Baker Mayfield Passing Chart Against Carolina
October 28th, 2026
Every pass charted.
Really, the only difference between Baker Mayfield’s passing chart from his first three starts and his passing chart at Carolina on Sunday is just one element.
Against the Stinking Panthers, Mayfield didn’t throw the ball much.
Just by looking at the passing chart, it looks like the same ol’ blech passing game as the rest of the season. Dink-and-dunk with several completions behind the line of scrimmage.
Bucs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson must think the NFL awards points for throwing behind the line of scrimmage. Yeah, Joe knows Mayfield has a bum thumb.
However, Mayfield’s longest throw of the day by air yards, his only throw over 17 yards, was a 14-yard touchdown pass to Tez Johnson.
Mayfield scrambled from pressure and was way behind the line of scrimmage when he uncorked that pass. Mayfield let loose on the pass from the Carolina-27 and Tez caught that pass in the middle of the end zone.
Look, Joe may kvetch about the dink-and-dunk offense. But a win is a win and the Bucs didn’t need to lean on Mayfield’s arm.
Because the Bucs simply freight-trained the Stinking Panthers with a ferocious ground attack.

So many fans on here are surprised by this offense. I don’t get it! This is exactly who Robinson is and it’s who Bowles wanted. This is playing ball control football. Problem is it only works if the defense is playing great football. Bowles gambled on this and the first few games this year he lost. Even some of the best defenses in the league are giving up points (except the Vikings) Bucs suffered from turnovers which hurts, but the D gave up two winning drives that Bowles didn’t think would happen.
