeman was being praised by an expert on a daily basis. This year, nada, on top of there is a vibe that Freeman is one of the worse QBs of the league. Hopefully he has felt the shame and puts in 110% to excel.

Freeman was in the video for all of 1 1/2 seconds from a good 40 yards away. I don’t know how anyone could make a determination of his weight accurately based off of such minuscule footage.
